the moment we're going to do a little bit of transfer news before we go into the game okay so starting with the news around Raheem Sterling Raheem Sterling apposed is being approached by Aston Villa or Chelsea are being approached by Aston Villa for the signing of Raheem Sterling guys how do you feel about how this has played out on the last couple of days or should I say all the week or so ever since Sterling was not announced in the in the game against Man City there's been this sort of buildup in and around from his team coming out with a statement all the way to now that we've kind of just sacked him off in the last the last stream and listen I I kind of disagree with it I've heard a lot of Chelsea fans across social media um feeling very negative about how we are moving forward um with specific players the treating of individual players and I understand it to a degree don't get me wrong I understand it to a degree I can get why there's maybe a a negative element to it in how it looks from the outside however Mesker himself has come out and he spoke to uh you know two interviewers to press conference and made it very clear that he sat down with Raheem Sterling on Friday on Friday before the man city game and made it very clear to him that he's not a part of the plans and that he'll be moving on whether Raheem likes it or not if you're a footballer from in my opinion if you're not getting the games and you don't you're not wanted either bu your manager who doesn't think you fit the system or The Bard who have automatically agreed to put you up as well and see if we can get any interest he should you know he should want to go look for a new challenge the issue you have and I get it is his family is settled we've been told in you know in London he wants he likes London it's you know it's where his family's from he hasn't really got a real want to of a you know to move but to then stay at Chelsea and maybe just not have any minutes and completely ruin your career something that he has to think of so Aston Villa have come across potentially as one of them we're being told there are maybe some other options on the table that Raheem Sterling will have to look into as well um Raheem St have to look into as well and I just think listen I have no issues really about my club being cutro I remember under especially at the Lattin of the Roman Abramovic era where we used to have Ross Barkley mangar Danny drink water all these players on contracts that we couldn't get rid of because we just couldn't sell them and we didn't have that Cutthroat approach as we do now as to when the manager don't want it and the Bal want him sold we're getting rid you know and that's it's it's it's a big difference from where we were of brv to what we are now even though people think there are a lot of comparisons back then if no one in the market wanted them because of their wages or because of their fees or whatever it was they'll just run down their contracts they would sit there they'd run down their contracts and we' be stuck with an overinflated Squad ones that shouldn't even be a part of the team just going on loans when they want to or you know because we can get him on a cheap loan or whatever just to get him off it like it never works out for us so this motive of being cutro and deciding we' got 40 players maresco's really made it clear he's only got 21 or 22 that he's working with you know why why why keep players that maybe the manager doesn't see fitsy system and also the owners maybe look and think well there's a 300K wage set on this guy that we've given him that he maybe hasn't merited and it's gone into his third year now as well so listen I don't think I think it's a heart light I get why there's a little bit of harshness to it in terms of where we started and then him being introduced in because it was a mess at the time he was never going to be the leader I told you was this back three years ago when we signed him he can't just sign Raheem Sterling I think he's the you know he's GNA be the main man scoring you 30 goals a season or 20 goals Seasons as he was doing at Man City because we were a Miss we were imbalanced we didn't have really a set you know attack really and truly you know our call wasn't there you know there was a lot of things that just weren't right but it was also individual performances and mesa's reached an agreement with uh Chelsea well Napoli and Chelsea haven't reached an agreement for romu Lukaku the parties will meet again we've been told by I think forit Romano that Mr Lorenzo flew over to negotiate with Chelsea again on both romu Lukaku and uh vikor oan which again who is the next person we're going to go into after this but still no deal struck for him now why is that maybe I don't really get what the romu Lukaku holdup is we've been Chelsea look at these deals separately anyway so this is not one where we use romu Lukaku to get Osan it's one where we want a specific fee for romu Lukaku and then there's another of then having to deal with Victor oan on a complete separate deal so bit unusual how we haven't stried a deal yet I do think we'll still get this done either of way um and I'm you know I'm waiting for for that announcement of here we go Romy Lukaku to Napoli to happen now does that mean it will trigger the news over um Victor aiman well for Rich Romano is one of his latest comments says Napoli will meet Chelsea today in London as they want to get Lukaku deal done even before finding a solution to sell Victor oan like I sit two separate Deals they want this one done and then in this one and they were agreeing them in separate deals official bid sent on Monday not accepted but being discussed with terms and conditions as Napoli want want to get it done as well so that's where we stand that's for briano coming ments on it now what are one of the real underlining issues that we're finding at the moment with Victor Ayman well this is it right here wages wages aiman signed an extended extension in 2023 worth 167,000 a week after tax which would equate to around 295,000 a week before tax based on UK rates that's from Gary Jacobs obviously there's some people saying it's un accurate some other saying he's not worth it you know we should go for the cheaper version is there a plan B this is my thing with the Victor Osman situation it's very simple we want him on a loan because it's we have an obligation to buy he doesn't want that because he doesn't want to go back to Napoli he wants to leave Napoli with the door shut on a permanent Chelsea don't want to do that that's what Chelsea don't want to do currently at the moment that's what we talk now listen things can change near the end of the a window two days one days at the end when the pressure builds up and it amounts what are we going to do forget aim and napple at this moment what is Chelsea going to do one of the biggest questions I have in all of this at the moment is if we don't budge because we're working on a specific cap in our wages and how we you know or how we want our wages to look or our structure to look over the next two to three plus four years why will they
