kind of stay away from and you know just having regular conversation and at the end of the day like I stated earlier like business is business like his side control they in and they and our side control is so um hopefully something comes up real early quick and have them back out there I mean you're kind of a good person to talk to about it because you put in a trade request and then you got your extension and that happened and I feel like he's following your lead uh so I guess my question is does a trade request request mean it's over no um I just say like it's it's just a stressful time and you have a million things going on in your head and you know with with not going through it like before and like with me going through it before and I kind of get everything like you don't know like What's Happening Here what's happening there or what's being said here what's being said there but at the end of the day it's just negotiations and some things you can take personal some things you can some things you can't so I mean it's just part of the negotiation process and you know those times are stressful and then like if you if you don't get what you want you just like all over the place and then you like is this how it's going to go and then your mind is just wondering so overall like it's just a stressful time and I feel like he'll get through it when you got your extension did everything just sort of blow over and you were just ready to go right oh for sure but like I remember having this conversation with B he was like Hey man like once you got paid like I thought once you got paid you just feel like you're like it's over like but it's 10 times more stress on you going out there on the field more than anything it's like all right now we didn't paid you we didn't paid you this much amount of money so you got to go out here and just go crazy I wish I knew I wish I knew you know it's been a long arduous hard process hard journey um you know we started this early and um you know for whatever reason haven't been able to get it across the Finish Line that's been frustrating um but the communication still has been really good both with Brandon and his agent and we're trying to figure out Solutions and and uh you know I'm always hopeful I'm an optimistic person at nature and so I'm always hopeful that that that um you know we'll get there and get there soon I can tell you we feel the urgency um to have him The Season's approaching and uh we have ample time and so we're working hard um and uh hopefully there's a resolution soon I'm blown John Lynch the GM doesn't know what's going on man he should get a Chey on the roster to share with him our senior NFL Insider Adam shefer joining us Chey what's going on what is going on between iuk and the ners right now well everybody wants a resolution I just got back from Pittsburgh today and I must have been asked about 12 different times from Steelers fans are we getting auk that is the question of the day in Pittsburgh and the truth is at this point in time nobody can sa for sure because the 49ers have made efforts to resign Brandon auk they've also had trade discussions and have the framework of a trade in place with this Steelers they've spoken to other teams and there have been various days where it seemed like various outcomes were going to unfold on that particular day once it looked like they would trade them to the Browns once it looked like maybe they would trade them to the Patriots once it looked like they traded to the Steelers then it looked like they resign them and here we are mid August no solution in sight now something could happen in the next day or so but it's also possible that this could drag on till the week of the season opener and it's impossible to say only because this has been such an unpredictable process all along but I would say the number one storyline during training camp has been what is going to happen with Brandon auk and I don't know today that the 49ers can give you an answer that they know is truthful and honest because they don't know how this is going to go right now it's so wild but honestly it's even more wild when you consider that while that has been the hold in that everyone's talking about there's another one happening in Cincinnati and it's Jamar Chase who's doing the same thing the difference here being he's got two years left on his rookie deal so what's the latest with him and the bangal this has gotten a lot less attention than Brandon auk and really the truth of the matter is there might be just as much if not more mystery involved in this particular situation what we know so far is that Jamar Chase did not practice during mandatory mini camp he has not practiced during training camp he even didn't show up to practice the other day now he did make the trip this weekend with the Bengals to Chicago for a preseason game but it doesn't sound like the two sides have made much if any progress on a deal and a long-term extension for Jamar Chase which would mean this as the regular season gets closer and as it gets closer to the Bengals wearing their all orange uniforms for the regular season opener against the New England Patriots what is Jamar Chase's plan of action how far is he prepared to take this and we don't know the answer to that right now because both sides have been so tight lipped about this particular situ situation but quiet should not be mistaken for lack of activity and lack of hurt feelings there's a lot going on here right now and we're going to see in the coming days and weeks how it all unfolds you talk about how significant chases he's one of just five players with 80 catches and a thousand yards in each of the last three seasons all right before you get out of here we got to think me WJ passin and th will ever have been together in the same room at the same time until last night in the presence of the boss Adrien wojanowski and maybe the biggest Miracle is that all of you got the Rams and Chargers the starting QBs have not been named but we do know that sha McVey won't be coaching as he's put assistant Aubrey Pleasant in charge that's according to reports and then McVey explained the decision to turn over the whistle he's ready to go I mean he has he's earned this right and really it's it's more of just going through some of the mechanics um it's a great earned opportunity and he'll do an excellent job and that certainly is an exclusive to whatever the result is it's more of the management and the way that you just handle everything um you know from the players to the coaches and and it'll be cool to see I'll be up in the coach's booth and um and he'll be doing his thing and we'll see if he throws the flag at the right time if you do really well in an exhibition game does it really count Mina kimes is on the Rams preseason broadcast and Pleasant's temporary head coaching gig means that McVey is actually going to be in the booth with her tomorrow night so meia let's do like some role playing okay let's just say like in a quiet moment when you're not on air looks at you and he's like you're brilliant Mina what has to go right for us to push the ners for the NFC West Crown what must we do Mina well one thing I would say you have to be on the field not in the booth that's one thing that has to go right for the Rams although he is excellent at calling games already and commenting um the thing that comes to mind to me Al is offensive health because when I think about a Rams team that wins the NFC West that makes a deep playoff run I think about an offense that looks as dominant as we saw last last year when Kiren Williams and Matthew Stafford were on the field in fact when they were on the field they were actually as efficient as the San Francisco 49ers offense they were tied for first League wide in EPA per play but of course Stafford has battled some injuries a bit of a hammy issue right now seems like it'll be okay for the season but that's something to monor there's some health issues on the offensive line a tackle Kiren Williams was hurt last year and of course Cooper cut missed a number of games with the injury so to me that's the really only question mark I have about this offense because otherwise I expect it to be one of the five best offenses in the NFL easily something that we're also watching is you mentioned that hamstring tightness and again they they've said the same thing you just said Stafford should be fine but a reminder that their backup Jimmy Garoppolo is suspended the first two games of the season for violating the policy on performance-enhancing drugs which means it could potentially be STS and benett time go dogs Mina kimes thank you [Music] for for spee for for in you video
