getting text messages stuff photos um Photoshop photos and um other allegations being sent to his his his parents' house of course his parents still live just outside Napoli in the place that that that he grew up um and it got to a point where when stuff would get sent to his parents his mom and dad had a procedure where they'd stick on some of those sort of rubber surgeons gloves all very CSI and pick up the letters with a pair of tweezers and put them in a plastic bag as advised to do so by officer picol and this is something that he obviously found really difficult um this is nuts though isn't it yeah on on on a family level and found it very difficult to concentrate on his football the move to Juventus was was done and he he felt it had to be done he had get him away from this kind of harassment he was suffering back in Napoli yes and so anyway um after after that it goes away for the summer um goes uh goes on holiday with his with his with his family uh with with his close friend uh who works in the phone shop who who who runs his own phone shop and um an attorney that's based in his local um his his hometown and they they'll get to they'll get to chatting um while they're out one evening on the boat and it turns out that uh the attorney who's a friend of his dads has had a similar thing and he said you know what I think I know who this is I think I know who this is and he was shaken down in the same way by the same officer and he suspected it was him and he said look I know it's you pinned him against the wall and said look I know it's you just pack it in and the messages stopped immediately so they work out from there they set up a Sting with uh the the help of of this attorney and then it eventually gets taken to the police qu's father had suspected something before and that then it's all confirmed by this thing all the evidence goes into the police but the court case rumbles on until Piccolo is finally convicted and given five and a half years in jail in 2017 and that's when it can all come out and the neapolitans oh man and the Napoli fans the Napoli fans who have been given him stick for all these years and accused him of selling out and even when he went his family would still get abuse in the street your son we know you know what he did to our club and all the rest of it and the the Ultras come out some of the most forthright Ultras in Italian football and go you know what Fabio we're sorry wow and we didn't we didn't know any of this and I don't think it's any particular coincidence that is form at Sor has been the best of his entire career ever since of course he can't buy those years back no in in Naples let me ask you and I mean sorry I know you speak about 15 languages and you you're forever Italian is not one reading and researching you may not know the answer this but let me ask anyway that's how we work radio did Piccolo ever explain what he was trying to do what it was all about he claimed it was all a huge mistake wow which is clearly not the case because he's Don it to lots of lots of other people um but it's something that um Fabio quella having explained it once and there's there's a brilliant article which is something you would need to devote devote a good 30 minutes of your life to it's a pretty long article by the brilliant Kelly Nai who writes it for Bleacher Report she wrote I think last year it's fantastic I would say to listeners look that up it's it's a brilliant read and that gives you all the details of of the case and she actually went and met Rafael Piccolo and got his side of it as as well is speaking to quella and for him to come out and speak to it cuz he's such an intensely private person was very interesting as well um but the way he's been able to move on from that put it behind him and for this season at 36 years old well he's outscoring Cristiano Ronaldo it is amazing well look the I mean first of all let's just say this is the stuff of nightmares it's the stuff of Kafka it's the stuff of line of duty where you're you you you have a desperate problem and the police person investigating it turns out to be the actual criminal I mean you couldn't write it well the thing is for confidentiality reasons as he said officer Piccolo he said you can't tell anyone about this so he he he didn't tell even alelia detis the owner of Napoli because deenus has said your mind's not on things why don't you move closer to the stadium feel more part of it so that didn't work and he never actually told the lenes and no one around him knew apart from his very closest Family his mom and dad and his his best friend no one knew about it until 2017 I guess the kind of emotional energy the emotional pressure he would have been under it gets released when it all comes out you're right to say that it gets a sort of Pardon from the uh Napoli Ultras um by which time I say you he moved from Juventus then on to Trin to Torino and now he's at s dor for the last three years and I guess combination of the science that you talked about at the start of the show and the emotional release of all this stuff getting into the public domain you're right to say he's got better and better and better and in a time where we've been looking at you know runs of people scoring goals in excessive games you know um the I call the Jamie vardy syndrome yes um he's done something amazing we reported on trans Europe Express not only is he in good general form but he went through an amazing run in the last well during the season yeah he matched the Ser record of one Gabriel batistuta of scor you don't mind in 11 successive Ser uh games and like I said he scores every type of goal these days so it's not just in the Box it's outside the box absolutely spectacular goals scissor kicks uh great penalty taker he's got a ton of assists this season as as well um at the time we're recording he's at the mark of of of 25 Ser hour goals with just a couple of games of The Season's season left and he's he's odds on to get the Capo canoni title which is the top scorer of the Season at thir 6 and a half years old and and not playing for one of the division's best teams no and in a world full of um International Football being played by UT Dem um he's also back in the Italian Squad he is after an eight and a half year Gap I mean he scored at the 2010 World Cup scored one of the best goals at the 2010 World Cup in vain against Slovakia um that nearly saved them a chip from outside the box on a goalkeeper who was stood on his line pretty much uh and he came back and became the oldest goal scorer for the Italian national team at 36 in March when he scored against lonstein you this is the original happy ending to what turned out to been a very dark and Nations League continues with wales's trip to Montenegro the Craig Bellamy era got off to an encouraging start against turkey on Friday but now they look to back that up here with a performance with goals and a victory [Music] high ball into the penalty area and it's nodded in by Joe Roden and Wales are Level different opposition um different threats different qualities different weaknesses and Ramsey makes no mistake rolls it calmly into the corner and the Wales fans celebrate what's important is that we show progression so that we can learn from these mistakes and improve as a team I think what's needed is a Craig Bellamy Style I think they'll have more possession I think they'll start to press up higher we want to win every single game and we want to show the fans the fans that will spend their hard earned money go into wherever we go and we're all still as hungry as ever well the Wales fans arrived in Nick and Pog Garita the capital of Montenegro yesterday temperatures in excess of 30° bright Sunshine Clear Blue Skies but it's been a very different story today the weather has broken spectacularly over this part of Montenegro there have been electrical storms torrential rain and that has persisted all the way through to kickoff time in nixit this evening the Second City in Montenegro and this Stadium only holds around 5,000 people much of it is open to the elements and those fans who are here tonight will be getting an absolute soaking watching their team here are the two sides and we'll start with five changes from that draw with turkey a debu in goal for Carl darlo Chris meam comes into the defense Ole Cooper also into Midfield with Kea Moore and Louie kumas in the attack and it will be interesting to see kumas given his opportunity in a competitive game from the start so the team in fault is daro in goal meam rhen and Davis the back three Roberts Cooper ampadu and Williams across Midfield with kumas Moore and Wilson leading the attack Robert preni the Croatian Legend has made four changes for Montenegro from their side which lost 2-n against Iceland that includes a return for the veteran Stefan ytic formerly of Manchester City really had the potential to be a great player but an injury hit career but he's still going at the age of 34 and currently unattached looking for a new club as a free agent they have matovic in goal marusic ruic cpic and vich are the back four berovic and yovich in Midfield with kamay ytic and christovich behind mosa in attack Dean Saunders good evening to you evening conditions absolutely appalling for Defenders yeah for as a striker they're perfect I used to love it when it was like this you know there there's just mistakes Defenders can't let the ball bounce this the ball skids little simple passes across the back go astray uh rebounds off the goalkeeper so um for a striker it's good but this this goes back to the old days doesn't it you see stadiums like this I didn't I didn't think they existed anymore only 5,000 capacity it's the home to the monegan under 21 side Wales previously played twice in Montenegro in the capital POG Garita which is a far larger Stadium holds around 15,000 and they've lost twice including John tac's final game in charge in a European qualifier for 2012 but Montenegro are not in great shape themselves three successive victories and the key aspect of their loss against Iceland Dean was their weakness at set pieces yeah I watched the game they let two goals in from Corners not just let two in they got away with about six to seven and free Quicks especially in swingers coming into the box goalkeepers seem to be in trouble they looked at the whole back four looked as if they were struggling to head the ball out the box so I'm sure Craigs watched that and that'll be an Avenue for us to score but we've not scored for four games now um and it's either going to come from a set play tonight or you like to think Lewis kumas can come into the team and bang a goal in free spirit ke for more back in the team he might Nick a goal for us but it's pointing towards a draw tonight both teams really struggling for Firepower well we we will see what happens full commentary coming up here on Nations League live on talk sport 2 and with kickoff fast approaching let's get the latest dos with William Hill In the Zone on talk sport 2 with William Hill prepare for greatness with William Hill 18 plus Gamble aware. and leaf Phelps can join us to discuss the latest starts ahead of this game good evening Lee evening Lee yeah good evening here Montenegro 14-5 to in this one the draws 21-1 and Wales I mean I think they're little short here at 21 to 20 can't disagree with the idea of a draw I think Wales will probably take that and at 21-1 Just a Touch over two to one don't mind that look if you think maybe it' be a one-1 draw so you know like like that maybe don't think there' be many goals but you think it might be a one-1 then the the score draw any kind of score draw that is is 18 to five as well I've put together a bet Builder I think I think there could be three goals in this game I think someone might just Nick it to be fair I think both teams know they have to take their opportunities and this is one of them so I'll go over 2.5 goals in a bet Builder over 3.5 cards I can see it being pretty feisty in both their previous games in the Nations League last week had had cards in them I'm going to go with Stephan ytic to have at least one shot on Target and key for more to have at least one shot on Target and that bet Builder with your 25% boost gets you a decent enough price of uh of just over 5 to one great stuff thanks Le thanks to William Hill get Epic value all season with William Hill 18 plus b gamble aware. org In the Zone on talk sport 2 with William Hill prepare for greatness with William Hill 18 plus gambl aware. and Craig Bellamy has brought his Trad Mark intensity to the role of Wales manager so far and after reflecting on his first game in charge he saw a lot of positives that he hopes to see once again here this evening watched a lot of it back of course you know watch the game back um really happy really happy um really happy with how we were without the ball because it's um it's the most important it's the most important um I know people will talk about football and a lot of you guys will see the passing or not passing and you believe this is a style or that's a style it's without the ball that's when you know you got the opportunity to becoming a really good team and um and I felt how we were able to connect defense uh with the forwards and making sure our unit um was solid but working together um and then when we released we were releasing the numbers um that was um that was the best part that really was and now um that's what we want to keep and we hold deal to well that is Craig Bellamy and the two teams are in the tunnle in next and it's noticeable that the montenegrin side are all wearing goalkeeping jerseys with the number 13 on it that was the number of Matia saric the goalkeeper of course who played for a number of clubs in England most recently with mil wall who tragically lost his life over the summer at the age of only 26 and he passed away in budvar one of the coastal towns in Montenegro whilst he was here on holiday and there was a huge Banner on the far side of the stadium as well to remember him and clearly it was an incredibly sad emotional time for so many people in football and it's very good that it's recognized here this evening D yeah it's alarming you know I think the same thing happened to Hugo EOG who I played with at Villa just just dropped dead you know over the blue perfectly fit Hugo had a sixpack to die for fit as a fiddle and it looks like this sudden heart syndrome that has happened to this young man so I suggest and I recommend everybody out there it's not too late get your children checked everybody should get checked this cuz sometimes there's something wrong inside and you don't even know well mat saric will be remembered here tonight and that is clear on and off the field from the montenegrin team and also their supporters who are currently getting absolutely drenched on The Far Side many of them have actually dispensed with their football shirts and their t-shirts at the moment they're bad chested it's not cold but it certainly is very wet according to the official UEFA official stats there is an 87% chance of rain in nixit this evening I would say they're probably slightly underestimating that as the two teams come out here the pitches seems to be taking the water Nigel you know it's not like puddles on the pitch the ball's rolling fine but uh you know you wouldn't like to be sitting on the other side of the ground with no roof on 97 qu a ticket at Villa Park I suspect if it's not £97 a ticket in nickit this evening as the two teams emerge into the rain and before the match gets underway here on talk sport 2 we will pause for the national [Music] Anem ladies and Gentlemen please stand up for National off w [Applause] [Music] I all [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] vol [Music] is [Music] two passionately sung anthems in nixit this evening and that crackling you could hear it's not your dab radio all listening online it's the rain thundering against the microphone's pits side as it continues to absolutely hose it down before this game but as you say Dean from a distance the pitch doesn't seem to be in that bad a condition no and you know just to paint the picture it's a it's like a non- league ground with a running track around the outside and the rain is bouncing off the running track the the subs are soaking wet um but the pitch looks perfect and uh I honestly if I was out there playing up front now I'd be thinking I can Nick a goal here from a mistake so the Defenders have got to be really careful our referee here tonight is Georgie kabakov and he sent off Kei for Mo in his last Wales game which was that Infamous 4-2 lot at home to Armenia in the Euro qualifiers although I don't think the referee was to blame about what really happened that night because that was a really bad moment and and that was almost the beginning of the end for Rob page wasn't it yeah I I I wouldn't say Kei for Mo a walking yellow card but he's not far off um obviously he's a big strong lad and he plays mostly in the championship when he jumps he jumps with his arms up and referees instantly give fouls if he keeps doing it he gets a yellow card so he need he needs to be careful early on the game today one other game in this group this evening turkey against Iceland in ismir of course Iceland are the early leaders in this group in League B group four following their 2-n Victory against Montenegro a reminder of the two sides again Wales darlo in goal meam rhen and Davis Roberts Cooper ampadu and Williams kumat Mo and Wilson and the Applause you can hear is for mattius sakic and there are banners all around the stadium in honor of him and we'll just pause for a second during this [Music] [Music] tribute and