We knew the Talent they had offensively Uh jayen hurtz is a hell Of A quarterback they got one of the best Lines in Ball and then they just got a lot of playmakers across the board so Uh There's a lot to Clean Up it was It was definitely a sloppy game I think from us I think There was you know some uncharacteristic things that that we did um as a Staff quite frankly and that trick down to our players and so ultimately We all got to look ourselves hard in the Mirror and and find ways to get better tonight obviously wasn't good enough I don't know I don't know We didn't Score I'm not going to make excuses about the field it was the same for both both sides They Do Anything in theone as no [âm nhạc] That's What We're Trying to get done two play in a row I thought I thought the guys competed hard they played with good effort but it just it was sloppy I think like it felt like every time offensively We had a dripping penalty and we overc some of those but There was a lot of penalties a lot of sloppy play um you know I thought our Defense you know to force three takeaways against a really good offense I feel like you should win the game I think stats will tell you It's About 90 Win ratio when you have plus two on the ball but we didn't capitalize on those opportunities to come away with 9 points off three turnovers That's not enough That's not going to get it and do I think we need to play better defensively We can't give up you know points a game That's usually recipe for disaster So I Just When I look at it I think it's a collective l all of us responsible Myself starts with me starts with our and goes down to our Staff and then to our players and i challenged everybody we we got to learn from this cu I think you know um just watching thee and I'm not Trying to take anything away from Phil I mean they battled and they Play their game but I think There was a lot of opportunities that we didn't capitalize on and when you Don't do that you get beat and specifically Uh the red area was was a huge problem tonight and I would Say A year ago We were Pretty damn Good in that area and we got destroyed in that area Tonight I I think week one's always you just don't know what You're going to get you know what I mean It's it's kind of a slop pest and tonight was certainly that I Can't Hear You I'm Sorry I don't know I got to go back and take a look at it but I mean they were having their way with us would J had a lot of time to throw the football and I think any that more from our Rush tonight um and then you know when we did bring pressure there a lot of times it looked guys Were uncovered We had some mistakes um certainly In The Run game especially We had some some blown gaps Where they just was baring through there and getting ch chunk gains So You can't do that against a really good football teamc oh I Well I thought he did a lot of nice things and um he had I know back to back I want to say back to back explosive gains on one of the series um So I think with limited opportunities I don't know what the final stats were with How many yards he Ran for but I thought he I thought he played Pretty well Yeah It's not Just One guy I mean I don't think we blocked really well either you know what I mean so and Then He was able to bus some some some chunk runs you know philly give them Credit they came out defensively and did some things that We were not anticipating There was a lot more spot drop um not a lot of pressure especially in the first half I think in the second half they kind of Flip their mindset and they s bringing more pressure um but they they were Trying to play Soft and um when teams do that and You're not consistently running the football It's going to be a problem Yeah I mean obviously He's a Young guy That's got a lot of Talent Uh certainly it Hurt him Missing a lot significant amount of time in the preseason you I mean this is first game Action So You Don't Know What necessarily To expect but Uh I know what We see every day in practice We see a very explosive Player that run and hit I know There was least One bus that was Pretty critical um Pretty critical mistake but I thought all in all i i noticed him just like you did he was Flying around seemed like he was makings ahead I me all right so no update on Jordan love from le That's What we were looking for there We didn't conditioning down he says He's 100 healthy but healthy and being condition to play NFL football game two totally different things Absolutely and that Point you know He's been Holding in hasn't been practicing so we'll see how ready He is for game Shape as Of course Jar Chase listed as questionable but meanwhile his counterpart t higgin He's doubtful for sunday's matchup against new England with a hamstring injury What could this bengals offense look like potentially without te or jamar Yeah I know right It's it's crazy this team is supposedly a Super Bowl contender And now You're going to be down your top two wi outs potentially and So this is going to be An interesting thing here for Joe burrow to kind of handle now obviously is doubtful for this game that string injury We have the contract negotiations going on with jamar Chase My gut says that Chase plays so the offense should still move relatively smoothly I know that We're talking about conditioning But in terms of the report we know that Joe burrow and Chase have a report like nobody else in the NFL cuz their Days at lsu now the question Is What else does this bengals offense bring and so is it Andre yosh and the second Wide receiver a guy that I think is actually going to have a Pretty good Year kind of Taken over that slot roll left by Tyler boyd could m sicky The tight End get an increased workload in the passing game and of course in the backfield you have zach m who they brought in this off season a guy in Chase Brown Who they're very high on having a good summer so There are still playmakers on this offense to put up points And Again this team that they're playing this weekend the new England patriots this the largest spread in the NFL This is not expected to be close whether It's with higgin or
