you know I'll stand firm um that when he gets here we're going to welome him with open arms we're going to love him up we're going to and he's going to be a part of this football team and he's going to help us win a lot of football games it's you know he's got to sort through the financial stuff which is none of my business um I said it when I first got hired our job is to help these guys make money so I always stay clear of it our job is to coach him when he gets here and love him up when he gets here you could help him make money if came here right he'll make and he'll make a lot of money right so um are you annoyed at all with this situation no no it's uh like I said he's he's going through his process and when he gets here we're going to do everything we can to help him get what he wants is his trade request still is his trade request still on the books like uh that's a joke question which is that an possibility uh yeah yeah I guess that means becomes the top back uh we we have a lot of options um you know knock on wood we've got plenty of guys who took a lot of reps last year um so we'll I'll I'll I'll keep that one till G which is um you know it's week one it's uh it's always going to be a crapshoot um you know like I said there's going to be a lot of UNSC scouted looks I mean you saw yesterday today just uh you know you're very curious to see the tackling the the the efficiency the Precision you know just and can go either way you know you're off by a hair um in that first game and it could lead to a lot of crazy stuff and um you know but I just want to see us play with our style you know and that's just Relentless effort um great communication and and precis the best Precision we can uh an efficiency that we can play with and if we do that we trust that the results will be what we want but um but yeah week one's always kind of a ction will you will be nervous at all when Rogers his first hit uh no no he's going to be fine damn it he's going to be fine how important I especially for quarterback in general how important is taking that first if he wasn't comj all summerly yeah they um you know he's uh got 20 years I'm I'm sure he's taken enough hits and and he remember is what all of them feel like or at least most of them so um you know for a young kid I would say you need that but uh for a guy like Aron I think he'll he'll get hit he'll pop up now obviously he's going through his process and I'm sure he you know part of him wants to get hit and part of them doesn't want him to get hit right but um he's going to be fine you have to worry about him being coming out of the gate a while since he's played football whole process uh I I think it's more just recognizing that he is human and he's like I said he's got a process that he's going through uh um not that he's vocalized that with anyone or or talked about it and even if he did I wouldn't tell you but um he's um he is human uh and regardless what I've learned in in life just in life in general no matter how accomplished you are you still have moments where um you have to deal with things mentally and and I'm sure he's dealing with that but um you you know this this team has his back and I think like I said he's going to be fine he's looked fantastic you guys have been here all summer in OTAs he looks awesome and um and I and I know he's ready to go can you speak to the challenges of playing three in 10 days to start season uh it's challenging you know we feel really good about where we are uh physically mentally uh we feel great about the steps we've taken from a schedule standpoint um the load that we've we put on our guys uh leading up to uh this moment um we have our plan for the next weeks but it's uh it is a challenge um The Players understand that it's a challenge we've been educating our players the best we can and uh you know thankfully it's you know the positive part is it is early cuz on some of those off days we were able to grind on these future opponents so that way we could still stay ahead you know but um without having to cram it like you would if it was like our our second uh three three games in 10 days that we have later in the season but uh um it's a challenge but it's it's it's a it's a welcome challenge 6 shot superl is there a different Theon like that to say you you're first Super Bowl is there a different feeling when you go into a season like this um you know I don't know that's that's a good question uh cause because it's um you always honestly like you as a player coach you know talk to anyone even though you know on paper you look at it you're like yeah God we're so young you still think you have a chance you still think you have a chance every single game and um it's the same thing you still have a chance and uh but you also have a chance to screwed up you know but uh you go in and it's um regardless of you know work excited about the expectations we've earned this the right to be to have expectations where our first year was our expectations were to lose where this year the expectation is to win and um you know but uh you know it's so like I said it's welcome we're all excited about it but um I it's kind of a tricky question because I think every team in the NFL thinks they're going to go 17 and0 and go to have a chance at a Super Bowl you know like no one's sitting there thinking that nah it's a rebuilding year I think they're all attacking the season with a mindset to win do you sense like calm and Confidence from these guys how you get the season CU you talked about the business like