Telstra Smart Home Will No Longer Be Available On November 16 2020

what's up guys and welcome back to 72t hope you're all having a great day and in today's video we have some good news or bad news good news if you want to get out of your telstra home contract you will no longer have a contract with telstra home from november 16th so you can get a refund for the equipment you purchased ish issues refund not a full refund obviously we don't really know what we're going to get there or sort of refund or you can transfer over to google net so we're going to talk about all those great details in today's video so stay tuned and let's talk about it good day guys so what we'll talk about first is basically from the 16th of november you will no longer be billed for your telstra home services now keep in mind most of your services that you have with telstra home if you are a telstra home customer they will no longer work from the 16th of november however some products may work they do set it in the email and the product they don't really describe what those products are but i can think of one thing it possibly could be or two things either a smart light bulb will work but it just won't have the smart feature so you can turn it off and on on the switch and obviously your smart plug that the only things i think will work the other things like your cameras will no longer work your hub will no longer work um if you want to uh like um continue using that stuff you will have to go with google nest and we'll talk a little bit about that very soon now we're just reading the second part of the email and this is called your choices so i'll describe it so it's a little bit easier to understand because in the email it's a little confusing until you really look into it so if it's where it says your choices you've got three major choices that you can choose number one is you do absolutely nothing basically and you'll get your refund if you're eligible for one number two is you transfer over to google nest and you will get you'll have an email and it'll tell you what you're eligible for for free so i am eligible for one google one ness hub and one smart plug so i'm eligible for that and also it says you'll get an 80 google voucher so you can buy some other smart home equipment your third option is to join maybe you want to mobile you want to join a mobile plan okay with telstra you want to join an nbn plan ipad plan whatever you can get the refund amount put there so put towards that certain um whatever you're trying to sign up to with telstra so they're your main three different options that you can choose if any of them are suitable but if the first one is the best for you you do nothing and you just wait for your refund now they don't really describe how this refund works but i can sort of tell you how it does it's just going to be the money will be just so you can refund the 200 i don't know if you'll get refunded that that will just to be taken off your next bill i don't think they're going to direct debit it will put it into your bank i don't think it's going to work like that i think you'll just be taken off your next bill so whatever your next bill is basically you'll have a 200 credit depending how much you get in the refund so yeah sadly in today's video i can't tell you how much you might get in a refund i really can't i wish i knew if i did i'd tell you but i absolutely have no idea but one other thing will tell you is the third option down right here it basically says if you want to move to googleness they can help you with free equipment free of charge obviously get an 80 voucher and so on and there's an actual link you need to click on now i'll have that in the show notes below so you can take a look at that if you want um basically click on that link log in with your telstra account and it should tell you what to do from there so i'll have that link in the show notes down below or basically that what it's going to be it's going to just say googleness and then click on that there'll be a link next to where it says google next click on that and see what your options are inside of that login and basically the fifth little bit of information that says in the email now everyone should have got this email if you're a telstra home customer if you didn't get it um make sure you watch today's video uh but yeah definitely um i'll have that link down below so basically the fifth part of the email does say if you don't let us know by the 16th of november basically you'll miss out you will not be able to get any googleness um offers right there basically you'll just be sent a refund from the 16th of november but if you do want to get these free offers make sure you click on that arm link and see what they can offer you so yeah that's pretty much everything that i want to tell you pretty much everything on the email side of things and there's one last thing i nearly forgot about on the email it's so tiny print it says any refund will be issued in during december so not november they so basically you miss out on the nes uh deal on november 16th but you will not receive that um refund until december so that's interesting i would have thought you would have got it maybe on november 16th but no you're getting the refund in december if you choose not to go to google ness so guys let us know down below you're a little disappointed um telstra home is no
