just start off what does it mean to you to sign the extension and being being here for the perable future yeah it means a lot uh first off you know I like to thank the whole Broncos organization my agent Tory Dandy for making it happen um it's honestly surreal um just seeing the Gratitude behind it um and how much it means for this organization and for myself um I'm glad to be here for many years to come and looking to build on the future for sure oh sorry uh you're also named the captain today as well just you spoke on throughout the All Season about being more of a leader um within the defense and the team as a whole so what does that that honor being a captain mean to you it means a lot um you know it's a testament to how my teammates think of me um as an individual um I'm ready to take on that Captain role and um looking forward to this year obviously it's my first year being a captain um I'll don't take that role very lightly I mean it's a huge honor for me to be able to lead such a great team moving forward uh towards the season so um I'm honestly very grateful for it and um I can't wait for the year to start how do you feel about you're now the highest paid defensive pack in NFL history by average Cher for year how do you feel about that and does it put any extra pressure on you to perform or anything like that um it means a lot uh for sure um you know in that margin but at the end of the day I just focus on doing the best I could uh do on the field being the best version of myself each and every day um I don't try to allow the pressure get to me you know I mean I build off of it you know just play the game that I play and love doing so what have these last 24 hours been like getting the contact and then also uh being the captain yeah um first of all the cont it's like a huge burden off my shoulders man um I'm honestly just very relieved from it you know I mean just to be able to uh sign and seal that deal man um it's honestly a blessing for sure and being a captain for the team means a lot um it shows how much this organization Believes In Me this team Believes In Me and uh like I said I don't take that for granted and know I'm going give it everything I got on that field this year for sure sometimes see these these top players the deals take a while to get done and it stretches into the fourth year stretches in you know some guys have to hold out I mean just how grateful are you that it didn't get to that and kind of really early on in the process as soon as they could do it this happen but how nice is it just kind of get rid of all that other stuff yeah um like I said it's it's life changing honestly to be able to get this deal done uh so early in my career um you know some people don't be able to see second contracts and to be able to see that and uh to be able to have that deal done it's honestly a blessing um and I'm honestly relieved by it um I'm thinking about what I'm going to get first first purchase coming up so um I'm definitely thinking about that coming up soon but um yeah I'm honestly just very grateful honestly I mean I was just it just kept kept me grounded I could say but also humbled at the same time what's on that list a short list of things uh that you got I'm trying I got I got to give me a new ride or something man you know what I mean that's that's something that's been on my booket this for sure how proud is how proud is your dad of you and what did he say to you about the contract I mean I just think he's very proud um just you know how far I've came you know him seeing me grow into the person I am today um you know he was very happy and ecstatic for me just CU just knowing how much this organization believes in me to be able to get that deal done but he knows the work I put in on a daily day in and day out and um honestly this moment um I feel like this moment was just as surreal for him as it was for me so um you know just having him by my side um since I was y High to where I'm at now was honestly a blessing I was just curious you said burden let a lot ption show a lot of the time was it more of a weight on you than you let on no not in that terms not in a negative way uh just in terms of you know just being able to get it done um you know at at a good good calls you know but at the end of the day listen uh being a part of this organ organization means a lot to me and you know playing here for a few more years um I'm honestly happy to be here for sure question your discipline technique you if not the best certainly that conversation is best corner is there a Temptation at all this year to try to make more plays or ask to be put on their number one so you get more targets that allows you to not in baseball parland get intentionally walked is there any you want to say I could be more of a playmaker if I follow a guy or take a few more risks yeah um you know that that comes with it that comes with the game obviously um you know I'm just willing to grow and willing to get better each and every year and I know what I could work on and I know what I could get better at and um you know I'm very confident in my abilities but you know I mean I know that you know there's a high ceiling for me you know what I mean and you know I'm just looking forward to keep on getting better each and every year
