what's up guys this is Aaron we're back for the 2024 college football season week one if you've been following on Twitter already a couple of plays that hit tonight um had a live beted in the Georgia Tech Florida State game that one uh three and0 so far not too bad we got quite a few to go here so we're just going to Rapid Fire for week one these lines have been out for you know going on two months or so um so no need to you know delve too far into um the week one games we'll start that next week all right let's see for tomorrow uh we got Syracuse uh minus 14 it's up to 17 a 12 18 18 and a half now um so basically Kyle McCord comes in for Syracuse offensive coordinator um new head coach Fran Brown comes from Georgia so he's got that physical pedigree um they DC they just hired came from A&M you know kind of the same situation there from the SEC um you've got uh their running back Allen's a thousand yard guy um they brought in an all Mountain West um wide receiver they brought in um or the tight end ore gadon comes back from injury he had over 900 yards uh two seasons ago so uh plenty of returning Firepower for Syracuse uh on the other hand Ohio returns six starters total to on offense four on defense um they lose uh roor he transfers to Indiana number two alltime passer is gone now um you know among uh let's see uh they got the they lost their top three tacklers with almost 300 tackles total uh 20 tackles for loss six interceptions uh nine of their top 12 tacklers are gone let's see uh they lost their backup quarterback top six wide receivers you know I could go on but um in this case you've got uh Syracuse with a little bit of SEC pedigree going on and then you've got Ohio you know it's a Mac team that lost pretty much everything so let's take Syracuse uh the 17 and a half will be fine uh the next one is Virginia Tech uh minus 12 and a half I think it's up to 13 and a half now against fandy uh so okay it's at Vandy um but Virginia Tech uh they bring back uh 20 plus starters chyon drones the qub back is back uh you know he's a kind of a dual threat guy um you know Vandy I mean Clark Lee's done a a I guess a reasonable job in the transfer portal era um but anybody who's anybody on Vandy leaves you know the quarterback's gone uh the backup quarterback's gone so they bring in Diego Pavia from New Mexico State he was pretty good there uh for a lower level team sure um so let's just take Virginia Tech this is another one of those cases where you're taking a team that's got a lot of returning production that is proven against a team that is pretty much just getting gutted year in and year out uh let's see another one uh Kent State plus 24 a half I think it's down to 24 now that's okay we'll take that uh so basically pit has sort of a rivalry game next week against Cincinnati um on week two uh pit new quarterback it's um either going to be Eli Holstein or Nate yorell uh yorell has played a little bit of football Eli Holstein comes from Alabama where he was buried on the dep chart uh you know fourth or fifth guy uh so he's out um uh transferred to pit um you know as far as um Kent State goes they were extremely gutted last year you know new head coach knew everything uh their best players are going off to you know bigger schools to uh to compete um so this year they have n uh nine on offense and four on defense backs so that's 13 total uh that's not too bad compared to last year owski is the quarterback he had a 7-2 ratio um it's pretty good you know he played a little bit of football last year um they return four starters on the offensive line so I do believe uh that they can score a few 14 17 something like that and I think that even if pit does get a little bit of a blowout going on um they probably rest some starters um and as far as as far as the quarterback situation goes I really don't think they're going to be too explosive um their defensive line is not quite what it was in years past uh like for example when they won the ACC conference a few years ago um so let's go ahead with Kent State plus 24 um so I got I'll just tell you one um BC plus 17 um I got it at 21 when it uh first came out the line was up um during the Florida state Georgia Tech game you know obviously um trying to react a little bit um ahead of time to Florida State kind of struggling in that game you know they they're going to win probably by double digits but um in my case you know getting three touchdowns with a a casos as a mobile quarterback you know they can do a little bit that Georgia Tech did um you know and hopefully hang in there um at the 17 you know you kind of lost a little too much value but um especially if you can get a live line that's something like you know 2021 with Bost in college um I'd probably take that um let's see a little bit of Rapid Fire here um Louisville I think it's minus 37 now against Austin P Austin P's got it they lost the coach they lost a bunch of players brought in a bunch of transfers they only have two returning starters that actually started for them last year uh their new head coach he's 34 years old you know and kind of a newbie in the game uh they return one of their top 14 tacklers from last season uh Louisville brings in Tyler shock uh they got an All-American receiver from South Alabama coming in um you know last year they beat Murray State 56 to Zer so you do know that um early on they are willing to run the score up a little bit in cover numbers uh let's see uh Memphis minus 38 and a half uh I mean this number is good you know probably 42 against North Alabama uh they beat him a couple of years ago I think it was 50 90 something like that um so Memphis is also a team that's willing to run the score up early um they do have Troy next week um I don't think that they'll particularly put the um you know the backups in too early um you know the starting quarterbacks back you know they got um they got plenty back uh whereas with North Alabama that's kind of a bottom feeder FCS school um they got you know the the starting quarterback last week for uh Simo uh he was out I think like the second quarter around halftime um North Alabama is in the game and then even with the backup quarterback Simo takes off and beats some 3715 so they lost by 22 um you know to another FCS school so you know Memphis can probably double that um so let's go with Memphis there um let's see also looking at I'll give you one more um Iowa under 40 and a half um this one Memphis and Louisville um you should should be able to find this at a legal shop off sure not so much right now um you know Iowa unders let's just go with that all right so let's see how this turns out uh we'll get back to it next week um if I got anything else you know I'm I'm
