[Music] [Laughter] Crystal Gail Mangum born July 18th 1978 is an American former exotic dancer from Durham North Carolina Crystal wanted more in life to make more money she started dancing doing things she wasn't comfortable with sometime women do more rated things in gentlemen clubs for extras it also can become an addiction in the Exotic World fast money and the hours you keeping you want to keep yourself up you have to go to sleep at a certain time also there can be pressure you don't want people to know the work you do that can lead to other issues as wello after Crystal goes through all these situations with the law she needs a place to stay so she calls her aunt to live there with her kids and her aunt hired a painter to paint the house and that painter is Reggie day Crystal and Reggie became friendly and some points that relationships became romantic at first it was just a hookup booty call Reggie was single he was dating some called him a player but he failed hard for Crystal he felt he needed a second chance with love Reggie's 46 years old nice guy on all accounts he's really interested in finding a life partner and starting a family he embraced crystal children so at this point crystal is 35 years old and she's moved into Reggie apartment with her kids Reggie and Crystal seem very happy at some point he wanted to introduce Crystal to his family one night Reggie went to a family member house he was bleeding 911 also received a call that an individual had been snapped the police also sent the paramedics an officer to the apartment you call tell that some [ __ ] went down something violent had happened the doorway was open furniture on the ground Hennessy bottles Reggie was drinking there also was reports of hair clunks in the bedroom and bathroom area and it appears the bathroom door was kick in just a [ __ ] situation there appear to be blood stains on the couch and on the floor it looks like somebody was trying to to protect themselves and hide in the bathroom and someone had kick in the door Crystal and her kids was not at the residence apparently she didn't go too far her aunt stayed near Reggie apartment and that's where the police found her they say that she had injuries to her face busted lip and also defense wounds on her hands and arms ik Turner type [ __ ] it looks like she was a victim of an assault Crystal was in one of the interview rooms Crystal claims this was self-defense a and Reggie attacker it sounds like they care for each other but the relationship took a left turn Reggie wanted to give Crystal everything but Reggie also had a severe alcohol problem neighbors say there was often screaming in loud sounds bangs against the walls Crystal at the time was still working as exotic dancer escort she was still going on dates tricking for money and regie never approved of that when it came to Crystal side hustle Reggie was jealous he did not want her doing that coming in the apartment all types of time smelling like parsum [ __ ] so it lead to more problems in their relationship so the next night Crystal went to a party at Reggie family and friend's house it's the first time Crystal had met Reggie's family Crystal was having fun talking to people and Reggie was drinking getting jealous apparently there was a lot of people at the party and Crystal started dancing and flirting with people when they got home Reggie confronted her got upset started arguing saying I just took you to meet my family here you go flirting and bouncing ass on people he was very angry and drunk Crystal runs to the bathroom and locks the door reie casually walks to the door not a care in the world dot dot speeds of Jason ves's kicks in the door pulls her out the bathroom Crystal clams Reggie started chalking her holding her down ww type style and like magical trick she reaches out and finds a knife on the ground I swear you can't make this [ __ ] up the knife is on the floor picks it up and stabs him like she was in a Scream movie he collapses and she runs out the door for a help after Crystal left Reggie wakes up and goes to his family member's house next door bangs on the door and say I've been stabbed the [ __ ] got me good so the police get to the scene taking Reggie to the hospital he goes into emergency surgery he's in critical condition at this point the next day after his surgery the investigators go to speak with him about the incident and Reggie admits yes we go into an altercation he admits he broke down the door he dragged her out and pulled her hair at that point the store diverges he climbs when he dragged her out he told her to leave basically get the [ __ ] out instead of leaving Reggie said she went to the kitchen and got a knife Reggie climbs he was trying to walk away from her then bam he gets hit on the back and side so if Reggie is facing her and beating her how do he get hit in the back I'm just saying I saw and heard a lot of crazy [ __ ] I'm not judging I'm just telling you the story so after the surgery Reggie remains in the hospital doctors say Reggie was improving and he will be okay he was talking to detectives and things were looking good 2 days later in the hospital things turned left he went into a coma Reggie didn't come back ultimately Reggie died due to complications from a stab wound what a bloody mess Crystal was eventually charged with murder in November 2013 she was found guilty of second degree murder after she stabbed boyfriend Reginal day who died 10 days after she argued that she acted in self-defense saying that she feared day would kill her she was convicted and sentenced to 14 to 18 years in prison previously in February 2010 she was charged with the attempted murder of her then living partner Milton Walker but