the Welsh fans playing a full part in that as well here is the monegan side once again matovich in goal marusic ruic of abedine cpic and vich the back four berovic and yovic in Midfield with Kami ytic and christovich behind mosa in attack among the players left out tonight ralin osich of Preston Northend but Ric of abedine does start at the heart of their defense just listen to that rain yeah and you wonder what effect the the tragedy he had on these players it's the first game since it happened some of them are in tears some of the players there you know while they giving the round of applause it's tragic events and you know you wonder how it's affected them now before kickoff Wales have just got to um defend properly tonight don't make mistakes nice football is great but what really matters in football is what happens in both boxes Montenegro in all red Wales in their chain strip of Primm Rose yellow and they get the game underway attacking the goal away to our left in the first half their second match in this edition of the UEFA Nations League the first away match for Craig Bellamy as the Wales coach and it's live on talk sport 2 as Wales look to build on the far side they want to throw in Taken quickly by Roberts in towards Keel Moore wearing the headband on the far side Williams down the line for Roberts but his cross spins High into the penalty area almost gathered by Wilson it ricochets the ball and keeper Mora scored 38 seconds played and it's the big man who comes up with the opening goal of the Greg bellamier and what a perfect start for Wales it broke kindly to key for more inside the penalty area and he swept it home with real Authority and Wales is wait for a goal has come to an end so so quickly inside the opening minute Montenegro nil Wales one what a start for Wales and there you go the ball's like a bar of soap in the 18 yd box they they failed to clear it the Defenders it's slipping sliding everywhere it's a simple clearance but because the ball so slick and it's bouncing away from people it breaks the KE for more and he takes it brilliantly side foot bottom corner in off the post what a start Harry Wilson deserves credit didn't give the ball up and I think the clearance Ricochet off Wilson into the path of Kea Moore Lewis kumat was also involved inside the penalty area but it was Mo who of course is known for scoring with his head who put that away with a moment of quality as Ethan ampadu has shown a yellow card by the referee for pulling back in Midfield and Craig Bellamy gets the perfect start here there's been so much talk so much information so many meetings things for these players but there's nothing like a goal Mar scramble leading to a goal in the first minute no and we've seen it against Iceland for Montenegro they can't clear the ball out of their box if you keep putting the ball into the box you'll get joy only two minutes played Wales already a goal up here is Wilson fighting Williams again who's playing on the right hand side of Midfield this evening back towards Wilson who hits it oh what a goal from Harry Wilson and Wales a two go s up within 2 and 1 half minutes and Harry Wilson hit that from miles out and it flew High over the head of Movic on those whale supporters who've made the journey through the wind and rain will now believe it's really worth while what an incredible start inside 3 minutes Montenegro nil Wales 2 well what a goal uh Harry Wilson we've seen this in the past from Harry from range left foot it's it's a Counterattack and and it gets swept out to niik Williams who's coming in field from the right hand side he gets tackled the ball brecks to arry Wilson and he just has a touch and hits right across it slices it and the ball goes right inside the top Corner what a goal 2-n I can't remember Wales scoring two goals in the opening 3 minutes in any game we just hope it stops raining now so the game don't get cold us well it's training goals at the moment and Williams again he's been bumped off it by ytic and the montenegrin here are absolutely stunned Wales two up in two and a half minutes well I did say Nigel before the kickoff as some of their plays were in tears before the kick it's not easy is it and you kick and you get a start like that it's not coincidence they've started as they have um so Wales have taken advantage of it um and now they've got they put they've got to keep their foot on the guy cuz the game could be over here half an hour well Robert roseni is stood there on the edge of the technical area and he looks absolutely beused he's of course someone who had such a great career as a player chain smoking playmaker in that great Croatian team and now he has taken over the montenegrin side and already he looks to be heading for his fourth success excessive defeat yeah you know and he and he's gone through his Clans before the kickoff he's he's probably gone through the the team shape and everything with the players done everything right and all that's out the window after 2 minutes they can see two I mean Harry Wilson's goal is a great strike but you know don't get me wrong that was Unstoppable but the first goal was avoidable clear the ball properly but it is like a bar assault ke Mo with this 13th International goal and Harry Wilson with his ninth and Wales team who found it so hard to score in recent times have two within the opening 3 minutes as Montenegro look to build their first attack with 5 minutes play and Wales already leading 2-n and this a Welsh team with only one win in their previous nine away games yeah and Craig took over from the back of a 4-n defeat by Slovakia in a nil nil draw with jalta so it wasn't difficult to improve on that but you know a good performance against turkey and now they've turned the good football into goals which is what really matters so he'll be delighted with that he's walking round he looks like he's got one of them bomber jacks on he looks like somebody out of busted the group he looks like Craig benamy looks like the smallest nightclub bouncer in South Wales but it's a massive technical area I think he covered every blade of grass inside the technical area at the card of City Stadium on Friday night he's got so much more room to move here with the running track and already is on the edge of the technical area with the black jeans and the white trainers as Ben Davis goes down inside the box and the corner kicks been given Davis believes he was nudged over there by Mula but Montenegro had the opportunity to try and get a foothold in this game here yeah there's another mistake Ben Davis the ball's gone over over the top of him he's running back towards his own goal trying to us it out and mistake the corner travels a long way and it's cleared away at the far post by Cooper back into the penalty area and it was over the top there and there was a Mis kick from christovich but he was flagged offside as Wales pushed out following the high ball forward down the center yeah the the ball's cleared and it got lifted back over wales's defense christovich who if you do want it to fall to one player is him totally M kicked the ball completely but luckily he was offside anyway christovich who plays for leche in Italy Seria and they do have some notable names as it's given away again by Montenegro ke for Mo looks to play down the line but he's challenged by Adam marusic of Lazio one of their more experienced players and of course staan ytic his 8th cap this evening their record goal scorer with 36 goals he's got the captain's armband most recently winning the conference league with olympios as mosa comes forward now plays a good ball into the penalty area and that should have been a goal back for Montenegro christovich on the half Bley guiding it wide and Wales defensively were all over the place there you know what Nigel I was just about to say to you is christovich has got a good goal record from when he was young this season he scored two in four games for Lei we're going to Connor Roberts is going to be after to be careful of him coming in at the back post cuz he has got a goaling string but they broke down the right hand side m has bent the ball around our back four it's a great ball and he's punched his finish and unfortunately for him it's just gone the wrong side of the post but he showed a bit of class there 8 minutes played Nations League live on talk sport 2 Montenegro nil Wales two two very early goals from Kea Mo and Harry Wilson the first under Craig Bellamy bamy has thumb up again to Oi Cooper but Wales have given away possession deep inside their own and half and I think the rain's getting heavier here well I I'm sure the the listeners can hear the crackling it's not your radio it's pounding off the floor and they've had so much good weather here over the last 3 weeks it's just the skies have emptied they certainly have and of course the pitch would have been very dry and they were looking to water it yesterday but know only for that here this evening as mosa is challenged by ampadu ampadu fighting Wilson Wilson was caught late there seemingly by yovic but the referee allows play to continue and it's played wide towards this near Side by christovich and in the end mosa going in very very late on this near side Craig Bellamy is absolutely Furious for The Challenge on Ben Davis In fairness to Davis he's not making too much of it but on this pitch which is already cutting up and cutting up fairly badly when players lunge in like that they're going to travel some distance well Ben Davis has saved mosa getting a yellow card there he's not made a meal of it because he's a good professional Ben and you never see him doing things like that but again it's the conditions as a slide tackle and I think the referee has to take that into account tonight Nigel tackles are going to be [Applause] late now Wilson high ball into the penalty area noed away this time by cpich and now Kami for Mont grow wide towards this near sight and marusich marusich is away from The Challenge of Cooper Kamai again but it's play behind marus sit and into the path of Craig bamin on the edge of the Wales technical area Wales leading here by two goals to nil with only 10 minutes played 2 N up in 2 minutes 31 seconds this game reminds me of the I don't know if you remember the Le United game at Ellen Road when the pitch was water loged and it was just tackle after slide tackle after slide tackle it was a great game to watch the crowd back to the old days this game reminds me of that well if it stays like this in an hour's time then the pitch is going to be underwater because there's been so much rain throughout the day I mean we already we can see the puddles beginning to Splash up on the field as it's brought forward now by vvi on the far side the fullback looking to take on Conor but and both slide in and both Slither over the advertising hoardings out of play it will be a goal kick yeah you can see signs of the ball sticking a little bit dragging in the puddles uh and you're right if it keeps pounding down they might have to it looks like there's a good draining system system on it so they might have to go off and come back on if it gets that bad oh played out by daro straight to ytic left hand side of the penalty area Montenegro have players forward here looking to turn plays the cross in headed away at the near post by meam who is wearing number two these days in the Wales team he was number six for so long but Joe Rhoden has that number now and Ethan ampadu has number five as it's cleared downfield by matovic and that's a good ball over the top but it just gathers Pace as it bounces off the surface and marusic unable to gather and Wales have a throw in on this near side Wales leading by two goals to nil turkey also have the lead in this group at home to Iceland in ismir this evening Kim atolo was scored there in the second minute so early goals in both of these games and it's a new format in the Nations League this time around the group winners in group b will be promoted the runners up meet a third place team from League a in a playoff to the side who goes up and who maybe stays up as far as League a is concerned the third place team will meet a runner up from League C and what is effectively a relegation playoff for them and the bottom team will be relegated and of course England are also at this level as well they'll be playing Finland tomorrow night at Wembley Harry Kane winning his 100th cap and there's full commentary of that game with Adrien Durham and the team live from Wembley as kumas gathers for Wales on this near side their left wearing number nine back in field towards rhen and now wide towards the far side again and meam and Wales here do have the license to try and play the ball around with a two-goal lead so early in the game now kumas again down the left infield towards Davis I'm sure Craig Bellamy is thinking there is the opportunity here to really have a go but now ytic will strike it incredibly from inside his own half after Wales gave the ball away and it's come off the crossbar well stepan ytic showing the presence of Mind there to have a go from fully 50 yards darlo was nowhere and he hit the crossbar well once again Wales playing out from the back Ethan ampadu sloppy and what an effort jtic he's just in wales's half first time hits it over carallo who's about 18 yards off his line and it hits the top of the crossbar so unlucky and now whals coming forward again Ole Cooper into the penalty area he's been caught right on the edge of the Box by Milos berovic and it's a free kick for Wales in a really good position here this has been a hell of a game so far well a terrific start and you know I'm looking at I do look at center backs sometimes and I'm thinking to myself if I was playing against him what would I do rubich number 19 he just runs through the back of people I watched him against ion he must have given about 20 fouls away it's just when a Striker's got his back to you and you're right behind him don't run straight into the back of him he's just going to give fouls away but he's just give another one away then got away with it but eventually the refs give a free kick on the edge of the box for those who' seen Wayne Rooney's goal at the weekend it's in exactly the same spot arry Wilson's taking the the free kick with his left foot though well Wilson of course is the setpiece specialist Kami is the draft excluder not a very nice night to be lying flat out on the turf here although the players are absolutely drenched already doesn't really make too much difference Williams and Wilson are over the free kick Cooper makes a run around the back of the wall only 15 minutes played Wales looking for a 3-n lead here already and it's left for Harry Wilson to hit it and he blazes it high and really it was play to his left and that was the wrong side there with the way the wall was positioned to try and go for goal uh that's just not the most intelligent thing I've seen the ball is like a bar of soap the goalkeeper is standing to the left side of his wall what doesn't the goalkeeper want now something bouncing around him or am it to make a save when the ball's that SL slippery and we missed the target Miles arry Wilson HS it 15 yds Over the Bar if you've just joined us on talk sport two Wales two goals up within two and a half minutes but stepan ytic has also hit the crossbar from the halfway line for Montenegro and they had a great chance for Nicola christovich as well clean through but he put it wide here is ytic again who is still a Wy player really in the Autumn days of his career as they come forward again but a low shot from the edge of the penalty area from Kamai this time is comfortable for car Doo yeah good handling from car Doo there a shot from about 25 yards bounced in front of him he handled it brilliantly and uh he must be relieved by the way on his first game getting it chipped from the halfway line um it's at the crossbar well it's an interesting situation as ever for Wales with the goalkeepers of course Danny Ward played against turkey he's had one appear for Leicester this this season against trir in the efl cup the only goalkeeper who is actually playing is Adam Davis for Sheffield United but he is seemingly third choice I mean k darlo is at leads and he may get an opportunity but not at the moment as Welles have given the ball away again as they try and work the ball through the Midfield yovic sweeps It Wide to this near side but berovic won't keep it in play as it heads towards a fire engine position behind the goal way to our right hand side that it will be a goal kick with 17 minutes played here on talk sport 2 and Wales leading 2-n yeah and Nigel in my experiences in football when we you know you got three goalkeepers it's difficult to get them all on the pitch at the same time and what they lack when they're not playing what I've found over the years reflexes go it's like any sport you know saves that they would normally make the ball's pass them already so it's difficult and it's difficult because Wales they have had goalkeepers playing of course Danny Ward had a spell when he was playing for Leicester Wayne Hennessy when Wales were at their peak in 2016 he was a regular in the Premier League but at the moment they can't seem to find a goalkeeper who's playing regular football for them yeah and you lose your sharpness and not only that you when's the last time Danny Ward got nervous before a game on a Friday you know you need that as well you need to be on the bridal um so you know tighten your breath and tight as sharp in your reflexes and um unfortunately goalkeepers if they're not playing it's hard to get a game anyway elsewhere in league b in the Nations League Norway lead Austria