Introduction welcome to double sleeve reviews this is a series of videos where we review accessory products for trading card games and decide if we think they are worth buying and subsequently stocking on our website in this episode we'll be taking a look at the ultra pro eclipse deck box when reviewing debt boxes we'll break things down into five categories quality storage security accessories and price starting with quality he will take a look at the build quality of the debt box and the overall functionality of the design the eclipse debt box is made from an archival safe non PVC rigid plastic whilst the plastic is relatively sturdy you can see that with some pressure applied it is susceptible to bending to add to this the lid itself is weakly sealed and your cards will fall out of the box if overturned the lid also snaps back shut unless you hold it open which can make it more difficult than it needs to be to access your cards inside we can only rate this a 4 out of 10 for build quality for storage is a simple test to Storage see if the debt box holds the amount of cards it is intended to the Eclipse 100 plus debt box is made to hold you guessed it a hundred plus double sleeve cards as you can see the eclipse deck box does manage to fit a hundred double sleeve cards inside if not a little tightly due to the tight fit you may find you need to tip the Box upside down to get the cards out effectively even so it does enough for a pass moving on to Security security here we test to see how capable the box is at keeping your cards safe as mentioned before though the plastic is rigid it will Bend and will break under enough pressure whilst we feel it is sturdy enough to withstand a reasonable amount of force we would not recommend it to store any high value cards we give this a moderate 5 out of 10 for security as for accessories the ultra pro eclipse debt box was not designed with an accessories compartment if that's what you're looking for this is not the box for you having said that for those looking to store a double sleeved 60 card deck and still have room for their dice this could be an option lastly on our list is Price price and this is where the Eclipse deck box really shines at 3 pound 50 you will not find a cheaper debt box that holds a hundred plus double sleeve cards a dazzling 9 our 10 to summarize for Summary quality not the best sturdy but bendable plastic and a troublesome lid 4 out of 10 for storage a pass does what it says on the tin for sturdiness acceptable and strong enough for general use 5 out of 10 for accessories there is no accessories compartment and for price a market-leading 3 pound fifty nine out of 10 as always what matters most when choosing what to buy depends on your own needs if you're looking for a premium debt box to keep your valuable cards safe then there are many more better expensive options out there if you are after a simple no thrills debt box to transport bulk cards to and from a casual magic session then this could well be the one for you the debt box may also appeal to those with many pre-built decks and comes in a wide variety of colors to meet any indexing needs or taste whatever your requirements we hope this video has helped you to decide whether the ultra pro eclipse deck box is right for you let us know if there are products you want to see us review in the comments below and please like and subscribe if you found the video helpful thanks for watching and we'll see you in the next one
