Yeah! I love that that Letterboxd exists, and I signed in a long time ago. Absolutely, I know Letterboxd. Are you gonna ask me for my four? [Interviewer] You bet. So you must have your four faves on your profile, then, right? Yes, I do. What do I have on that? Should I pick up my phone and check? [Interviewer] You can
get your phone, yeah! (funky, percussive music) Alright, so I have, OK, yeah. Wings of Desire
(bell dings) by Wim Wenders. I have Rosemary's Baby.
(bell dings) Right off the top of my head, they'll all be kinda late-ish '70s. Obviously, Star Wars
(bell dings) would be one of 'em. Well, most of 'em are gonna be Spielberg films, probably, too. Okay, so first of all, Good Will Hunting.
(bell dings) When you mix the working
class with mathematics, I think it's a winner. Star Wars.
(bell dings) Do the Right Thing.
(bell dings) It's the movie that starts
a million conversations. That's the most important
thing about movies. I hate movies where the answers
are just sitting out there, and it's like, Oh, boy. I mean, if I wanna get preached to, I go to a church service. But movies are about
thoughts, and thinking, and it forces you to see
the world a different way. And Do the Right Thing did that. - Well Enter the Dragon,
(bell dings) of Bruce Lee, that's one. Dancer in the Dark,
(bell dings) of Bjork. Oh my God, that movie? Devastating. The Godfather.
(bell dings) Godfather
(bell dings) would also be another one. Everyone always says The Godfather,
(bell dings) but there's a reason. Let's just go for the first one. We'll ignore the second and third. [Interviewer] Ignoring
the second? Controversial. I mean, I can throw the second in there, but I don't wanna lose it, I don't wanna lose that space. Forrest Gump.
(bell dings) - I have The Selfish Giant
(bell dings) by Clio Bernard. It's a wonderful movie that takes place in Manchester that I saw. It really, really marked me. Rocky I.
(bell dings) Inside Out.
(bell dings) You have to go with an animation. Either that or Finding Nemo, but I'm gonna go with Inside Out. El encanto del erizo.
(bell dings) I don't know how to say
it in English, though. It's a beautiful movie, too. Aliens.
(bell dings) Star Wars, Godfather, I've seen, and Jaws
(bell dings) would be another one. So I know I'm really
staying in a box here. But if I had to pick one more, so one more to fill out the box? All right, I'm gonna go with, because, oh, Schindler's List.
(bell dings) - And I have Paris, Texas,
(bell dings) Wim Wenders. But I love Korean movies. - Me too!
- Oh my God. Well, The Man from Nowhere.
(bell dings) Oh my God, that movie's amazing. And what else? And I have one more? Departures.
(bell dings) Beautiful movie. Yes. I thought the movie Philadelphia
(bell dings) was super cool back in the day. It was one of those ones, it'd put you on an emotional roller coaster. Let's go something more recent. Anatomy of a Fall.
(bell dings) Yeah, let's go Anatomy of a Fall. I think that film was relatively flawless. I think the performance from
the dog, I think, tops it off. [Interviewer] Actually, I have to say I interviewed Messi the dog
with this very microphone. No, you didn't. No, you didn't! There's a movie called Io Capitano.
(bell dings) It's a French film, but
it's probably the best... I was in tears. And then a documentary, Roger & Me.
(bell dings) It was all about my
upbringing in Flint, Michigan. Michael Moore, that put him on the map, but it changed documentaries forever. All right!
- Thank you so much for your- I hit you with the
top five, really quick! (funky, percussive music)
