Coco Jones, Miranda Lambert & More Talk on Taylor Swift's Impact at the 2024 VMAS

the door has always been open music is freedom of expression but I feel like it's also about being educated and really you know making an impact not just following any Trend anything that's supposed to be said so I really commend women and artists like T Swift who you know stand on business who do their research and who say something not just to say something you know I don't think she set out to set that standard or not I think she did what she felt she wanted to do and in setting a record straight those are her words given the AI that's been out out and about I think more I think more celebrities are going to you'll find them setting the record straight because of AI um so that that was more noteworthy than the political nature of what she had to say um but no listen I mean it's rock and it's politics It's Entertainment uh when people get a platform and they're they're passionate they're going to use it I'm a big Swifty man love T Swift love Taylor big one such a leader right um last night she comes out with an endorsement does that give other artists permission to be more political um I think you just do you you know do what you feel in your heart just be honest with yourself and authentic to you to your person and you know and and just walk in your truth you know you know I think if you have a platform you're an artist you build a platform and you can use that for whatever you feel passionate about and whatever you believe in I personally have never gotten into politics I use mine to save dogs but mut Nation Foundation is my Foundation but I don't you know I think each to their own I think it's it's up to the individual for sure [Music]