attitude they had at the start of the summer you know um I I do you know like yesterday's practice traditionally your first Thursday of uh Thursday practice I know it was Friday but in season Thursdays us usually feels long because of it's the first time where it's kind of offense goes then the defense and the offense it's not just gliding through practice offense versus defense all day so practice is a little bit heavier and the juice and the energy that I felt we had for our first Thursday was pretty cool you know it's not traditionally always that way and uh our guys are ready they're prepared they're mentally physically ready to roll and um and I and I I don't know if there's a quiet calm it's more just anticipation and excitement to get out there as a coach are you kind of happy to be done talking well once you're done talking us but done with the talking now there finally game no for sure you know and hopefully we're talking about Good Things uh the rest of the year um both are fascinating um I've never seen a tackle make a or DN make a tackle with as often as he did especially his rookie year was absolutely fascinating and um I remember vividly uh Joe Staley um uh during his fir uh B's first rookie mini or first rookies uh training camp was just having trouble after the first couple days and you know Bosa was all the rage and I got asked about I said he's a rookie Joe will figure it out he never figured it out no offense Joe but uh but he's a he has a uh he has Elite hand ey coordination power uh can win inside outside through you uh Elite um football IQ he's just um a tremendous football player and if if you ever see him up close I mean his thighs are are like this Podium it's ridiculous what um what do you tell hu now going into this season right obviously you said a few weeks ago the ideal thing is he doesn't really play this season that means you're healthy what you his approach uh just like you would anyone else you know you you've got to be ready to roll um you know with now what I will say the the the difference for him is that he is getting a lot of practice rep with the uh with the two tackles being uh monitored so he's getting a lot of reps he's getting getting prepared and he's so he knows he'll be ready to roll if he has if his number gets called on different than a a a different rookie where you might be playing special teams and then all of a sudden you're in there on a win and you've got to learn the Playbook without Ever Getting RS he's getting a lot of work when we day he kind of driving home was the message of not overreacting to knows how do you ofage that as Co um you know that's where it's that's where it's different you know it's just stay in the moment you know uh the noise is going to be the noise um whether the if you win the messaging will be one way and if you lose it's going to be another way no matter how hard you try to control it so stay in the moment focus on what you've got control over and everything will take care of itself couple more robt we asked you the other day about you know if you still see some of the I guess vages of your defense there when you came here did you was that was that your blueprint on how to build this franchise the way you are now um how much how much did you learn just about building a culture towards AAL comp now for uh as a team or you talking defense as a team as a team for sure they so I I've been very very lucky very very lucky in my coaching career obviously starting with Houston uh with Gary kubak for six years but when I got to Seattle um I was a quality control that was part of a defense that was taken over that was worse in one of the worst in the league and and just was able to watch as we built that thing to a top five to a number one unit five straight years number one scoring defense um and then we went to Jacksonville and as a position coach got to participate a little bit you know evaluating the linebackers and we built another top five defense and then we go to San Francisco as a coordinator and we built another top five defense and now I you know just getting to see how the offense being more involved in just day-to-day interaction with Kyle and seeing what he did with the offense and all that and uh John Lynch and just talking through there and then coming here again um you know the defensive part that it's easy you know in our mind it's just that you know just we have a philosophy and we stick to it you know and Joe's Phenom phenomenal his staff upstairs are phenomenal with regards to talent and uh identifying uh talent and uh from a coaching staff standpoint being able to piece it together and you know the trick has been offense and and trying to get guys that um that that that buy into what we're trying to do day in and day out and I like I said really excited about the group we have and uh you know we'll keep we're going to keep this quarterback upright we're going to win a lot of football games anything else one oh yeah all right so heck yeah man we're recognizing Brian Bowers from Dell Barton uh out in Morristown um as our high school coach of the week uh they uh they beat one of the best teams of uh uh in New York uh uh to start the year and he's been there for 28 Seasons 22 is head coach 13 Conference titles competed in six state finals give me one and uh and a special shout out to uh D Baron's new old line coach Nick mangled see you at the game tonight tits are playing and uh but best of luck to Brian Nick the entire staff uh all the players the entire school have a great year