by a goal and they no goals in League a this evening France playing Belgium I saw Belgium on Friday Night Beat Israel 3-1 behind closed doors in Hungary Israel themselves are at home in Hungary tonight against Italy and it's it's also goalless there and in League C already a result Kosovo winning 4-0 in Cyprus and Rania who were relegated to League C due to their head-to-head record against Montenegro in the previous Edition they are a goal up against Lithuania 19 minutes played here Montenegro nil Wales two and you get the feeling that will not be the full-time score here because the way the pitch is playing and the way the fact that players from both sides are slipping and sliding there were surely more goals in this game christovich coming forward now fires the shot into the body of Connor Roberts and then looks to go for the rebound which Loops High into the air off meam and behind for a Montenegro Corner yeah but another mistake Liam Cooper this time I me he's had a bad start Liam Cooper believe it or not we're 2-0 up um he's just slipped there in the middle of the pitch they broke on us um you got to follow in tonight every shot that goes anywhere near the goal it's going to be difficult for the keepers to hold on to anything and they've got a corner and to be fair to Montenegro you know 2-0 they've not dropped their heads they've come out fighting well there's such a long time still to go in the game corner kick is whipped into the near post it's headed away initially by Cooper and then hammered in from the edge of the Box by yovich with real power and he collided there with Nico Williams and play has just been halted Williams seemed to be clutching his face and Georgie kabakov the referee doing the right thing and I think he was caught by the body of the momentum from yovich after he hit that yeah Brave he's gone out and blocked it playing right wing tonight niik Williams we when we seen the lineup when we seen meam in the team we thought he might play a back five but he's not he's played with a back four but there is a real difference in the way Wales are playing without the ball as more more comes forward now there's that sort of intensity that you know you'll get from Craig Bellamy on and off the field and they were hunting impacts against turkey on Friday night in card if there's more of the same here that's what led to the opening goal and then of course before Montenegro had been able to ride the punch their two goals down yeah there's a there's a obviously a fine line between obviously overc committing yourself and giving them chances um and stealing the ball off them in their like last third you know Craig seems to know what he's doing and that's half the battle you know if you believe yourself you're right you can tell the players with confidence corner is played Short for Wales on the sne side Wilson now will pick the ball up on the corner of the penalty area squar to nio Williams right foot shot though but he was challenged by Kamar as he hit it and the ball spins away but it's briefly won back by Meen but now a long ball played forward for Montenegro Kamar on the halfway line but me does well he was outnumbered on the far side but he slides in to jab the ball out of play Chris meam on loan at Sunderland now from Bournemouth and of course they've had a great start to the season in the championship yeah I mean the message must be going on from both managers now do not play the Intensive Care pass into the middle of your own box at the back and in these conditions you've got to play to the conditions tonight well long ball played forward by rosich of abedine but it's quickly cut out and here is Wilson who scored that great second goal for Wales on the halfway line back towards Roberts and Roberts all the way back to darlo wearing all black defending the Wales goal away to our right and then Wilson is challenged but he's losted out looking for the free kick here is ytic on the edge of the penalty area but the ball just evading his grasp and it's hammered Away by meam long down field and it will be a throw into Montenegro Midway inside their own half There You Go Nigel right on Q Danny Ward rolls that ball he gets it received back to him sorry car Doo plays the ball into that middle of the middle of the pitch arry Wilson slips in the conditions gives the ball away and they nearly get a chance from it another goal has gone in Slovenia leading Kazakhstan on Benjamin shesko has got the opening goal in stoich this evening of course these are the second games of two for these sides in this International break Morgan Rogers who's also had such a good start to the season he scored the opening goal for England's under 21 side with a penalty against Austria at kennworth Road and of course we'll have the England Senior Team live on talk sport against Finland tomorrow night yeah so we got Connor Roberts metham Rhoden Ben Davis left back niik Williams is playing right wing kumas playing left wing ke Mo down the middle and then edue and Cooper in Midfield with arry Wilson floating around trying to get on the ball similar similar system to the one he played against turkey well it's working at the moment we're 25 minutes played and Wales leading by two goals to nil and here is now kumas inside the penalty area well the ball dropped to him montenegro's offside trap came out in installments and rubich in the end with a pretty desperate challenge to concede the corner I think he's a liability rubich every time the ball goes near him in fact he wasn't the player playing them up on side it was marusich yeah they they come out in at different speeds look totally disorganized but there's definitely a mistake there if I was Craig I'd be shouting onto him just get the ball into ke for Mo into the into that danger area just outside the box he'll give fouls away all night 25 minutes played in front of the big screen constructed on the scaffold behind the goal Wilson with the corner and challenging for it at the near post was Ben Davis it goes right through the 6-y area and it goes out of play on The Far Side so there must have been a moneger in touch because Roberts takes the throw in looking for Kum as of course his father had so many good moments for Wales and for many other clubs a real favorite wherever he played but at the age of 18 Lou kumas has the opportunity now to surpass what his father achieved during his career yeah he's playing on the on the left tonight I think he's better down the middle where he can run from into out I think his movement's excellent he can finish and his pedigree is good his his dad was a a great player to enjoy watching him at pron Park as a youngster I mean he's the sort of player that well should have really built their team around but for whatever reason it never happened well yeah well I was with I was with toshak when when he was in our Squad you know and Tosh liked him we all liked him um you know so we never know whether he was going to turn up sometimes but um great footballer and we're back in the efl on talk sport 2 on Friday night hollan Sheffer Wednesday is the Yorkshire derby with Hugh woen CRA Mark Wilson and Courtney Sweetman Kirk good game coming up on Saturday lunchtime as well in the championship here on two leads against Burnley that should be some game at Ellen Road Southampton Manchester United will be part of game day on talk Sport with Manchester City against brenford here on two at three and Bournemouth against Chelsea on talk sport at 8:00 all coming up this weekend here on talk Sport and talk sport 2 and there is a Sunday commentary as well Portsmouth against West brah another tasty looking game at fratton Park 3:00 on Sunday afternoon at the moment 27 minutes played in nixit and Wales leading by two goals to nil as keeper more turns he almost played in Harry Wilson on the edge of the penalty area but CIT with a very well-timed intervention otherwise Wells would have been in for a third I really like G Wilson in fact I go as far as to say he's my favorite Welsh player um I just think you know we we've all seen at our clubs players who flattered ince and and actually look the part but never do anything in the last third I think har K Harry Kane Harry Wilson does I think he's got an end product to his game he was unlucky there ke Moore nearly slid him in but he the opportunity and he makes the Run he's got a good brain Ric wide to this near side of marusic for Montenegro on their right now Kamai High cross in it's beyond ytic and it's kept in play well on the far side by christovich looking to hit the by line now the crossing though was cut out by ampadu at the near post and there was the opportunity for Williams to play it forward looking for ke frommore who claims he was been held down there by RS as he chased the ball forward but the referee not interested and Montenegro have possession back we'll be hearing from Lee Carley the interim England coach and Harry Kane the captain looking ahead to his 100th cap at halime here on talk sport two with Wales still leading here by two goals to nil a lead they established within the third minute and I cannot remember Wales scoring two goals as quickly at the start of a game well only one team can have a good start if you think about it both managers say come on Lads in the dressing room let's have a good start but only one team can have a good start and it it's been Wales now an opportunity for mosa to play a ball across the penalty area and it's gathered at the far post by kristovich and the crossing is Spill and in the end the shot is cleared off the line by Ben Davis it was mosa who fired the ball in after a scramble inside the penalty area and Davis was there to keep Wales intact well I just can't believe what I've Just Seen there I mean it's an unbelievable sale from d darlo and then a magnificent goal line clearance I think it was from metham or Ben Davis it happened that quick was like pinball in our box and we've got away with it it's a great cross across the front of the goal by mosa again Kristoff picked it up it's a deflection Connor Roberts nearly turns it in his own net comes back out car daro makes a great save from the rebound what a save that is it comes back out again and Ben Davis clears it off the line unbelievable save on the line well it's a corner now for Montenegro with half an hour play they're not out of this by any means the corner is cleared Away by ampadu at the near post now kumas will try and bring the ball clear he was having a sh P by yovich but he's done well to ride the challenge and place it forward to Harry Wilson great turn from him here is Nico Williams clean through the first touch is heavy and that allows the challenge to come in inside the penalty area from Ric when it seemed there that Wales are about to score the classic breakaway goal that's why Nico Williams is a fullback not a right winger I mean it's a tremendous break Ari Wilson makes a great run and does a cro turn first time pass to niiko the I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt because the conditions are that bad his first touch let him down he pushed it too far out of his feet allows a Defender to get back but you know from one end of the pitch to the other it's just nice to watch Wells are playing some really good football Craig belly was saying it's not about formations it's about playing shapes and at the moment going forward the shape is very good maybe defensively against a better team that have been caught out yeah I mean it's we we've got a corner Wilson plays it into the penalty area look I mean it's been massively picky when Wales are two goals up away from home considering how poor they've been away from home over the last couple of years but the conditions as well are playing their part because every time the ball goes into either penalty area it's Panic stations yeah well to explain it in layman's terms when you hear Craig saying there's a lot of information to take ball on board people are thinking what you mean by that well what he actually does he sets out a pattern of play and if the opposition play a different shape he changes the shape of wales's Midfield and if they change again he changes to this system and he changes the players around until they find an overload somewhere now if you've got good players they can do that with using the football brains the hard thing to do it is to do it with average players then don't be surprised if they make mistakes trying to do it but it's early days but the early signs are very promising yeah and and you know if you're all on the same page you got a chance if we get it wrong we all get it wrong if we get it right we all get it right we're all doing the same thing now Doo as the ball splashes up again as he clears and there was a puddle developing in car daro's penalty area away to the right hand side it's played long looking for keeper Moore who flicks the ball on but it's straight out of play and we still have 12 minutes to play in the first half Mont negro nil Wales to keeper Mo and Harry Wilson with the goals inside the opening 3 minutes but Stefan yovic has hit the bar from the halfway line and we've also seen Montenegro go close on more than one occasion apart from that Benjamin shesco has a second goal for Slovenia they lead Kazakhstan by two goals to nil Lithuania have equalized against Romania that's in League C and Austria's under 21s have equal ized at Kenworth Road against England it's 1-1 there and Randall K moani with the opening goal for France against Belgium and leyon this evening as the cross is played into the penalty area for Montenegro down the left hand side I think it took a deflection and it's claimed by car Dar well 33 minutes on the clock we've just taken a step back the first time since the kickoff Kei Amore has now sunk back into the center circle we were full pressing them full press for half an hour and Wales have got to keep doing that the conditions are that bad you can make Montenegro make mistakes at the back I would get right on top of them get the backf right up on the halfway line and say go on try and play through us but it takes effort and determination the minute you take your foot off the gas and it starts with Kei for Mo if he stops pressing the whole team will now Wilson and there's no doubt the pitch is getting worse here in terms of the amount of of water we're seeing on it the ball is not rolling as cleanly as it was in the opening stages now Davis clatters into the challenge there of yovic and gets the free kick but there was a show of water which came up then as Ben Davis hit the deck as well yeah he the pitch has just got mistakes written all over it and and and it's proved that way now ampadu good ball wide to this near sight and olle Cooper he skits in field ampadu first time ball to find ke for Mo who turns and lets fly right footed but I think as a cursory look at the pitch I think his standing leg gave way there the huge divot indeed which has been replaced by first the referee and then ketha Moore and the shot skewed high and wide yeah it's a great ball from Ethan Ido there Round the Corner into keam Mo's feet middle of the goal 30 yards out he's had a touch one thought in his mind can I get a shot in probably been told to by Craig Bellamy you know shoot on site the ball's that slippery um and he snatched at it a bit and gone miles way only Cooper with a teaser of a back pass there for car darlo bouncing through the penalty area daro does well to control and now Mo lays It Wide to The Far Side and Wilson down the Wales right and Wilson has been body checked on the far last side 36 minutes played we welcome listeners from talks for where Wales lead Montenegro by two goals to nil an incredible start ke for Mo scoring after 38 seconds and then Harry Wilson wrapping one in from long range after two and a half minutes but since then Stefan ytic has hit the crossbar from the halfway line Ben Davis has had to clear a shot off the line the rain remains incessant the pitch now has taken D Saunders so much water and you wonder what this game will be like in maybe 20 minutes or so after halim if it keeps running like this well yeah we got a new audience with us now who uh not witness what we've just witnessed it's been a great game we've had everything apart from a red card we've had everything else chip from the halfway line arry Wilson top Corner counterattacks tackles mistakes it's been a great game um Wales 2-0 up two great two great goals to start with and since then I was surprised Montenegro never chucked the tow in but they' they've kept going they've had chances as well they certainly have but having gone four games without a goal Wales scoring twice in the opening three minutes but this game surely has more goals in it as the conditions worsen 37 minutes play commentary continuing on talk sport 2 Montenegro nil Wales 2 marusic with the cross into the penalty area sliding in to make the challenge was mea and he's won it ahead of mosa and now Wales will try and break again neatly taken down by Moore Ole Cooper will run forward he slips and slides over the halfway line goes down believing he should have had a free kick but the referee not interesed no he struggled OE Cooper I mean the conditions I'm helped when you're getting balls rolled into in Midfield and it's slippery and if it's a little bit to your right or your left it's hard to change direction uh but You' got to play to the conditions Play One Touch two touch if you can the other game in this group has had another goal Victor palson is equalized for Iceland 1-1 away to Turkey as Kea Moore now has the time to turn plays It Wide to this near side looking for kumas but marusic will guide it back towards matovic also Israel