Cleveland weather forecast: Sunshine continues today

Look outside this morning. I hope you're enjoying your morning so far. It's a calm start in the house. Hopefully, maybe the kids are still asleep, you're getting ready for work. Whatever it happens to be, it's a beautiful start to our day. What a stretch of weather we've had and this stretch is going to continue here locally. I want to bring you the latest. This is all that's happening in the country right now. Francine's down to tropical storm status made landfall as a hurricane yesterday. Cat two, all the rain is on the north end of this winds are at 45 and the movement's gonna start to slow. And the reason why that movements gonna start to slow is because we've got high pressure here locally. That's gonna put the brakes on this system. So over the next day and a half, it slows, it weakens and it kind of fizzles areas near Memphis, Tennessee and the Tennessee Valley over towards Missouri, gonna pick up the final rainfall from this. You see, as we go through time, everything kind of falls apart. There's still a lot of rain with it, still flood threat as well. But overall, everything stays south of us. We just get a little spray of some high clouds off of that over the next couple of days and notice that late tonight for the sunset, that late high cloud cover is gonna start to work in off of Francine until then expect lots of sunshine today. All the rain with the system will stay down to the south. This high pressure isn't just gonna be a player this weekend, but all the way through the beginning of next week as it looks right now, we're still going to have the same high on the weather map, not moving and providing nice weather for us locally. 59 right now, the dew points up a little bit even versus yesterday. So there's a little bit more humidity out there. Temperatures area wide in the fifties right now. There are your dew points up into the mid fifties for most of us. So, a hot and kind of humid day expected across northern Ohio, we've had a little bit of haze and fog in the atmosphere. Nothing that will slow you down here this morning, National Design Art Hour by hour forecast. Lots of sunshine throughout the duration of the day will be in the mid eighties for high, still have some atmospheric smoke. So we won't have that clear blue sky. It will be that milky white. Once again tonight, the high clouds move in, we're back into the fifties and then we'll deal with high clouds throughout the day on Friday, staying dry once again in the low to mid eighties guards taking on the rays at home. 6 41st pitch tonight will be in the eighties. It will be a warm evening with hazy sunshine around. How about the weekend? Take your pick both days. I've got it 85 degrees with sunshine and high clouds should be a beautiful late summer weekend here. And in terms of rainfall, we're not expecting that this weekend is either our next chance of rain arrives, not till Tuesday next week. So let's look at it with your long ranger forecast. Francine's rain. Stay south. We mentioned this yesterday. Something to watch is going to be some development off the east coast by the Carolinas. There's going to be some kind of system that develops here and comes inland as of right now. The models keep us mainly dry Tuesday with just some shower chances Wednesday. This isn't a big rain, but it's something and it does look to kick start kind of a, a rainier pattern after that. But boy do we need it because that drought, we get a new drought monitor today. It's not going to be pretty, that drought is pretty bad across the areas of Ohio, especially south of here. Union Home, mortgage 70 forecasts in the low to mid eighties throughout the duration of the forecasts with that rain chance Tuesday into Wednesday, Isabel. All right, Matt Thank you.
