Jack Gunston's 'Back At Hawthorn' Interview

Gunners back at horor how pleased are you to be back in the ground and gold yeah it's really exciting um it was nice walking in today and seeing a lot of the boys there's still a lot of new faces that I haven't met um before so it would be good to work with them and get to know them but yeah a lot of lot of familiar faces and um yeah it's nice to be back what excites you the most about now being back at the club and the direction that we're heading in with such a young side yeah obviously um having played here so long it was I couldn't not watch the games last year and um they were really competitive uh they they played a lot of good footy a great brand of football and um that's something that Sam has has had for the last two years attacking strong brand and um that's something I'm looking forward to getting back involved with again you'll be one of the older heads here how does it feel to have that leadership and mentorship aspect as well driving you forward yeah like as I said I've worked with a few of these guys before so it would be nice to to see how far they've progressed and um I saw that on the field last year a lot of them have taken the next step and they're playing some really good consistent footy so um yeah happy to be here and help but um also looking forward to getting out there and Performing and playing alongside him you mentioned getting out there again you'll be in the forward line alongside the likes of your good mate Punky again how excited are you to be re reuniting with him yeah look I love playing with Luke and um we've got a great Bond on the field and off the field and um he had a super year last year I was really really pleased for him and um he was he was really dangerous in in a forward line that um the ball wasn't always getting down there so looking for to playing with him and Mitch Lewis again and obviously we' got a few new recruits out there as well so it's an exciting forward line that looking forward to working with and the younger boys back on the track today for first day of pre-season how ke are you to get back in it in another few weeks down the track yeah yeah really came to get out there um obviously we finished a bit later um up in Queensland so we'll e our way back into it and um the body's not as young as it used to be so we'll we'll isas our way into Christmas and then um yeah try and have a really good solid pre-season and um yeah it's not often you're looking forward to getting out there for preseason but um I'm really excited by it and um yeah just came to together amongst the boys again it's great to have you back thanks C thank you thank