nil Italy won David fratesi with the opening goal in Budapest this evening an austri have equalized away to Norway thanks to Marcel Sait once again Lovich coming forward now for Montenegro the cross in for ytic appeals for ham ball as it's blocked inside the area by Davis and I think the referee at the moment has chosen not to give a decision there is V involved here and we'll wait and see what may happen right what's the laws because this is a dink to the back post Center forward heads it back where it come from I think they're having a look at this well it's hit Ben Davis on the arm right he's got his arms down by his side is the ball going in the net and if so is the law if it stops a goal going in the net it's a penalty well we're watching a replay here on the Monitor ytic and well it's it hits the hand of Ben Davis this will be a penalty going it's going in it's going in the far corner it's it Ben he's not stuck his arm out but cuz we all penalty is not being given well that I am astonished by that because we have seen penalties given for that all over Europe at every level but dragonir dragonov the V official has clearly had a look and wave play on well we've had referees on talk Sport and they don't know the handball law so I thought the law was if the ball hit you on the arm and it's not deliberate and it was going in the net it's a penalty no matter what even if it's not deliberate and that header was going in the net so we've got away with one there unless I've got the LW on well we haveen goals given for hand balls not as blatant as that I'm not saying it was deliberate hand Ball but there's no doubt it struck him on the hand three yards out the ball was going in yeah well but if you cross in the ball from the right hand side and it it's Ben Davis on the arm it's not going in the net you know that that sometimes is not given but I thought if the ball if it stops a goal going in the net and even if it's it is a penalty it's a penalty anyway we move on 4 and a half minutes to play in the first half ytic almost threads the eye of the needle again to find mosa but the ball is claimed by carallo not quite the quickest goal of all time for Wales this evening they scored against aaban after 15 seconds back in 2003 but certainly up there but there's a problem here for Connor Roberts looks to be a shoulder problem uh I think he's popped his shoulder out I mean he's punched the floor there as if to say it's popped out I know it's popped out he's had problems in the past with his shoulder I think it was in the World Cup Nigel you remember when he had a bad shoulder in the World Cup yeah I think it's popped um he's down on one knee right now we can always move nickel Williams there well showing the highlights of of the first goal it's Calamity defending for Montenegro can't clear the ball it bounces to keep him all takes it well arry Wilson's goal tremendous but since then wales's oldest debutant K Doo at the age of 33 has seen stepan ytic hit the crossbar from the halfway line with doo understandably nowhere but at the moment Wales do lead by two goals to nil and maybe Fortune has favored them now and again as well I'm going to make a brave statement here I think think Harry Wilson's goal will be in the top 10 goals ever scored by a Welsh football team when you see it again he's cut across it with his left foot in horrendous conditions and it's gone right in the top corner it's started outside the post it's a fantastic strike interesting change about to be made of course Conor Roberts will be going off Brennan Johnson is coming on I suppose niik Williams as you say will will go back and brenon Johnson will come on on the right of Midfield and he is a player of course who is a premier league regular at a big Club Tottenham but I think every Wales fan would admit but yet to see his best for for his country I agree with that and you know he looks as if it could click at any moment he struggled with Wales but I actually think he's better when he comes off the bench I wouldn't be surprised if he causes absolute Havoc coming on and you won't want to play against him now in the in these conditions he runs across the top of the grass Nimble quick well he has three goals and this is his 30th game yeah you you hope as he gets older a bit like Raheem Sterling he got a bit more clinical as he got older but he's only 23 so time is on his side yeah now Kamai down the right hand side for Monro good cross into the penalty area and an excellent defensive clearance at the near post diving into to head the ball away from Williams and now Wales will try and break and it's Lewis kumas on the Move marusic looking to hold him up on this near side they both overrun the ball in these conditions and then kumas is absolutely taken out by berovic and it's a free kick for Wales and kumas there was swept off his feet berovic what are you doing I mean arry Wilson again puts the ball inside the fullback for a race for kumas he struggles to get away from the from the right back and he ends up stopping turning back towards his own goal and as he turns back rovic it's like a ridiculous challenge he's given a free kick away now in a dangerous area it's got to be a yellow card that surely Nigel kumas is at times finding it difficult to get in the game because that's understandable but when he gets on the ball he he's not gliding like his dad did tonight because you can't Glide in these conditions but he's got the goods to be a real threat he's better in the middle of the pitch because he runs from in to out he makes runs down the channels he's and his movement's great Wilson with the free kick in towards the near post headed away though and then yovic will find Kami but good covering there from ampadu and he plays it back deep into his own half and K Doo sensibly not waiting on the ball he comes out to meet it about 30 yards from his goal to avoid the back pass sticking in the water here now rhen wide to this near side and Ben Davis will bring it forward now and the will be just a single minute of added time at the end of the first half now Johnson infield again Williams will play it forward towards Johnson but it's guided back by vukovich towards matovic and the goalkeeper clears but again Bron Johnson they had the opportunity to take on the fullback and he came back inside and with seen that on so many occasions I don't understand that he gets the Bendis pings the ball out to him his first thoughts to turn back now Kamai with a curling shot which snakes through the penalty area left footed and goes wide of Caro's far post you know he's sitting at 2-n and we're not comfortable you know if they get a goal back now it will be game on proper but they're still in this game and we've got to make sure that we don't sink back and let them come at us but that is halim and Wales do lead by two goals to nil looking for only their second away victory in 10 games and Wales will not have had a better start in their long International history ke for Mo scoring after 38 seconds the first goal of the Bellamy era sweeping the ball home after Montenegro failed to clear a ball on the edge into the box then Harry Wilson striking in an absolute Beauty from 25 yds a Welsh goal to remember that was after 2 and A2 minutes Wales two goals up but since then Montenegro have had the best opportunities yovic hitting the cross far from the halfway line with car dolo watching the ball sail over his head Ben Davis has also had to clear a shot off the line after a scramble inside the penalty area it's 2 N so that's great Dee but there's work to do yeah and and the message to the players now is Right Lads win from a winning position the rules change slightly we're 2-0 up the conditions are terrible there's certain things we avoid you know be professional about it can we turn 45 minutes into half an hour by taking our time running the clock down just using your football brain and and and managing the game so that was good we had a good start I can't help thinking the you know the the the Applause for the young keeper passing away didn't have an effect at the start of the game and we took advantage of it but har Wilson's been I think har Wilson's been outstanding for 45 minutes everything he's done has been class and the fact the conditions are so bad makes it maybe difficult to to judge the performance but considering what we've seen over the last few years working together on talk Sport and talk sport 2 Wales do look better oh he definitely a lot better and and like I said you know in the first half as a coach or manager if you don't believe what you're saying is correct it's hard to convince a group of footballers that what you're telling telling them is the way forward Craig actually believes this is the way to play even if he's wrong he'll get the players beli in it because he believes it himself so um for him to get a couple of goals quickly like that it just reinforces his message um and and they're playing well obviously you know they've had chances which we wouldn't have uh liked them to have but I think after of that's the conditions and looking at the bench of course there is some strength and depth there you've got Mark Harris who has four and four in the championship you've got Aaron Ramsey who of course can bring so much to this Welsh team maybe not on a pitch like this this evening but he's somebody in reserve as well and maybe some like Ruben cwell there is the opportunity if Wales can put this game to bed to give players the opportunity to play on a night like tonight in a winning Welsh team yeah I mean I always found in the middle and Midfield in weather like this where the ball's sticking in the water and it's it's a scrap more or less it's a scrap for second balls there's balls squirting around in Midfield you know that's why there's horses that run out in the Grand National entry in the heavy going and the flat hes the sprinters run on the on the firm going so you need players out there who've got a bit of power a bit of strength in the middle of the pitch who can actually barge people over and get the ball that way and then up the front your sprinters can come to life but I thought olle struggled a little bit Ole Cooper there first half this is uh you know his first start is it his first well it's not his first start is it first I think he started a couple of friendlies but um you know you got Aaron Ramsey there would does he want to come on in this pitch he just played a game two days ago do you want to be part of a Welsh team winning away from home that's not happened too too often in recent times no he's just strugg he started last season like this though Aaron he started great for Cardiff and then got injured and took ages to get back so he'll have that in the back of his mind you know I've just played don't want to play another 90 minutes after that tough game against turkey so um I mean we just seen replays of Ary Wilson's goal it's an unbelievable strike he's it right across it it swerved about three yards in the air um I thought he's been outstanding I thought ampadu's done his job um Connor Roberts has obviously gone off with a with a shoulder injury now Nik Williams has gone to right back Brennan Johnson good sub to bring on but bit of concerned like you said in the commentary ball gets pinged out to him by Deb bendy as he's got the fullback 1 V one I mean the fullback must have been delighted when he turned back Brennan Johnson running you at full belt I'm sure I'm not the first person to tell him first thought One V one get at the fullback commit him let him bring you down get to the B land get crosses in anybody can turn back we will see what Brenan Johnson and the rest of the Wales team do in the second half thanks to Dean Saunders more from him coming up in the second half but at the moment it is going well for craigg Bellamy with Wales leading Montenegro by two goals to nil he is 45 minutes away from his first Victory as Wales coach and coming up after the break we'll be looking ahead to England's game tomorrow against Finland and we'll hear from the interim coach Lee Carley and the man making his 100th appearance the captain Harry Kane this is Nations League live on talk sport 2 coverage of the talk sport 2 pushing the Apex of Life football oh there's the header it in captivating coverage the Nations League live on talk sport 2 the first away match for Craig Bellamy as the Wales coach and it's live on talk sport 2 spins High into the penalty area almost gathered by Wilson it ricochets the ball and keeper Mora scored 38 seconds played and it's the big man who comes up with the opening goal of the Greg bamer finding Williams again who's playing on the right hand side of Midfield this evening back towards Wilson who hits it oh what a goal from Harry Wilson and Wales are two goals up within 2 and A2 minutes and Harry Wilson hit that from miles out and he just has a touch and hits right across it slices it and the ball goes right inside the top Corner what a goal but now yic will strike it incredibly from inside his own half after Wales gave the ball away and it's come off the crossb this has been a hell of a game so far absolutely Wales leading by two goals to nil we've got the hold of the second half coming up on talk sport two in a few minutes time tomorrow evening on talk sport we'll bring you England's Nations League match up against Finland at Wembley and ahead of the game talk sports England correspondent Faker others has been talking to the Three Lions interim Boss Lee Carley about the fa's expectations it was to oversee the um the Nations League qualifiers so with three camps um that could change that could changed um you know I'm not um I'm not precious enough to think it's about me it's it's about getting the best person for the job um it's it's important that I I keep um I keep the ship almost pointing in the right direction and um you know and do a good job while I'm while I'm here for as long as that's needed so uh I'm I'm I'm confident and and and um relaxed enough about the situation you know the priority has always got to be the players being putting them in a position where where we're being really competitive and yeah as long as that is that's how long it'll be and to some it's just semantics manager head coach but they're different roles aren't they so how do you see this and is you as a so-called trackit manager head coach someone who gets fully involved in in in training how does that translate for England because it's not something we've seen for a very long time yeah but I think I think in in coaching now management managing head coach I think there's an evolution that you've seen within players and positions um I think we've got a lot more Specialists now within football people that that are um that are a lot more qualified and better at talking about different things than I am you know coaching is is my um my passion um it's what I think I'm quite good at um so you know I I think the the um the benefits of that are you know that that John mcder has put me in a position where I can I can do what I'm good at rather than what I'm not good at and and hopefully um you know I don't let anyone down that's maybe you saying that you know you're not as comfortable doing maybe the media stuff and which is always such an important role for for England my my final kind of question is do you see the Off Pitch stuff as something that might hinder your chances of getting the job full-time or you know that you're showing that that you're able to handle it I think it's definitely something that I can handle I think it's you know you know the England manager obviously got and head coach has got that responsibility you know I think where where my my opinion is is is most valued is is around football and and how I see football and uh you know the English game and not all not not just the um the senior team but the pathway um you know the amount of time now that I've worked for for englanders you know I've seen four or five um different generations of of players now that are coming through in different age groups so you know that's that's my strength well that's Lee Carley looking ahead to the game tomorrow night and talking about what's happening with him as the interim coach of course Harry Kane will earn his 100th cap against Finland and he's been reflecting on the achievement with f yeah probably the last couple days even more so obviously I weren't sure if I was definitely going to play both games um but now I know I am I think you know it is a really big achievement I think sometimes even me when you're in it and you just you know you're thinking about the next game you're thinking about the win you kind of get you maybe forget how you know big these things are and uh you know I've been reminded by a couple of the staff here how big of an achievement it is and uh yeah I think it's important to celebrate you know to have my family to have my kids there and uh even if it's not definit like only tomorrow I think looking back at you know those pictures or those memories are really special for for them as well so uh it should be a good celebration but with all this there is a game to be played as well so that's where my main focus is and yeah I think if we win uh then yeah after the game I can really you know have a good uh a good celebration with my family and friends what do you remember about that first cap against Lithuania back in 2015 yeah I still remember it like it was yesterday I mean it was one of my best moments one of my proudest moments in an England shirt uh I remember waiting for rages to come on the pitch because the ball didn't go out forever and uh yeah come on for Wayne Uh obviously a big Idol of mine and then