Central Park 5 HAVE SOME WORDS FOR DONALD TRUMP

hey how's it going everybody my name is Cedric and welcome to another episode of cap culture and polri today I got a video from the DNC 2024 where the brothers from the Central Park 5 showed up and had some interesting things to say about Donald Trump and what they perceived his involvement in their case was so without further Ado let's get into this video good evening people my name is Cory 5 years ago my friends and I were in in prison for a crime we did not commit our you was stolen from us every day as we walked into courtroom people scream at us threaten us because of Donald Trump now I disagree with him blaming Donald Trump for the Public's reaction toward the Central Park 5 given the fact that they had confessed to the crime and so all the public knew was that these five young men confess to gang raping a woman and leaving her half dead this type of horrendous scene played on the emotion of the masses within the city and so you can imagine just being a citizen in New York City 1989 where 2200 46 murders transpired that year which was a record and so crime was out of control and here you have these five individuals that had just confessed to a very barbaric act and so this is the public backdrop and this is all that they know at this particular time and even Donald Trump when he took the ad out he's taking the ad out based on five young men who said that they brutally raped and savagely beat a woman who in his mind could have been his sister could have been his daughter could have been his wife and so there's righteous indignation that should well up in the heart of any citizen when somebody commits an act such as this now looking back in retrospect of course we know that the testimonies were coerced and there were some things that happened behind the scenes as it relates to the police officers that was not above board but just going back to that time and putting yourself in the same mindset of those individuals it's understandable that they perceive these young man in that light given the information that they had at that time he spent 485,000 on the full page ad in in New York Times calling execution we we were innocent kids but we but we all but we serve a total of 41 years in prison re Al sh stood with us now I'm proud to stand with him today vice president Comm Harris has also worked to make things feral I know she will do the same as president now prove that message now this is the thing that I don't get because here you are crucifying Trump for taking out a ad but then you're praising camela Harris who has a horrendous record as a DA of overusing and abusing her Authority and using her position and power to decimate black men and all of the things that she did while she was in that position and so because she's a Democrat you're going to praise her when she had actual power actual control over the lives of black people and black men in particular and yet you want to crucify a man who took out an ad see these things just don't add up it doesn't make sense and that's the thing that agitates me about black people in the Democratic party it's like they could do the most vile most heinous most horrendous acts of evil and Injustice against the black people and it's like they got they got to get out of jail free car whereas Donald Trump he just took out a ad and you upset at him for taking out a ad when the da that prosecuted you was Democrat the mayor was Democrat the Govern governor was Democrat you were wrongfully impr prisoned and the Democratic party or members of the Democrats because New York is ran by democrats and it was ran by democrats in 1989 when all of these things happened to these young men and Donald Trump you know was a Democrat at that time and so the Democrats did all of these things towards you or and all of these injustices against you and here you are at their convention pointing the finger at one man one man who was a Democrat at the time when he took out the ad and and you're not mad at camela you're not mad at the da you're not mad at the mayor of New York you're not mad at the governor and all of these individuals you're here to voice your frustration and your anger against a dude who took out a ad this just doesn't make any sense to me an injustice against the black people and it's like they got they got to get out of jail free car whereas Donald Trump he just took out a ad and you upset at him for taking out a ad when the da that prosecuted you was Democrat the prosecutor was Democrat the mayor was Democrat the governor was Democrat you were men and Donald Trump you know was a Democrat at that time and so the Democrats did all of these things towards you or and all of these injustices against you and here you are at their convention councilman representing my hometown that's right representing my hometown of Harlem USA and listen as my friend Cory wise just said 45 wanted us unive he wanted us today we are exonerated Because the actual perpetrator confessed and DNA proved that guy says he still stands by the original guilty now and I most definitely have a issue with that because once the DNA evidence came out and the guy confessed to the crime and it was proven that none of these young men's DNA was on the scene Donald Trump should have walked those statements back and he should have just acknowledged the science acknowledged he was wrong and acknowledged that everything that he did and said was based off of the information that he had at that time there's nothing wrong with that because given the information that he had at that time his mindset was justifiable but after saying that given the information of what we know now self-correction is necessary and nobody should be too big to where they can't self-correct he dismisses the scientific evidence rather than admit he was wrong he has never changed and he never those are the type of things that I don't believe you should ever speak over a person and that just shows you the political climate and the temperature that we're living in now because people seem to have Grace for everybody except their political Rivals politics have gotten so toxic to where we can't disagree and argue and debate the the the policies but now it's just at homonyms and personal attacks and all of these things going back and forth and then you have these people that try to act like Donald Trump is the only culprit he's the only one he's been in the political system political Spotlight since what 2016 and politics have been corrupt ever since they've been started so stop trying to act like Donald Trump defiled politics like politics was holy and pure and then Donald Trump came and now he's just contaminated politics I mean this this mindset of what they're trying to project and get the American people to believe is ridiculous it's absurd that man thinks that hate is the animating force in America it is not we have the constitutional right to vote in fact it is a human right it's crazy how these people had a whole convention and 99% of their convention was not what they were going to do for the American people not what how they were going to get the economy on track not how they were going to solve issues and speak to the core need and core grievances of the citizens of the United States of America but it was Donald Trump did this and Donald Trump did that and this is crazy like I want to know that you have ideas and you have solutions to a lot of the issues that are ailing the country and yet all they did for the vast majority of this convention was talk about Donald Trump let us use it I want you to walk with us I want you to march with us I want you to vote with [Applause] [Applause] us and together and let me tell you this is going to be so beautiful and together on November 5th we will usher in kamla Harris and Tim Walls into the White House so I want to do this when I say one day I want you to St see us when they when and there you have it and that's pretty much the gist of what these brothers had to say I totally disagree with making Donald Trump the face of their imprisonment in the face of the Injustice that was directed towards them I hate how the Democratic party are bringing these brothers out and using their pain and their suffering and their turmoil as a political done quite sure they got a nice check for it but it's rather unfortunate that politics has sunken to this point and it's even more unfortunate that people lack the moral integrity and and the character to just stand on principles and stand on values because you can't have all this smoke for Trump and nothing for camela and that's the way it is is with it seems like most people in politics they hold the other group accountable for their wrongdoing while ignoring the wrongdoing that their um cohorts are doing and that's why one of my favorite passages of scripture in the Bible is when Jesus said judge that you be not judge the same measure that you meet the same shall be measured unto you why behold is y thou the mo that is in thy brother's eye and consider not the beam that is in your own eye first remove the being out of your own eye then shall you see clearly to help your brother remove the moat out of his own eye but we have a whole bunch of blind people not dealing with their own issues and not dealing with the things that are impeding their Vision but yet they're trying to speak correction to other people and so even though this channel is about the politics and the culture in my heart of hearts I believe the only thing that will heal the culture and heal the political system is the revelation of Jesus Christ and the light and the truth of Jesus Christ and people who are humble enough and submissive enough to allow God to work out the issues within their own heart the issues within their own minds so that then we might be in a position to help others see and I'm sure if you guys recognize and see what's going on in the world today today it looks like people who are blind are driving the bus people who are blind are running the government are running our communities because some of the solutions to the issues that we're suffering from are so simple but yet they can't see it and that's because they reject the antidote they reject Christ and they reject the light that he wants to
