all right well ladies let's get this started because jug me Singh and the NDP they have pulled their support for the Liberals that is now leaving Justin Trudeau's minority government on pretty Shaky Ground today I notified the Prime Minister that I've ripped up the supply and confidence agreement Canadians are fighting a battle a battle for the future of the middle class Justin Trudeau has proven again and again he will always cave to corporate greed okay so yeah there it is it's official polls show that the conservatives continue to have a huge lead while the NDP sits behind the liberals so let's react to the ndp's political maneuvering here Karly what do you make of this what's your reaction I mean I'm an NDP voter in in full transparency but I also believe that you know politics is a bus it's not a cap it's not an Uber so I'm voting and I'm supporting things to get me as close as possible to things I want even if it's not exactly those things so I liked the agreement because it got us close to pharmacare and all these different things um so I'm nervous about I'm I'm nervous about this yes yeah did you think like listen it was going to happen sooner or later I mean that's the prediction right and I mean this might come as a surprise to all of you but Justin Cho is not the most popular guy in the world you know what I've been feeling yesterday I was reflecting that you know when you're playing Scrabble and you get a bunch of letters that you don't like and so you decide to throw them all back in the hopes you choose better ones that's what I wish we could do right now with our leadership and just be like no no no and I you know I just they all don't feel like great options and I get why jug meet you know again it seems like from his perspective this is the best way forward in order to distance himself from the Liberal Party give himself a bit of Runway to uh reestablish his his personality his intentions what his plat stands for two Canadians I just don't know if it's going to work like the Assumption beforehand I think was that as liberals did this sort of nose dive down in the polls that the ndps would rise up and that hasn't happened as of yet the conservatives just seem to be like gaining and gaining and I think there's an inevitable conclusion to this what I don't like also is that it feels like just a week ago pev sent out this sort of uh message where he was saying things like oh what did he call him sing uh um sellout sellout sing name calling him basically saying like come on separate you know from from the Liberals and then it it's almost like sing fell for it and is that like an ego move then or was it an actual intentional move right and I'm not sure how I feel about that what do you think Emma well I think it is it's interesting it's like this name calling thing does definitely feel like reverberations from the US and that we're more comfortable throwing out this type of rhetoric that I think 10 years ago would have been seen as sort of uncool and sort of schoolyard play it does seem like that yes and I'm wondering why now we're comfortable with this and I just wonder why now for jug meat is this to do with pushing his own agenda forward is he trying to barter with the Liberals by sort of threatening stuff um so yeah it's just interesting timing and the whole thing kind of feels a bit um I don't know suspect I don't know Mel what do you think is is the timing to maybe okay let me go back one step you guys know on the show I often say America sneezes and Canada catches a cold why this timing is very interesting to me is as someone who's very um politically interested in what's happening in this country I'm also very politically interested in what's happening South of the Border and we know what's happening South of the Border and so the timing a as a Canadian voter I'm a little ticked off I do not want to go to the polls again I don't want to do it so soon having said that when you heard jug me sing's speech today all I heard was kamla Harris sneezes and jug meet Singh borrows parts of her speech oh interesting so timing is interesting because I heard words like hope the NDP is here to bring you hope we are here to build the middle class everybody else is just backing billionaires and corporate interests we have your back as the working people I hear you but also the way you just said it there I was more feeling like you were connected to your words than jug meat was I will say also for you yeah he wasn't saying it with his whole chest so again it's early days we don't know what's going to happen next he has time to sort of like put things together I but time I will say very quickly about time we as a voter I like to see what happens in American elections before I'm able to cast my vote with a clear mind so we were thinking that we would not have a general election in this country until maybe 2025 and that way that the American colle election can come and go on November the 5th and why America is our biggest trading partner what happens there matters to our economy Goldman Sachs just released a report last week that they predicted economists did that under a Harris government she would have a more successful economy in the states than under a trump government and so that matters to me as a voter that matters to me I want to know that before I vote right