uh Wembley got a great reception at Wembley um and then yeah before I know it had a couple touches and then I was heading one in at the back back post and just celebrating and all those emotions coming out and uh that was just a really special night just just to be at Wembley and have my family there and almost just as you dreamed it coming off the bench with one of your your Idols at home at Wembley scoring a couple minutes later it was almost like a a film strip I remember that great start for Harry Kane and of course he's achieved so much since as the England number nine and you can hear that game tomorrow night England against Finland from the Nations league with Adrien Darren Jim proudfoot Stuart Pierce and Faker others live from Wembley and a reminder if you missed the efl all access with Hugh Wen cof and the Barnsley player coach kah Harahan earlier this evening on talk sport 2 it's available as a podcast which you can download from your goto podcast provider and it's also available to find on The Talk sport app just search efl all access to find it Wales have made another change at the start of the second half and it's sber Thomas who has come on we'll get confirmation of who has gone off shortly of course we've already seen Brennan Johnson come on and it's Lewis kumas who has gone off so Dean Saunders what's your view of that um well because Craig's gone through everything and you know it a bit a bit like Jack G is playing for Man City he's been told to stay on the left hand side you're not playing for Asen Villa now you do the you do what we tell you to do and you Hold Your Position Craig's gone through that with the players so they kumas has stayed on the left he's held his position he's done what he's been asked to do sober Thomas knows exactly what to do now it's the same thing as he done against turkey uh fresh legs on there the pitch is heavy this reminds me of one we used to play years ago before there was perfect Bowling Greens pitches well it's certainly not tonight in nixit which is a city known as the part of the monegan mix martial arts achiev the fireworks going off and they've pulled the yellow and red ribbons right across the length of the pitch so yeah there's a huge yellow and red Cho on the far side which stretches 20 yds either side of the halfway line there are fireworks outside the stadium as ytic flicks on for Montenegro but it's headed Away by rhon on the far side turkey one Iceland won the halftime score also in this group France leading Belgium by a goal to n in arguably the biggest game of the night and it's also 1-1 at halim between England and the 21s and their Austrian counterparts with Israel also leading Italy the rain still teaming down as Montenegro in all red with yellow trim face this Wales team defending the goal away to our left with the Primrose yellow and green trim the awake kit going back to the really traditional Welsh colors as the high ball into the penalty yic was winding up for the big bicycle kick there but he catches Nico Williams on the side of the head but it was accidental as an apology and no problem for Williams yeah I think Craig will be pleased with the start we've had we you know we've scored a couple of good goals I don't think he'll be pleased about I think they could have scored four or five they've had chances I don't think he'd be pleased about that here is ytic clipped into the penalty looking for Kamai but it's cleared Away by Rhoden who was just caught there by magusa I'll give you a reminder of the two teams again in a second 47 minutes played Wales still leading by two goals to nil two goals in the opening 3 minutes by this stage in the first half they were already two up but it's been a bit more sedate at the start of the second half as yovic comes forward now a high diagonal Ball but it's judged well by Ben Davis at the far post and Brennan Johnson who came on just before halftime for the injured Conor Roberts he'll clear the ball down the line but berovic will gather for the home side so the Wales team is darlo in goal the back four is now Williams meam Rhoden and Davis we've got Johnson on the right Thomas on the left with ampadu and Cooper in the Middle with Wilson uh Wilson a mo leading the attack as it's played forward wide to this near side for Montenegro Ethan ampadu also picked up a yellow card in the first half as well and now cpich slip forward towards the edge of the penalty area Wales will try and clear but here is ytic who has been the Class Act really for Montenegro just knitting things together wearing number 10 and playing as the classic balans number 10 as ni Williams looks for a quick throw in on the near side berovic was involved and then he crumples to the turf and Nico Williams has been booked and I think berovic has bought that yeah I mean n Williams just tried to push it past him down the right wing and tried to outpace him and he slid under him and uh he's trying obviously trying to get him booked I don't know why he's T he's taking the throw quick though niik Williams what what don't rush you know we're two nil up slow the game down well berovic has also been booked but his role in that in preventing the restart he should have been booked in the first half outrageous tack tack on K he got away with that I don't know how Williams and berovic both booked there and really berovic was in the wrong and then well that's outrageous from berovic looking at the replay he was spun around the waist by Williams and he went down clutching his face remember the days where you didn't show The Defender he'd hurt you you'd never go on the floor squealing rolling round wouldn't give him the satisfaction of thinking they'd hurt him well well the fact is there went down and he wasn't hurt but there we are 5 minutes played in the second half Montenegro nil Wales to matovich and goal for Montenegro marisic rubic cic and vukovich the back four berovic and yovich in Midfield with Kamar yic and christovich behind mosa in attack and Robert preni has not made any changes at halime although a number of players were warming up fairly vigorously in the rain as yovich plays It Wide to this near side looking for vvi away from Williams initially but Williams comes back makes the challenge and I think something was left on him there by vvi because Williams has gone down clutching his ankle as he concedes the corner kick yeah he's got a nasty one on the ankle he's actually gone back to right back and defended really well three times he's got he's gotten cleared one across the face of the goal he's cut a pass through ball out and and one V one one there he's defended brilliantly he's really quick but he's got a nasty one on the ankle run it off get up and run it off well Chris meam has been told to take off a gold chain which is around his neck and he's currently fiddling with that with Shan Connelly the Wales physio on the near side eventually manages to undo the clasp but now he's off the field and Wales will have to defend with 10 players as a result of the jewelry I know [Music] but it's a corner kick after all of that for Montenegro 6 minutes into the second half Wales leading by two goals to nil the corner is played short towards the edge of the penalty area vvi looks to thread the ball through but it's blocked by ampadu and ampadu now will bring the ball out with sber Thomas in support ampadu I think was looking for the free kick there he was looking for the contact and in the end he went down when he felt it but the referee not giving the free kick now it's obviously a game plan they' played a short Corner Montenegro and uh the ball's gone into legs Ari Wilson's blocked it and they four or five of them breaking from the edge of their own box Ed's Running With The Ball thought he should have gone to the left to sober Thomas he he was looking to his right for Ari Wilson to catch him up and he ends up getting caught with the ball Morgan Rogers with a second for England's under 21 they now lead Austria 2-1 at kennworth Road this evening and Wales still leading here by two goals to nil 7 minutes into the second half fair play to the montenegrin fans on the far side who are absolutely drenched they're still making the noise and getting behind their team there's christovich comes forward now down the left the high cross in though is headed Away by rhen and he now plays it into the path of Wilson Wilson with another elusive run forward but he just overruns the ball in the water and berovic comes back to slide in and win it back for Montenegro yeah it's we're just encouraging them that's four times in a minute we've give the ball away cheaply and now Moser inside the penalty area he was forced wide by rhen and I think the shot took a deflection off the leads Defender and it will be a corner kick for Montenegro again yeah it just it just makes it gives them a bit of confidence and they start building a bit of momentum no matter what football you play you can't give the ball away cheaply especially International level when you look at Man City the best team in the league the best players don't give the ball away that's four times in a minute cheaply sober Thomas IDW arry Wilson twice Corner fisted into the near post headed away though by Kea Mo who Stoops to complete the job now yovic down the right Harry Wilson will track the run and concede another corner for Montenegro who are enjoying some decent pressure at the start of the second half with Wales leading by two goals to n this is where you sit there as a manager they've just had three corners on the bounce and you're looking at your center backs head the ball away well in the end it was a dreadful corner from yovich into the near post hammered Away by Ben Davis but a throw in to the home side yovic again has marusic in support now it's back towards the edge of the penalty area but the high cross in from vvi is controlled at the far post by nicoo Williams with his clearance down the line he was looking for the Run further forward of Brennan Johnson but kamay just cutting it out but Wales do have the throw Robert proi under the montenegrin baseball cap is a bit more animated at the start of the second half than he was at the start of the first he had a long spell as one of the assistant coaches when Croatia were enjoying their Golden Era he's also been in charge of Bosnia and aaban without a huge degree of success I mean Brennan Johnson for me I think he's the most talented player on the pitch but he comes on the pitch and he looks like he has no self-belief at times I i' be saying to him get out there and show everybody in the world how good you are you the best player I mean the arrogance of Gareth Bale cuz he knew he was good he's just saying give me the ball leave it to me give me the ball he looks like he's quite happy just to keep the ball and turn back and not show everybody look what I've got in the in the locker doesn't matter if you lose it last third get up people well he's wearing Bale's number 11 shirt now which is a vote of confidence oh good luck with that I mean he's the best player that's ever played for us hard act to follow lvi plays it down the line for Montenegro 55 minutes played on talk sport 2 Wales still two up but Montenegro have been the better side since halftime turkey now lead Iceland 2-1 in this group car matola with his second in ismir so if it stays like that Wales and turkey will have four points each at the end of the first two rounds as ytic plays It Wide to this near side vvi with the cross in and of course that assumes that Wales finish the job here and now Kea Mo picks up a loose ball he can drive forward Harry Wilson in support again Mo goes down and he was caught there by marusic and it's another yellow card this time for the Lazio Defender I think you tried to do a professional P ke for Mo's breaking up the pitch Ari Wilson's running to his right but lacks the pace to actually be able to put be put clean through and marusa just professional fouls him really it was no need and if you've just joined us on talk sport 2 ke for Mo scoring the first goal in the opening minute quickly followed by a second from Harry Wilson from way outside the penalty area with the outside of his left foot that's a goal that Wales fans will be enjoying all the way back to wherever they live either North or South Wales or somewhere in between as S Thomas is pushed over on this near Side by vvi Wales take a quick free kick and here is Brenan Johnson now with the opportunity to attack he comes in field and he fires in the shot pmed away by movich now S Thomas now with a low ball in which is deflected Nico Williams hits it right fet and it's someway wide but Brennan Johnson there he did come inside again but this time he worked the keeper yeah positive you know whether you go inside and shoot or whether you go outside the fullback just be positive and he he struck that too good the Keeper's more or less it's more less stood in the middle of his goal it's more or less hit him um and then it comes back out to sober Thomas he cuts it back Nico Williams has got a chance to Rifle one from the edge of the Box drags It Wide with the old scuff remember that one n I've done plenty of those I done one come off people have seen your career at I'll be counting I know now christovich coming forward now on this near side 58 minutes play ytic has been caught by Cooper on the edge of the penalty area and it will be a free kick here for Montenegro left of center about 20 yards out and throughout the game I think Ole Cooper has been one of the players who has found it difficult to get to grips with the occasion yeah I was thinking half time you know you try and put yourself in Craig is shoes I would have said to him half time he's obviously he's struggling and he right just keep it simple play forward when you get it make sure you find a yellow shirt Hold Your Position don't give fouls away stay on your feet and gradually work your way back into the game before you start trying difficult passes try and complete four passes before you try a difficult one he's given a foul away now right on the edge of our box I I just get the feeling now we're like Sitting Ducks we've lost the momentum and we're giving them a chance to get back in the game if they score a goal now we've got our hands full in this game ytic over the free kick and he'll Cur his right footed low into the wall which leaps and blocks and now it's wide to this near sight and ytic again he arcs across in and the header is wide for mosa free header in between the two Central Defenders ERS and he Ruffles his SN hair because he knows that was a great chance and Wales are making a change and it's Ole Cooper who comes off and Jordan James comes off yeah well Jordan James has got a bit of power it's not happen for OE tonight he's just got to keep his chin up you know it's his first game he's probably nervous Jordan James is a bit stronger more powerful will stand in the middle of the pitch and use his athleticism to get us back in this game we we've we've taken the step out of the game since halftime and we're encouraging Montenegro to get back in it we've got we've either got to keep the ball and stop him getting the ball or we've got to turn him round that's a free header in the box there I mean Chris Mam's got done the ball's just floated over his head well Jordan James now with Ren in the French first division having moved on from Birmingham after their relegation still only 20 years of age here is Harry Wilson who tries to replicate his goal from the first half on the edge of the penalty area but it gets it all wrong it skews off the outside of his left foot someway wide yeah he's let he's let it run past him they brilliantly let the ball run on the edge of their box he's let it run onto his left foot slice the strike but it's Harry Wilson again having an effort at goal that's what I like about him England Finland tomorrow night on talk sport also in league b of the Nations league with Adrien Duren Jim proudfoot and Stuart pierce with Faker others with all the reaction post match as Montenegro have given the ball away and here is Harry Wilson coming forward but he just Mis controls at The crucial moment there with Keith for Mo waiting on the edge of the penalty area and it scrambled away and Wales eventually have a throw in well it's rubich again I talked about him first half he's got stti around the corner and he's just passed a square pass to his Center back partner too short har Wilson's nipped in messed it up he was clean through here is S Thomas now finding Jordan James his yellow shirt still pristine having just come on Harry Wilson inside the penalty area down the right back towards Thomas again Williams makes the Run forward with the cross drifted High to the far post ampadu will return the ball back into the penalty area vuvi will eventually clear but here is meam again but he clatters his ball forward into ytic and it will be a throw in to Wales on this near side 62 minutes play and we're back in the championship on talk sport 2 on Friday with hollan Sheffield Wednesday leads against Burnley on Saturday at 12:30 and we've also got Manchester City against brenford at three and over on talk sport Southampton Manchester United at 12 12 game day with rman chowri and Bournemouth against Chelsea also coming up Saturday night at 8:00 after Game Day live with Adrien Durham and then on Sunday we also have a championship commentary pompy against West Brom and that's at 3:00 62 minutes played here Wales still leading 2-n Williams with a throw in towards the penalty area aadu controls it volleys the ball in almost finds ke for Mo who lunges in six yards out but he can't make contact and it spins behind for a goal kick he's got a