🏈 2024 NFL Draft Prospect: Olumuyiwa Fashanu, OT, Penn State

what is going on everyone welcome to another edition of 100 yards football Sports Talk Radio I'm your host and producer this afternoon Logan Landers and joining me to talk about the very talented prospect on the o line there at Penn State University hoping to make his name in the 2024 NFL draft no other than alumino fauno is The Talented my friend from the Elite Sports and Entertainment Network Jay mlov Jason mcmah Jay what's going on brother how you doing this afternoon oh man I'm wonderful Logan thank you for having me on brother course you know fanu you know you in the top 10 I think offensive tackles that are in this group uh he's definitely the top three if not the top one guy um there's been now lingering at alt maybe uh moving up that those ranks a little bit could knock Fu's value down a little bit but he's a great pass blocker he's out of Penn State uh I think he's projected probably to go number seven to Tennessee uh I think is going to wind up taking him um I think what he's going to have to do for the pass blocking because let's be honest will Levis and Company back there I'm not unless they pick up a a quarterback in some kind of fashion uh I gota imagine they're turning their their their sights on offensive tackles and in guard to keep that Young quarterback alive no you're you're not wrong and when I look at this just Monster Right comes in uh you know six feet tall or sorry 6 feet six uh just over 300 lb 3 12 coming out of Penn State I mean he's a monster Jay you look at him and he's for a guy his size he's kind of a sneaky athlete I would say uh he ran a 497 at the 40 also a 463 shuttle time he also is not a slouch in the wait room and I say that because he bench press 405 he squatted 605 power claan 350 so he's got some strength and as a guy in the o line you want that someone who's an anchor and fanu is a guy who likees he's got good height uh looking good already in the pass blocking as you mentioned um that's his bread and butter right he's got good hand punches good counters and he's got some really good strength run blocker also he's no he doesn't play second fiddle there man he is solid uh he's good with pushing guys out of his way and most importantly advancing to the second level and as you mentioned uh he brought up Tennessee that'd be a great spot for the now Tony Pard Le team uh if you get someone like him pushing what guys out the way the o on the D line and uh having him come through and just absolutely blowing it up and he's a guy who he has power he's got speed he's got athleticism he is the modern-day offensive tackle he he is and as you mentioned he's definitely one of the top if not the top offensive linemen in this draft just based on his freak of nature ability to get things done uh to get guys out of the way and he's also very he's a disciplined guy you know you don't see him get called for a bunch of uh silly penalties he's going to keep it clean and he is going to put in some work uh for whoever the poor sa is on the dline uh that's trying to get to him every every other uh snap he's just a an absolute monster man and I can't wait to see where he goes uh we all know that you know his Awards Outland we got Lombardy Walter Camp William Campbell I mean he's got an impressive just lineage of of trophies he's got uh also the Remington Pace Big 10 offensive lineman of the year as well first team all big 10 I mean the the the accomplishment speak for themselves njay this past season started all 12 games at left tackle which as we know is the most coveted offensive line position allowed zero sacks and over 360 pass block attempts also was a team captain I mean this guy there's not much more we can say about him he he seemed like a really good down toe kid as well volunteers at local homeless shelters um and like say major supply chain Information Systems get it done in the classroom as well so overall man I think fashanu is just a great seems like a great guy off the field but on the field it's one of the most dominant forces that we could see in this NFL draft what are your final words on this impressive human yeah like I I think like the biggest thing you said there is he's great at pass blocking he's great at critical thinking um which is what you have to have to be a left tackle and I think he's going to make some somebody very happy uh guarding their Blind Side he could be the kind of guy you build your offensive line around uh turn around no doubt man could be a guy who we see in the league for 10 plus years getting multiple Pro bowls uh and who knows man could be the captain or the anchor uh For an upcoming Super Bowl team in the very near future it remains to be seen but guys we want to hear your opinion where will Olu fashanu go in the draft will he go to your team will he go first round will he be the first offensive lineman taken off the board we want to hear from you in our comments and also since we are talking about draft
