well we're not calling for a border poll right now what we're saying is it's going to come a lot sooner than people think so we have to get ready that's why I set up a new Ireland commission we're having thousands of conversations and working on policy um this for me is a very attractive proposition we talked about the the Joel talked about uh the financial situation here this place is a economic basket kits let's be honest the opportunity I just wanted to do put one point to you if it's an economic Basket Case in one of the richest economies in the world what exact about joining with the Republic of Ireland would make it not an economic have you looked at the economic figures in the South right now the Surplus the billions of pounds worth of surplus and remember this because I proposed it to miall Martin we now have a shared Island fund which is worth over a billion euros now our water bridg is getting funded out of it there's expansion at mgee University getting funded out of it that's what uh the Dublin government is doing it's easier to get money out of Dublin and Norther than it is to get out of storment these days because place isn't working Hest working on a proposition what this has to be about though it's about the opportunity to rejoin the European Union but the talks and the conversation that we're having have to be a process of reconciliation has to be bringing people back together again because the division in this Society Naomi is absolutely right has to be solved but it's not one or the other the opportunity to give people a better standard of life to be part of a thriving economy 500 million people in the European Union and a better standard of life people in the South are getting paid twice as much as they're getting paid in the North they pay very they pay very high rents and it's difficult to get a they're very happy to do it because it's there's full employment down there there's a massive opportunity across this island obviously we have to do an awful lot of work to convince people but that's a job we're involved in we have a position on it other people have a position on it I hope Naomi and others come to that position made point