score I mean niik Williams takes a long throw the shortest long throw in the world by the way you don't know if he's he's hardly reached their box he's got headed out we we fied it back in and he's got in between two center backs seven yards out I think he took his eye off the ball he's completely missed it that's three n though game over you just wonder if Wales have weathered the storm here in terms of the moneger and pressure if not the weather they haven't got enough to do us have they Nigel you look at them the quality in front the goal headers strikes at goal they haven't got enough to take advantage of the mistakes Wales have another opportunity here with a low ball in from sver Thomas on the right but it's blocked now ampadu wins it back though because ytic basically ran into him there's the opportunity now for Wales to try and build again there were more goals in this I think if Montenegro begin to get weary but now they win it back because Wells are given the ball away here is ytic now coming in field from the left Scoops it in towards the edge of the penalty area and it's cleared away downfield again once again you know we give them a chance to break on us and their lack of quality on the final pass the final finish it's just glaring obvious that's why they're struggling the ring continues to team down but we've got to 65 minutes and the pitch has held up pretty well In fairness I mean it's cut up but any pitch will cut up in the face of these elements as sber Thomas tries to bring It Forward on this near side but he just runs out of room sober I I I don't want to be over critical he's come on at half but just before half he come on up just before time he come on he's not keeping the ball keeps giving the ball [Applause] away now yovic on the halfway line plays it high from left to right to find marusic marusich looks to work the angle with Kamai but it's gathered by Brandon Johnson Wales will be able to clear again ampadu plays an excellent ball forward and now the space for Jordan James to get forward down the Wales left he's got Kea Moore and Harry Wilson in field but he slips it forward towards ampadu ampadu can see the picture here and it's Harry Wilson on the edge of the penalty area and now it's played wide and ke for Mo slides it over an open goal it was brilliant football then Davis with the cross to find him and the goal was gaping for keth for Mo but he sent the ball skywards wait let you see this one I mean I I can't believe he's missed it Ben Davis arry Wilson slid him in Ben Davis could have shot and he's just gone across the six-yard box go tap that in ke frommore slid in how he's got it over the bar from there I don't know he's slid in stretching a little bit he's three yards out and manages somehow to lift it over the bar James MC has made it 3-1 to England's under 21's against Austria Mo Keen with a second for Italy away to Israel and Usman denile with a second for France at home to Belgium and Benjamin shesko has scored the third for Slovenia they lead Kazakhstan by three goals to nil and he's got all of them but Keith for Mo well scored the opening goal here tonight but he'd be rewinding that one on the flight home and it could have been a very painful one for him because he almost wrapped himself around the goal post in a very painful f fashion as he sliding well as a striker myself I've been there and I've done that you know he's sliding he's stretching and you can't you know takes a bble itchy shin and goes over the Barrow wide and you think how have I missed that so I'm not being hyper critical of him I know it happens that quick that you can't even think about it but how he's got that over the bar from three yards it was harder to miss but they build up was excellent yeah we we we broke out lovely and James has made a difference since he's come on athletic Ben Davis goes and joins him in and we are you it is noticeable that when we win the ball back off the opposition we go forward in numbers well it's noticeable how many efforts on goal Aaron Ramsey had on Friday of course none of them went in but so often we've seen Ramsey barely get near the penalty area at times in recent years but not on Friday evening as Kamai with the Crossing is deflected behind off Davis and it will be a corner 68 minutes played here on talk sport 2 Wells still lead by two goals to nil and they are inching towards their first Victory now under CG bamy it's another corner and it's another chance for Montenegro to Nick aolan we should have put this game to bed but we're wide open again the corner headed Away by ke for Mo yovich fires it back in through the crowd hits the inside of the post it's loose and it's put over an open goal by christovich at the other end this time well he was offside so the flag spares his blushes but Wales there saved by the post I mean what a strike from dubovich he's 25 yards out and he's whipped it his right foot he's whipped it into the car daro's right hand is H the inside of the post gone across the face of the goal I don't know who's offside I think might have even took a deflection linesman's give him offside but another close shape for us couple of changes made by przeni Marco bovich who plays for carag in aaban one of the veteran Strikers has come on his 55th appearance and Preston North ends bulletin osmic has also come on as well three goals for him so far this season all against harri in the efl cup veric is one of the players who has gone off and mosa is the other I'm a bit surprised he's took mosa off he's been at the heart of every chance they've had he's made he's laid a couple on a plate for him I'm a bit surprised he's gone off I'm pleased he's gone off well osich will be someone who one or two of the Wales players will be familiar with having played in the championship we're just watching on on the monitor the shot again from yovich and it was cic who was offside when he put the ball over the top it wouldn't have counted anyway but certainly the first shot would have done he's just come Runners up in the glaring Miss competition now Nico Williams coming forward down the right but he's challenged on the edge of the penalty area by zsic but here is ytic now on the halfway line for Montenegro inside the final 20 minutes if they score now it is game on christovich looking to come in field again and now it's wide towards vvi Wales here are packing the penalty area the cross in finding ytic and the low stooping header is turned aside by darlo excellent save great save horrendous defending again I mean the they they've set the ball back to the right back he's wrapped his foot around it four Defenders stood on the heels not expecting it jvic has been their best player and he's on the end of the Cross he's a free agent you you pick him up wouldn't you if you uh certain level yeah was is he 34 he's had his day all depends his salary got to be in the right team he's playing at number 10 for these and he looks Head and Shoulders above all of them and that was a diving header Alo if it carries on like this he's going to be have to be I'm saying nothing I'm jumping his 20 minutes to go he's done well so far well clearly there is if not a vacancy there Craig Bellamy has an open mind as Brennan Johnson chases down the left hand side again now but the ball was overhit and it's gathered by movich again I got to bring it up again Brennan Johnson he's playing for Spurs in front of thousands of people every week and showing bits of class and he's come on tonight grab the game by the Scruff of the neck come on he's letting the game just drift by now vesovic with a long ball forward and christovich will chase and he's got there and this time it's tapped in by Kamai and Montenegro are back in the game and that goal's been coming for some time Wales caught out on the Counterattack and with 18 minutes to play it could be a very nervy finish Montenegro W Wales to yeah the best way to describe it backfall like a SI we've ELD a high line there's not enough pressure on the ball two Center offs are tried to step up great ball across the face I mean it's a tapping in the end it's a bit like hea Mo when Ben Davis laid him in jtic squares it and it's a simple tapping but we're trying to hold a high line there a bit like Spurs are trying to do you can only do that when there's pressure on the ball otherwise good players make good runs and players on the ball will find them and we got caught out and it's coming you're right it's been coming for a while we're like sit in ducks and now we' got 20 minutes we've missed chances the other end Kea Mo's missed the chance a sitter it would have been 3-0 so Craig get your buck out have a look in your book and see what it says about this how to hang on with 25 minutes to go two more changes made by breni in the aftermath of that goal Marco vuvi has come on he plays his football in Bosnia and novika aravich of omoa in Cyprus has also replaced Stefan ytic Buton Kami scoring only his second International goal plays in the Hungarian second division there was a v check there for offside I think for the first ball forward towards christovich but he looked onside and the goals been given yeah jotic has like showed his class there he could have short he squared it Kamai is in the right place at the right time simple tapping that high line again now C Bellamy May learn one or two things about his team holding on 2-1 away from home with 15 minutes to play n are we better with the back fight how long have we been watching Wales if your two center backs can't play at this level against the best players in the world world you have to play with three that's why I've been taught that's what I've learned from different managers if you don't think you're to center backs can play against the best players in the world and not concede goals you're going to have to play with three and protect them well we've just seen the graphic which shows that christovich was on side but wales's line was a very wavy defensive line which gave him the opportunity now yovic going forward again now on this near side 14 minutes to play on T sport two Montenegro one Wales two yovich with an excellent ball wide towards the far side bovich with the early cross into the penalty area it'll come all the way through towards Kamai onto the right foot but he balloons the shot High Over the Top Bar deflection it's a corner well we're on the ropes good block from Nichol Williams you can see he's playing every week by the way Nichol Williams you look sharp he's defended really well but uh another cross across the face and another corner and this is where mea rhen look at the ball pick the flight up and head it out of our box risto radunovic has now come on to replace Andrea vvi radunovic plays for sta Bucharest in Romania another corner for Montenegro and it's an outswinger high to the far post darlo comes and gets nowhere near near it ampadu has gone down clutching his face and as a result play will be [Music] halty well he needs to stay down for a minute and Craig needs to call him over and give him another plan because it stems from ball retention if you keep losing the ball as cheaply as we did we we did earlier on in about a minute we give it away four times they create momentum they start getting free kick some Corners they start getting shots they get a bit of belief the crowd get up and all of a sudden they think they're a good team watching the replay of that corner darlo came for the ball he slipped and the header came in from rubich and it struck ampadu in the face and I think had it not hit him it would have gone in so that's an escape wild yeah I mean I can't believe it now just still chucking it down well the rain has not stopped all day in Montenegro but at the moment we set up for a good finish here with Wales leading 2-1 cig Bellamy will be interested to see how his team work with various different scenarios and they've got something here having made the perfect start two goals up in two and a half minutes at that stage you thought it was going to be four or five but now they would settle for 2-1 yeah I thought it was jovic who who squared it but it was kovich um great ball from him you know he's he's he's a goal scorer himself and it's hard to to not shoot in that position but he's done the right thing squared it um they're back in the game and it and and now you've got to be thinking as the boss I look at Brandon Johnson and saber Thomas have they made us better not really no you know they're not carrying the ball up the length of the pitch for us they're not they're not keeping it when they get it disappoined Jord James has made an impact well preni now is out on the edge of his technical area and he's giving his team the G up here they will believe there is still something in this for them with 11 minutes to play Thomas now chasing a long ball forward into the penalty area but it is guided behind In The End by radunovic and it will be a goal kick this is a game that Wales looked to be cruising at times in the first half but we are seeing changes now and Aaron Ramsey is coming on along with Mark Harris who is the form Striker four goals in four games in the championship for Oxford he's replacing ke for more who scored the opening goal here Harris comes on and Aaron Ramsey will also replace Harry Wilson so the two goal scor is going off yeah I'm surprised Mark Harris didn't come on and I'm surprised he never started tonight really uh he is on fire he's a goal scorer we hadn't scored for four games but when you go two N I think Craig's right for his his decision making that he's made but um I'm pleased to see him come on won't be surprised if he scores 10 minutes to play Montenegro 1 Wales 2 in the Nations league on talk sport 2 another cross into the Wales area is cleared at the near post but there is only one team at the moment now who is pushing on looking to create opportunities erakovic High into the penalty area kamay who scored the goal looks to get around the back he delivers the cross here then it's swept away at the near post by me I just feel the middle defense is not right we need to stick another player in there so we've got three Center offs in there they're getting too much room in the Box too many fre headers vesovic now vvi good ball into the penalty area but it's cleared away AR rakovic wins it back though but Rodan is there to clear but it will come straight back vesovic but now ampadu will win it for Wales and he plays it wide to this near side and Thomas Thomas has three red shirts around him and in the end he goes down and he bites his time and gets the free kick yeah well done he's you know we broke out sort of broke out and Ethan ampadu got stopped in his tracks turns to his right gives it to sber Thomas's feet he's goes back to goal he realizes his three men round him and he cleverly sucks a foul out with the fullback gives us a breather John fellows has given England a fourth goal against Austria in the under 21 game at Luton it's now 41 8 and a half minutes to play here on talk sport 2 Wales lead 2-1 Mark Harris now leading the line with Aaron Ramsey Jordan James and brenon Johnson behind him played forward long downfield by radunovic but here is Ramsey for Wales Square to James Johnson calling for the ball wide on the left but the pass never finds him It's Quickly cut out by vvi now down the line for yovic who hit the post before the goal now yovic with the throw in into aravich aravich turns turns into trouble though and Ramsey now can bring the ball away for Wales he's got three yellow shirts in support wide to the far side but he can't pick out any of them and it's straight out of [Music] play now vuvi will take the throw in 7 and a half minutes to play Wales hanging on here leading 21 looking for their first victory in the UEFA Nations league as it's played forward towards osmic and Preston forward's done well but in the end Thomas comes in to win it back and here is Ramsey and he encourages Bren and Johnson to get forward now Johnson down the left hand side three in the middle he delivers the First Time Crossing but it's blocked by rubich but way do have a throw in by the quarter flag on the far side they left well we had three players in the box there against two Brennan Johnson's out on the left he's got it outside his left foot fullbacks not really going to be able to stop the cross if he gets it right hits the fullback wasted opportunity if he gets the ball across the fullback we've got a TA in now Davis on the far side goes down under pressure from osich the ball goes out of play and in the end there's words there between Davis and Os Mar and the referee will call them both in and it will be a throw in on the far side but the Bulgarian referee has taken No Nonsense earling Holland has scored for Norway they lead Austria 2-1 in the Nations League we could all do with him absolutely I'm sure with Ard and Harland Norway will be looking at this expanded world cup with uh a degree of Interest so too should Wales of course they'll have more games more time on the training field with Craig Bellamy these are very early days the point Sorry n sorry the the object is to win get out of this get promoted out of this group yes um and that's something to fall back on that we've used in the past so I think it is important although with it being a World Cup there wouldn't be a playoff by the Nations league but the higher up you are the the better chance you have of getting a playoff yeah of course Wales couldn't take that route to the European championships but if you're in League a the chances are you will get a playoff yeah now yovic high ball wide to the far side but Wales will clear here is James and now brenon Johnson Midway inside his own half