hi a few weeks ago i showed you my favorite tomato sandwich on toast with mayo and a lot of people said i should try duke's mayonnaise which i got but i also have helmands which i've usually used you know i grew up with helmets this says 19 since 1913 so it was around before me and this is since 1917. that's 17 yeah may almost been popular back then they invented around the same time anyway today i'm going to try a blind taste test kathy's going to give me a sample of each of these i'm not going to know what they are and she's going to give me half a tomato sandwich on toast hopefully and taste them because tomato sandwiches are my favorite and i love mayo extra mayo usually but i listen to your comments i'm going to try dukes i think i'll be able to tell them apart so you want to help me by not let me that's why i have this board up in front of me here right because i'm not going to know what's what we have a screen up so that he can't see me making the tomato sandwiches on the other side and i'll show you which one is which right and then we're going to hand the sandwich across and see what he thinks okay and should i toast the bread while you're doing that i'll make toast all right with me when it's almost time i'll say which one is better and which one i think is dupes okay i have the plates marked and we're going to mark the jars of mayonnaise so they correspond and then i'm going to slice the tomato up here mmm i can't wait this is one of the last batch out of the garden nope too bad i love them tomato sandwiches take care of that now i'll go get the toast out of the toaster in the meantime let's give them a sample okay take out the seal one of them has a seal only one of them has a gonna show you feel i move the camera i'll prepare this okay i'm gonna give them a spoon of one and a spoon of the other all right let's see if we can give rick a taste oh the toaster pop all right we're gonna give him two tastes here ready yeah uh like a spoonful test the thickness the smell the taste you know which is left here you know which was which yes and so do they that's good and that's good i would say this is hellman's don't tell me though that's good that's good okay different do they taste different this one this one tastes more mayonnaisey and the other one tastes hot what's man easy is that a word all right let's try a sandwich hmm i kind of like this one which one okay noted hmm okay a nice toasted bread here just the way rick loves it toasted toasted nicely all right now i'm going to cut this sandwich in half oh it gets a half a sandwich i don't want to make a thing out of myself remember what's what you got letters on them they both tasted real good i'll give you a healthy amount this time so you get a good taste and i'm gonna contaminate the two knives now is this going to be switched around from the spoon test like it'll be different on one side than the other well i mixed the spoons up right in front of your face so you didn't know all right yeah all right so here we go with a couple nice thinly sliced tomatoes i usually put salt and pepper but for this i'll just use mayo to try to taste it okay folks we're ready for the test let me get rick in the picture here i'm waiting are you hungry yes all right okay i wonder if we can pull down the screen now you think because i'm not gonna know what's wrong okay i don't okay i don't want to okay now we're gonna go with this one first this is fun okay i think i bite i would think this is what i normally have helmets i would think but i can't tell for sure until i take a bite of the other one maybe all right well don't eat the whole sandwich okay it was good though do you want to drink to clear your palate no i'm good all right ain't got a pallet all right next we're gonna do this one me me me hmm i'd have to say this is the dukes this one here i don't know what number it is but let me taste again go back and check the other one yeah i'm right now this is the one i normally have helmets i think they're both delicious i forget which one i said was which i think this is the dukes should we let me know now i'll take down the screen okay did i say that did i say this is a helmet he said that was dukes turn the plate over and what does the letter say on the bottom of the one you think is dukes show it show it b b is that right okay take this green dot make sure to take another spoonful and try take the screen down and and we'll show you d was i right with the spoon test no no you aren't okay with the spoon test but i do want to make a comment of my own all right i want to look in the jar you can definitely i don't know if you can see with our lighting but you can definitely see a creamier texture with the dukes let me see if i can get you to see the light it's very it's very smooth is that the duke knife yeah i like another taste of it all right they're almost it almost looks like egg like eggy it's very creamy wow and this one has a lot of bubbles and it just looks more like airy it's not as smooth and clean perfect see oh yeah um so i can see the a and the b it says try dukes southern sauces okay that was fun thanks for recommending dukes we're going to buy it more often i'm not sure how the price compares to you i didn't even look at the price when i bought it i was just happy to find it real mayonnaise smooth and creamy real
