the most important takeaway of Kam Harris's first interview since becoming the Democratic nominee is that she still has nothing to say on inflation the best she could come up with was yet again to wave at price gouging even though she's already backed off her plan to supposedly deal with price gouging saying oh no it's not price controls but she's got nothing else she fell back on her first response which he's already disolved the whole interview was only 27 minutes she spoke for six 15 minutes of it and was vague and dodgy pretty much the whole time danab bash did an okay job of asking questions what do you do when the candidate refuses to say what her day one agenda is you follow up she still refuses you ask the other guy the V nominee Tim Walls and he doesn't answer either they don't really know what they want to do other than stick to the Biden agenda she praised Biden's term she said he was transformative but then she said she wants to move on she wants to to bring America to what I believe the American people deserve which is a new way forward and turn the page on the last decade of what I believe has been contrary to where the spirit of our country really lies word salad other word salad on climate change I've always believed and I've worked on it that the climate crisis is real that it is an urgent matter to which we should apply metrics that include holding ourselves to deadlines around time deadlines around time all deadlines are involved time that's why they're deadlines and of course a lot of their climate agenda has failed to meet its deadlines they're thousand short of the EV charging stations they said they'd set up they they've basically missed all their own metrics because they're ridiculous but somehow she says that she no longer supports Banning fracking because they passed the inflation reduction act and that's doing so much for the climate she actually said she'd accomplished a lot as borders are because she'd gotten some spending in the southern triangle countries spending that didn't stop the Border crisis nothing has stopped the Border crisis because they won't enforce the Border because they continue to wave illegal immigrants in she pointed to the supposed bipartisan border bill which Republicans rejected because it actually would further opens the Asylum door because it would right into law that anyone claiming Asylum must be admitted into the country that's not but that's her only answer really On the Border it was word salad after word salad not long ones because she didn't talk for very long on anything this interview is not going to be enough that she didn't fail absolutely is good for her I suppose but the fact is is that she still hasn't specified her own policy agenda that part of the website is still empty she didn't fill it in at all last night except with vague goals like uniting America somehow other takeaway here is that Harris's supporters are claiming that well she's done an interview it's great doesn't need to do anymore whereas of course the her critics are saying no she needs to tell us more and I think the voters would like to know a lot more about kamla Harris because she's still just an image whether that works for voters who are still upset about inflation about the Border about the economy and the lack of jobs we'll see I'm betting against it