Ramsey in support Johnson now looks to go himself and he Bobs and weaves between a couple of challenges goes down looking for the free kick doesn't get it and here is yovic going forward now 5 minutes to play Wales hanging on leading 2-1 here U though wins it back and here is Ramsey but Ramsey has given the ball away to radulovich and now Kami deep inside the penalty area runs into Nico Williams but he delivers the cross in headed away at the near post by meam Williams who's kit is absolutely saturated and covered with mud clears the ball away on the sne side Ramsey then challenges the fullback radonovich and the ball is out of play and Montenegro will have a throw in well I'm sure after the game Craig he looks into everything doesn't he he' be looking at the ball retention of the plays because whatever he talks about doing this with the ball doing that with the ball if you keep giving it away nothing works your system don't work nothing works the opposition just gain moment on you and you got to ask the question is it our technique that's let us down is it the movement that's let us down Ramsey now plays it forward towards Jordan James Square to Brenan Johnson he can break into the penalty area comes back in field here is Harris Johnson was caught late there but Wales will continue Thomas finding Ramsey again and now S Thomas again and he was fouled on this near Side by radulovich and you know what I'm going to say de you're going to say Brandon Johnson's got the fullback 1 V one and he turns back and takes the easy option and passes it what would Ronaldo do there what would Salah do they've got you one V one slipped on a Counterattack just push it past him and smash it across the face and he turns back and passes it makes me think do you do you really enjoy being out there the free kick played in by Nico Williams Oh we could ask what would Leon James do as now it's played back by Kamai and that's a break for Wales because Kamai looking to play it all the way back towards radonovich knocks it out of play in towards the long jump pit on the far side and it will be a corner kick for Wales with two and a half minutes to play so you can put your arm around players and you can encourage them and say to them come on get out there and ch but it's got to be what's in his shirt you've got to do it you've got to get out there and do it and have the belief in your [Music] head the running track on the far side looks rather motheaten as Ramsey takes the corner kick into the penalty area feels for hand ball as it rear up and struck reric and if that's given us hand ball compared to what we saw in the first half I think Montenegro will be rather unlucky yeah I'd have to see that one again well it was sliced off at teammate and I think it did hit robic on the arm but there was no question of intent now Jordan James good ball from him again to find sber Thomas he's isolated the fullback on this near side looks to hit the by line but overruns it behind for a goal Ki so honestly that is so annoying it's 88 minutes on the clock with 2-1 up we can only get three points you can't get four points why are you trying to score again for take the ball into the corner flag and keep the ball please stay on your seats after game Mar in with a late penalty for Romania in League C they lead Lithuania by two goals to one and in the games tonight in League a France still two up on Belgium Italy still two up in Israel as ampadu does well to hold the ball under real pressure in the Midfield area finds Jordan James James now down the left hand side cuts back in field to find aadu all the way back to darlo someway outside his penalty area taking no chances plays it long down field cpic goes back to his goalkeeper matovic and we are into the 90th minute here and rather like Friday night wales's first half performance has been much better than what they produced after halftime again experienced player Ben Davis 89 minutes on on the clock lad's facing the touch line with his back to goal and you drag him down they've now got a chance to put the ball in our [Music] box vvi tries to play the cross in but it deflects behind off BR and Johnson and it will be a corner kick as we tick towards the end of 90 minutes here I they get a corner b giving a foul away on the offway line they end up getting a corner fingers crossed there will be a minimum a five more minutes the corner low into the near pose cleared Away by Jordan James vesovic fires it through the crowd never got hold of it as he had to dig the ball out from a puddle and it goes behind for a goal kick I don't know what he's trying to do that he's about 40 yards out in a puddle trying to shoot I mean what annoys fans beyond belief is when players hit the near Po from Corners they can't believe how it happens so often I think they've done it every time they've had a by the way Nigel they must have had a 10 10 11 Corners yeah they' they've dominated that department certainly this evening but Wales can hold on here it would be the first win and terms of Corners they've had 10 Wales have had four yeah and I thought tonight we might try and exploit that they let two goals in against Iceland from corner we've only had four I mean possession is pretty much 50/50 Montenegro have had 21 attempts on goal Five On Target Wells have had 10 they're The A Team three on target of course two of those have gone in but now here is yovich wide towards the far side vvi with the crossing deep to the far post Thomas allows the ball to run and here is Kami infield rakovic on the edge of the penalty area and forward now as the central Defender rubic the cross in hooked Away by Ramsey and sber Thomas does well to take responsibility there and drive out and he's got the free kick caught by vesovic and that's good play by sber Thomas yeah he's done well there give credit where it's due you know he's run the last one out of play trying to score another goal when he should have took it in the corner this time he's he's sucked a foul out but again they get him behind our back four um I mean Craig's going to learn a lot from this game you know it's all right talking about pretty patterns of play and and doing all things like that but if you can't resist Montenegro and he leave gaps everywhere we look vulnerable but you know a win's a win at the end of the day if we can get over the line gives him a chance to work on a bit more long ball forward headed behind by csit and Wales have a corner with 2 and 1/2 minutes to play and you can hear the Wales fans looking to will their team home a hattick for K matolo also in this group turkey lead Iceland 3-1 and it will be Wales and turkey as it stands ahead at the top Wales play the corner short to Thomas Crossing High into the area over the head of Harris and Montenegro have the opportunity with vuvi to clear and that's what they do long down field but it's noded down by Ben Davis looking for James James though hauls down on the far side radulovich and it will be a free kick for Montenegro and we welcome listeners from talk sport to the closing stages in nixit Jordan James has received the yellow card and Wales leading here by two goals to one with 90 seconds of added time to play and Dean Saunders it's been a real trial in the second half yeah self-destruct I mean we're given another foul James there you know in the in in the dying seconds don't give fouls away they've got eight players now across our back line and it's just CR cross your fingers the ball doesn't drop to one of their players everybody back for Wales here a line of yellow shirts bedraggled due to the rain on the edge of the penalty area the high ball in is heathered Away by Jordan James noted back in field osay suppressed and plays it forward but now Johnson can bring the ball clear and here is James he's got S Thomas ahead of him needs to stay on side Thomas now plays It Forward down the left looking to go beyond yovic who's done well to get back to him but Wales should have a corner here but in fact Thomas has been penalized for The Challenge on yovich and it's a free kick for Montenegro no I think it was a foul and again the ball's going into the corner flag it's a great ball it's a it's a win from a winning position ball where you now make them defend and run back towards their own goal and he give him a foul goalkeeper is banging it up the pitch now Fleck on but Wales will clear from the long ball forward here is sber Thomas he have BR and Johnson in space to his left but he goes to the right and he's lost it we're into the final seconds of added time here here is the abedine defender rubich forward towards the edge of the penalty area and christovich wide towards vvi down the right hand side is the one final cross here into the penalty area but it's blocked by Davis and there will be one final corner here for Montenegro to take something from this game yeah the rains coming down and the ball is still like a bar of soap so carallo will be thinking if I have to come and punch it I will but any chance your two center backs get your head on it and Ben Davis radunovic will take the corner kick on the far side it will be an swinger surely the final chance of the game low into the near post the goalkeeper is forward but it's cleared away and Wales have won they've got their first Victory under Craig Bellamy hard earned in the end but it's finished Montenegro won Wales to and Dean Saunders they made hard work of that yes but three points won the game um sometimes when everything goes swimmingly it P was over the cracks look we've not become a brilliant team since we lost 4-0 to Slovakia so we had a good performance against turkey he's just seen some of the cracks there he's seen it and we've got away with it we've got the three points on the board the positives arry Wilson's goal great start keth for Mo gets a goal the negatives give the ball away consistently encouraging the opposition and personally I don't feel like we can play with a back four I I don't think I don't think we can play Defenders are not good enough especially play when we play against better teams and are we good enough to play with the ball or do we let the opposition come at us all these questions Craig will have in his head he'll sit down analyze the game and we've gotten the points that's the main thing it means in group B4 turkey and Wales have four points a piece Iceland have three points and Montenegro have zero points coming up in October Uber will'll bring you this game live on talk sport 2 Iceland against Wales and also as well Wales will play Montenegro in the return game so there is the opportunity there to at least take control of second place which will guarantee a playoff but the main thing is Wales have gone away from home and they've won a game which they've not done for sometime yeah and we had scored for four games we got a new manager uh turned a new pay age uh we we've got to a great start you know I'm like I've gone back to it the the young goalkeeper that passed away I think some of his teammates were crying tonight before the kickoff we scored two goals in 2 minutes we got in front we lck comfortable ke Mo's missed an open goal but the stats are there they've had 26 efforts at goal I think uh and that against a top team you'd end up conceding four or five goals but you know we've had chances we've we've had little bits of good play but the the pitch was awful the conditions were awful and we have come gone to Montenegro We've Come Away with three points 30 touches in the Wales bot for Montenegro that will be a concern for Craig Bellamy they invited pressure in the second half but the Wales fans who are brave the wind and the rain and Montenegro today are celebrating a victory and the start of the Craig bellam era has got off to a really good start overall Four Points in two games a draw against a good turkey side a win away from home against Montenegro and they can move forward now and Craig Bellamy can move forward he knows there's work to do he knows this is fa a work in progress at this stage but if you're winning games and taking points it's an easy position in which to get a message across yeah but like football hasn't changed that much to the point where you can play 442 433 five at the back you can play any system you like you can play a box in Midfield you can play a diamond in Midfield if your players give the ball away unprovoked you're going to your system's not going to work the best teams and the best players do not give the ball away as cheaply as that but I will say the conditions were awful thanks to Dean Saunders we'll be back together in October for the game in Iceland another away game for Wales coming up in the UEFA Nations [Music] up yeah in the second half tonight's show we'll be concentrating on the career and Antics if if you like of one of the most extraordinary characters ever to have played professional football uh the goalkeeper looks fnen steel but the first half of the show we'll be looking at genuine legend of the game arguably the greatest Bulgarian player of all time he played some of the great clubs in Europe as well we're going to be talking along with Kevin hatchard about kristo stov hello Kevin hello Christo stov we sometimes have I mean in the second half of tonight's program we're going to what LS fan and steel a man who never played any high level football but he got a great story in the case of stov he combines a great story with fantastic skill um and some of the biggest clubs in Europe a wonderful player one of my favorite players as a kid growing up um because he wasn't just an aggressive personality super confident but he was a wonderful player to watch he was a striker known as the dagger for most of his career but to the Barcelona fans he was Al pistolero or the Gunslinger uh he was powerful great awareness which led to plenty of assists quick primarily left footed great finisher and just a guy that you couldn't really take your eyes off there was always something happening when he was on the field well we should talk um I think about St how a player of you know very humble background he wasn't even from the big cities in Bulgaria he's from PIV now they of course do have a football team certainly did during the Glory Days of communist football locomotive PIV but he doesn't play for PIV he comes through an even less fashionable side I know nothing about heos in bulgar but that's where he starts his career yeah so he he joined a really small club called moritzu at the age of 11 but as you say by the time he was 16 he was playing properly in the third tier for heos her Manley he scored 14 goals at that level and he was snapped up by cesco sopia and this is a guy that said he and his friends when they were kids dreamt of football dreamt of Fame and Fortune none of them ever thought they'd make they would make it but he got to Sophia and there was an acceptance to think straight away that we've got a talented player here but then you started to see that volcanic temper so at the age of 19 he was one of five players who was sent off in the 1985 Bulgarian Cup Final between cesa and their Sophia Rivals leski and the Bulgarian Communist Party Central Committee no less originally gave him a lifetime ban but it was reduced uh to a Year's ban on appeal which obviously saved his career because it would have been the end of him really before started we should just say that again this is another player who's making his career uh for the young people there behind what was called the Iron Curtain where uh the Russian Empire if you like of the old Communist Party ruled Russia and all of the countries of Eastern Europe um football was very interesting in those countries because the Communist Party who you mentioned there often had great influence either the army or the state police um like the starzi in Romania um or um indeed big industrial sections the railway workers often had a brilliant team and to be although these players were technically Railway workers of course they were full-time professional players and European Eastern European countries Romania Yugoslavia and as we're going to hear Bulgaria they really I mean because Athletics was such an important thing um as we saw in the Olympic Games with these countries often of course with the help of drugs and things but they also turned out brilliant footballers and often brilliant football teams and part of this story with Christo stov is how Bulgaria produces one of the well in my mind one of the great International Teams of the early '90s this is all to do with him being coited behind the Iron Curtain lots and lots of workers weren't so well treated footballers very well treated but he's nearly banned for the whole life because I love this five red cards in a cup final brilliant and he was you mentioned that Army connection there that becomes quite important in the end because after this reprieve that he has he keeps on improving and it's the 1989 90 season where he really starts to attract the attention of the biggest clubs in the world he scored 38 goals in 30 League games and he shared the European golden shoe which is still going even now which is where they look at your goal tallies but they uh have a multiplier depending on what the supposed strength of the league is and he shared it with Hugo Sanchez the Real Madrid Striker um and by the time he left bulgary had won the league three times and the cup four times but the Army connection comes in when the Catalan agent Jose Maria mangela is sent to Bulgaria to do this deal on behalf of Barcelona to bring him in and he said that he dealt with Colonels in a room while soldiers stood guard outside they managed to do the deal and sto's monthly pay packets thought to have jumped