on August 31st 2024 in a 3-day celebration 52 years old princess Mara Louise of Norway has tied the knot with celebrity Shaman durik verret Mar Louise is the daughter of King Harold V and queen Sonia of Norway and the older sister of Crown Prince hakon the heir to the Norwegian Throne her new husband who also her second husband is the 49-year-old self-professed shaman an author who has worked with celebrities the princess was previously married to Norwegian author Ari Ben and they have three daughters the couple divorced in 2017 tragically AI took his own life in 2019 princess Mar Louise and D met in 2019 and got engaged in 2022 the couple have made headlines since they got together in 2019 this is due to their claims and comments about alternative medicine and Mr verret's career as a shaman to the stars in 2022 the princess dropped her duties as a working Royal to focus on the couple's commercial interests although the princess has stepped down as a working Royal but she's still a royal and the daughter of the current King so even though she isn't working for the Royal house anymore this wedding has been highly anticipated the couple have always had a contentious relationship with the Norwegian press and now the country's media is leveling its focus on the couple for a different reason which is its lack of access to the country's first role wedding in 22 years in fact the local media is Uninvited to the wedding altogether for the first time only Foreign Press have been invited they have broken protocol by choosing to sell exclusive media rights for the wedding day to British magazine Hello magazine as well as Netflix local editors and representatives have voiced their disappoint M about not having access to the major public event despite all this the wedding celebration started on a high on the morning of 30th of August guests joined Mara and D for a 3-hour cruise to the Village of Ganga where the couple and her daughters drove through the streets in a vintage car in the evening the Royal guests joined the couple for a cocktail party dinner and dance at the hotel Union this was a pre-wedding celebration with a Sou party during the party guests including members of the Norwegian and Swedish royal family enjoyed a buffet dinner and Lively dancing despite the rain for the occasion the princess wore a stunning pale pink dress the following day on 31st of August she walked down the aisle in a traditional white dress accompanying her traditional white dress was her stunning Diamond Tiara that she received from her grandfather King Olive on the occasion of her 18th birthday in 198 89 as well as a diamond tennis necklace that also appears to be her private property the wedding was attended by Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and Prince Daniel as well as Prince Carl and Princess Sophia of Sweden princess ASD age 91 also attended the ceremony in the evening all the guests and Royal relatives joined the newly wedded couple for a Gala dinner the king and queen have decided not to appear in any of the photos other than the official ones obtained by the Norwegian Royal Court family has however shared a new portrait taken together on the Royal yacht in traditional Norwegian National dresses taken before the wedding the bride's father King Harold who fought for years to be allowed to marry Queen Sonia a commoner has said very little about his now son-in-law in the past referring only to a culture Clash he has described him as a great guy and very funny we have agreed to disagree on some things the king said in November 2022 the king and queen also have a remarkable Love Story I've also done a video on their wedding I will attach the link at the end of this video please do check it out and I'm sure you will enjoy it with this let's wish the newly wedded couple a life filled with happiness and joy and that's it for now please like share and subscribe to the channel and as always thank you so much for watching
