Big changes on the way: Extended Cleveland weather forecast for August 29, 2024

hi everybody happy Thursday to you appreciate you taking time out of your day to join us here on our YouTube channel for the forecast I'm three news senior meteorologist Matt wz we have a vigorous system up in the Northern Plains this thing is a very strong area of low pressure there's snow back in areas of Montana yeah that's early for them That's How Strong this thing is but out ahead of it today we're expecting severe weather to break out in the plains for us we have some popup storms possible this afternoon into the evening shouldn't be too big of a deal but yeah we do have some rainfall around but this is the game changer of a cold front is going to move in here low pressure is well to the north so our severe weather chance isn't too high with this but notice the trailing cold front starts to approach tomorrow that will bring some afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms around northeast Ohio but the bigger story is the temperature and humidity drops so let's talk temps over the next couple days today we range from 80 by the lake shore to near 90 Inland it's going to be much much warmer as you get away from the lake for you down in akan Canton do New Philly over towards the Ashland and Mansfield area it's going to be a hot day for you tomorrow we're all into the 90s out ahead of that front and then that front goes by and we drop things back to seasonable readings average is 81 we'll be near 81 over the course of the weekend and then another front goes by Sunday and it really drops our temperatures for much of next week we're going to be on the downright comfortable side so let's time it out National design Mar hour by our forecast here are your hit or misss pop-up thunderstorms as we go into the afternoon hours tonight everything Fades we'll go mainly clear we'll probably develop more fog tonight pretty good signal for that waking up tomorrow morning as we we're back down into the 60s and then for your Friday remember lots of sunshine hot day we should all make it into the '90s and then Here Come Those shower and thunderstorm chances into the afternoon and evening I don't think everyone gets wet but we've got a pretty good shot at getting some rain tomorrow afternoon into the evening and then Saturday unfortunately that front lingers so I've got scattered storms still in the forecast for Saturday should start to clear out later in the day from north to south so if you're in Cleveland up towards the ashil area you have the best chance of having drier conditions as we get into the afternoon and evening down towards the area will hang on to those rain chances much of the day Sunday looks good just an afternoon or evening shower chance with that next front that goes through and that next front will bring Sunshine refreshing air in here on Monday 71 for a high that's it Long Ranger forecasts will show that front as it moves on in here's your thread of rain on Saturday notice how the coverage is going to be pretty good on this this will sink down to the South here's our secondary front Sunday night and then this is a big old area of high pressure get used to that next week's going to be full of high pressure oh my goodness it's just going to be back to that fall-like kind of temperature regime that we had and the due points come very down there's your yellow line goes way down Monday Tuesday Wednesday that means we'll be back into the dry comfortable air Union Home Mortgage 7A forecast after a hot day Friday there's your weekend forecast a lot of things going on this weekend obviously Cleveland air shows going on we've got Jaga County Fair Canfield Fair is going on as well you probably have a picnic so best day is going to be Sunday and Monday and then next week lots of sunshine expected low humidity and our coldest temperature is going to be waking up Tuesday Morning next week we could have upper 40s back on the board once again we're back to fall in pumpkin spice weather temporarily all right we've got your next update on the TV side of things coming your way at 4:00 guys enjoy your Labor Day weekend everybody we'll see you then