from the equivalent of around £600 to around 20,000 so a great deal for him and I imagine a great deal for mingela as well yeah and not that usual because um although I said you know the the EAS European the Communist block teams were producing lots of great footballers it was quite unusual for these big transfers to go through because as you say they were the the state or whether it was the army or the police or whoever they were playing for very keen to keep them behind the Iron Curtain they didn't want them escaping for a start they didn't want people in those countries seeing the lifestyle that someone like Christo stov could achieve just by getting out of Bulgaria but uh the transfer does go through and um try try and tell us something about Barcelona in 1990 because we were so used to Barcelona being what they are now the sort of flag carriers for Progressive tick attacker football um and always in the last eight of the Champions League although they had won the Champions League I think at this stage hadn't they not quite no no they were just before so they won in 92 so a couple of years uh after he arrived and Johan C was starting to put these building blocks in towards that success and he was the driver really behind bringing stoof in cuz he said before he signed we had a team of very nice people but this was somebody who could use his aggression in a positive way and he said 100% should be the maximum but stoikov always managed to give more and he said we needed somebody at the time who was nurtured with what he described as a malche so bad milk somebody who had a bit of a temper somebody who could drive people forward so you had guys like Ronald kumman at the back andon zupa in goal you had Jose Maria bakero in Midfield Shiki pistan Julio Selenas Michael lad so really good players he dropped stov into that mix and he started to really make an impact scored goals early on but then you see that temper really early on so he played a Spanish super Cup game against Real Madrid first time he'd ever faced real in a Bast shirt he felt he'd been fouled but the referee urar Adar played on C was so angry he got a red card stov thought now I'll take that a step further and he stamped on the referee's foot he sent off given a six-month ban that was later reduced to two months he's very good at getting bands reduced is he is yeah yeah which is just as well for him considering you picked up so many and the referee afterwards referred to him as an angel off the pitch like really nice guy to talk to on the pitch the Devil Himself uh so there was another game as well that saw him given two yellow cards in the first six minutes so you could see this guy incredible Talent on the field you never quite knew when he was going to kick off and just just for those who who who you you can always go look him up now on on YouTube and he you know he's very much in the modern era so it's color and a and all that um I think we should make the point he was um he was like a bull wasn't he a sto Co he's only 5 foot1 so not a great big crushing Center forward but he was built like a cruiserweight boxer wasn't he I mean in a way that footballs just aren't nowadays they're much slim down and more like Runners he was built well I mean at the risk of upsetting people he was like a bull wasn't he yeah he was and he was deceptively quick as well because I think it was that mix of strength and speed that often made the difference but this was a guy who could play he could drop deep he could play people in with really good through balls or he could find the perfect cross uh he was really good on set pieces as well but you're absolutely right that strength was so important because not only could he score goals but he could make space for others as well and play them in and it wasn't just domestically where Barca started to have success but he helped them to the final of the Cup winners cup that season uh scored twice in the first leg of the semi-final against Juventus but crucially missed the final because of injury and without him Barcelona lost to Manchester United um but they went on to dominate La Liga they won four straight titles they were known as the Dream Team in that era uh they also won the 1992 European Cup final at Wembley uh Ronald kumman with the free kick as they beat sdor one- nil so this was a team stov got did he play in that game stov played in that game I I should remember because I was there actually for reasons too complicated to go into I was actually there well it was the Battle of the two Strikers wasn't it stov against shanuka the other end yeah I I I just because I want to put it into this program I always tell the story about that match um I was stood right where the players go up to get the trophy at Wembley but behind me were three Soria supporters men of middle age by this stage um and they were really nice men they had an Italian flag um which they took out and they weighed furiously when s were doing well and after the game which obviously they got beaten in and Barcelona won the the old European Cup for the first time we got talking to them you know while waiting for the players to come and pick up the trophy they said we really must stop bringing this flag he said what do you mean he said the three of us when we were teenag we last this flag was last in England when Italy were beaten by North Korea in the 1966 World Cup two generations earlier I said yeah you might want to Le the flag at homeand it's not doing you any good at all and of course the other important thing apart from me talking to Italian people with flags is that the seeds are something very special um were planted in that team with stov because they very young pep Ola is just breaking through and he plays in that Barcelona side at Wembley yeah he played most of that final and when sto got first arrived he was a fringe player uh but he uh you know slowly managed to work his way into the team of course was so influenced by Johan C and now we see you know one of the great coaches in modern football and we'll talk in the second half of this part of trans Europe Express cult footballer about Christo stov about his amazing um Adventure in the 1994 World Cup with Bulgaria and later on of course about a pretty controversial coaching career himself you're listening to Kevin hatchard and me Danny Kelly here on trans Europe Express Friday Night Live championship football rest of the international action and premier league is back this weekend with the north London Derby The Pick of the games we'll take a look at what's coming up and as per usual we'll have some overreactions to end off the show this is the Monday club here on talk sport 2 I mean R's situation is is unprecedented never before had somebody played three matches for Ireland and then come back to play in Dublin for another team obviously they was going to give a a hostile reception to me and Jack but I think it's time that we just put it to bed because I've been played them for England now for 6 seven years is and obviously Jack as well so I don't think it's going to be good I mean I think people here generally have take a pretty poor view of what de and rice did rice comes on it loes it in it's 1 n to England and it would be de rice caps are important so if you if you're going to say right you've got three Island caps but you can still got to play forland don't give them the Caps personally speaking I could I couldn't care less uh for a stars but secondly if I did care then I would think to myself that um that rice has chosen to play for England what a terrible decision that's been he's ping back for greenish that's two and it's the two players with former Irish affiliation and INF fairness to ja but the decision was always going to be playing for England me personally I think once you commit to play for one country and I'm I'm not talking about the deing situation here I'm talking about in general across the board once you commit to play for one country I think that should be the country as soon as you C you're done it's the two Irish Lads with the goals Dean rice and Jack cish there's a banner among the Irish fans calling both of them snakes well they both slithered into the box and rattled the back of the net right so England winning that 2-n against the Republic of Ireland the three lines ended the game with 77% possession more than they achieved in any match during the Euros under Gareth Southgate Rory Jennings is still alongside me in the studio what differences did you see between Lee carsley style of play to GIS South it was certainly more ambitious wasn't it it it was certainly more ambitious like the you could you could potentially be slightly kind to G Southgate and say that it's easier to be more on the front foot in in in a Nations League game in Dublin than it's hard to compare them isn't it it is hard it is football against Nations League the major difference I think and I think this deserves a lot of a lot of acknowledgement but also a lot of admiration for Lee Cosley was his his immediate stamp on the squad like whether you or not you agree with the selections like if you believe that n mwaki deserved a call up or even if you didn't believe that he did whether Jack gy should have been bought back whatever you think of it you have to admire his his wherewithal and his belief in his own approach that his Squad is correct like bringing in Morgan Gibbs white for example bringing in non mwaki that could backfire bringing an angel Gomez that could back fire and when you do something like that the reason why you deserve an awful lot of credit is because if it doesn't work out it's your boys in it it's your boy so realistically you're setting yourself up for a bit of a hiding for because if if he just picked a Midfield that was a replica of the of the Southgate Midfield even if it didn't work people would go well you got to give him time it's not really his team yet whereas he went straight away for the jugular dropped a few brought in a few kept a few out you know obviously Mark RAF is still not giv a given not not given a reprieve so I think that is the biggest thing that we can say about Lee Cosley his his belief in the boys that did the business for him at under 21 level let's hear from Lee Cosley now he was asked earlier if he feels an obligation to entertain fans as well as deliver winning football no I don't I don't think so know I think um I like I like watching attacking football um I like coaching it um I think I made a decision when I started coaching that's how I wanted to my teams to uh to play try and outscore the opposition um regard of the state of the game um I think you know obviously it's it's it's entertainment as well so you want to you want to create as many chances as you can and and be in possession of the ball so that's that's that's that's what I see as a responsibility making sure that you know you're you know not stifling the players with your information um and to get the best out of them so that's that's what we've tried to do Anthony Gordon was one of those players brought back into the starting lineup alongside Jack greish how do you think they fared fairly well I mean greish in particular it couldn't have gone better for him could it it was it was a a goal of the highest quality it was a goal straight out of the Pep Guardiola copy book actually you know all of those one-touch moves are so so beautiful to watch so difficult to defend against and then I mean the most unforgiving finish that you could have possibly asked for like really was a really was a perfect Jack greish goal wasn't it such Poise such delicate finesse involved and I think Jack Gish I mean you could see from his celebration he clearly enjoyed it but but you know the whole debate about Gish and and rice and we heard Adrien Durham perfectly making the snake analogies there with regard to the you know rattling the home fans and the slipperiness or whatever I do think it's true about about deam rice and I think he's right maybe nobody's right to be labeled a snake but if anyone is there is an Iscariot quality to what deam rice did I just don't think it's true about greish like I really don't I don't think greish did anything wrong I think you could argue that Declan rice did so Jack GRE is scoring scoring a beautiful goal in front of the England fans sending those England fans into raptures a really significant goal as well like England playing in Dublin will always be a massive fixture if you score in that fixture of course you should be over the moon you should be elated and he was so I certainly have no issue with that he played very well he got his goal and it was a perfect day of the office for greish I think when it comes to Declan rice and Jack Gish celebrating not celebrating Dean rice said afterwards didn't didn't he that he didn't want to disrespect scoring a goal for a country that he used to play for three senior appearances whereas Jack Gish only played the Youth Level very different approaches to Celebration but Declan rice went down the path of I'm not going to disrespect these fans in Dublin for a country I used to play for whereas Jack Kish went went all for it but the thing I want to talk about here is um you know who who was right I suppose you can't win this argument I can win it I I can certainly win it well I'm saying from The Players Point of View CU you're going get hit either way no I mean who was right the Ireland fans are right to boo rice I don't think they're right to boo greish I think that there's quite a clear dis discrepancy between the conduct of both players and you know when you when you phrase it there you've portrayed the situation perfectly and accurately he didn't want what you said was he doesn't want to disrespect the country that he used to play for I'm afraid that I'm afraid that when you say someone used to play for a country it's disrespectful in itself if you don't want to disrespect that country don't play for someone else would be my advice Jack Gish never did that so I think I think Jack GES has been slightly unfortunate actually because he's been tired with the same brush of Jack Gish whereas I think their situations are totally different Harry Kane um has talked of his pride about reaching 100 caps for England we've heard in the press conference that he will start against Finland tomorrow the captain will achieve the Milestone um when he plays them against Finland in the Nations League at Wembley tomorrow Kane is also his country's record goal scorer having found the net 66 times it's really special I think um like I always say I think sometimes it's hard to really sink in whil you're still playing and and whilst these moments come and you know I spoke about that previously with some of the goal scoring records but uh no this is one I'm extremely proud of I think it shows great consistency over a long period of time I think uh when you look at some of the other players uh who have achieved it you know some of our greatest ever players so uh something I'm really excited for um you know I have my my family there to you know enjoy the the moment as well and I think for sure a moment when I'm retired that I'll probably look back on with immense Pride but uh yeah I'm excited I'm excited for the game I'm excited to be back at wemble and uh I just hope it could be a special night all around with with a win and hopefully a goal as well so 100 caps for Harry Kane tomorrow become the 10th player to reach the Milestone how did you rate his time in an England Shir up to now amazing amazing I wish him well but I do think that his guaranteed place in the starting lineup is over I've got no problem actually giving him this one because it's significant fixture give it to him he can wear his golden boots he can have it as a as a moment but from that moment on I actually think that his place is up for grabs and he's got to prove himself he's got he's got to prove himself and he's got to be held to incredibly high standards because I do think that we've given Kane an awful lot of of of leeway and I've been I've been the the worst for this by the way I've been the worst person for this I've constantly said that Kane is the man Kane is the person that we back we must focus on Harry Kane you build a team around him but I've had an epiphany off the back of what happened in Germany and now I think that England could be a more devastating team you know you know some of our attackers when you think of what we could have imagine false n well exactly imagine a situation where Phil foden is playing as a false nine backed up by Anthony Gordon and B sacker with Cole Palmer behind like Harry Kane is no longer there because there were no other options because there are an awful lot of options because actually if you move Harry Kane out we're talking about how' you get Phil foden cob Palmer J belly and to you know maybe if you move Harry kanane out of the situation you can get fluidity back into that forward you know the players that you've mentioned there and then you can bring in some others so we're talking about maybe maybe uh Gordon on one side and sacker on the other maybe Bowen on one side and madai on the other it's all incredibly incisive direct footballers the antithesis of Kane it's Kane isn't Kane isn't conducive to getting the best out of Gordon aaka he's he's slower isn't he he's calmer and I don't necessarily think that that will up well so the idea of a false 9 is something I wholeheartedly back in terms of the game tomorrow we saw debutants for Angel Gomez Morgan Gibbs white who I thought played really well when he came on H nony madw should he feature oh yeah yeah I mean I'm not too passionate about the idea why not I do think that we've got
