welcome back with my favorite show on TV the block is back in action the contestants for 2024 descending on Philip Island to turn a former holiday Resort into luxury family homes and who else to give us the inside scoop than the block host with the most Scot cam live from Philip Island Scotty how are you mate good day guys yeah I'm having a great time on the island just cruising along with the Penguins well it's the only place we can keep you safe um how is it yeah look it's been really good guys it's uh we've had a great time the Islanders welcomed us with open arms and everybody's so wonderful here and we've been out to the penguin parade we've gone fishing we're doing lots of fun stuff and uh the the island life is pretty good I mean this is the second time the blocks ventured to a regional part of Victoria but it can be tricky in Philip Island it's cold you can never quite predict what the weather's going to be doing it set up all kinds of challenges for contestants Sarah it's 35° here today coming straight off B straight yeah it does get cold but when we first got here it was really warm it was beautiful and uh and now you get that that real crisp air with the Open Fire and all that we love it and and uh we were working at the wiy last night uh for the winners of grinners dinner and we had a great time at the phili winery which is a lovely place you know I just thought it was disgusting how Sarah was from Melbourne bagging her own weather I'm not bagging I'm just saying it's Scot it can get a little bit cold down there phip is um now now we love we love the construction we love what you're doing here this is biting off a lot and I'm sure there's plenty of drama yeah look it hasn't been too bad we did have some uh drama as you say early on in the piece which um will all come to light when The Show Goes to air but right it's been a great show the houses are aming and we're building as you said a resort and turning into five houses with some common space as well so it's going to be a really great place for families to go when you buy these houses and hang out it's got a big communal pool and a tennis court it's going to be awesome yeah it sounds great and like I was saying I have been to Philip B numerous times as a child I did love it there but you know Scotty as you know working out in the elements can expose a lot of people a troubling news survey has revealed that 93% of outdoor workers are concerned about the long-term effect of working in the sun it's pretty concerning isn't it yeah it is and I'm I'm working in curz with safety culture and we're trying to get that message across about trades people or people working Outdoors to be Suns safe because we wear eye protection ear protection hats things like that but do we put uh Sun cream on and I don't think a lot of Traders do and I certainly didn't when I was a young black and I'm paying the price with my hands because that's what the a lot of tradies have wear long sleeves but their hands are exposed so and their face of course so we're trying to get trades men and women into the habit of putting Sun cream on and at safety culture Marketplace you can get free Sun cream I if you uh you know go online there and and get onto the safety culture app in my exp and they're giving away Sun cream to trades people in my experience with with tradies on on work sites it's the hands and it's the bum cracks so just make sure you yes always put the cream on the top of the bum crack good advice Scot C he's always got the good advice doesn't remember that time the no maybe not that's not go there you know you know what I always say Carl is make sure you crack safe you do always say that Scotty very good line I do I love you Scotty you heard me say that before there I knew it would turn out well um thank you mate look forward to the new season of The Block coming soon as well I just love it philipin will be incredible it will be so great hey there today fans Sarah and what's my name again oh Carl hey thanks for watching our YouTube channel though subscribe now for more news special reports and amazing Aussie stories and Kyle misbehaving of course that never happens always happens what she talking about always happens
