hyped up like me that that boy that man sequan Barkley looked insane we own Brazil I know Chris has been a fan of him even when he was a giant and he couldn't admitted Chris how are you feeling last night watching your boy deliver I mean this is exactly what I expected from saquon Barkley I know others didn't think he was gonna be this good you know Giants fans were already you know saying he sucks and all this but um sequan Barkley this is what he is he's just he we had a couple good backs over the last few years DeAndre Swift was a good back my sanders was a good back Sequon Barkley is a great back and the difference between a good back and a great back you saw it last night I mean that catch that he made in the end zone sure tremendous throw by Jaylen HZ there's only three or four running backs in the NFL who actually make that catch most running backs drop that so for him to make that catch for him to break through that 33 yard run was huge and I think if the turf wasn't terrible he might have scored on that um so you know just watching saquon Barkley run through guys it's amazing to say love to see it yeah it's it's insane and it's surreal I mean that was the biggest thing that Jack kept saying last night that I definitely could not stop agreeing with is we've seen saquon Barkley for so long like Dallas SCD said but we were used to seeing him in blue threads and now he looks fantastic in Eagles white Eagles green and he absolutely delivered last night we'll get into all this in a little bit we have a whole topic on sequan Barkley for you guys but we're also going to be talking about our Phillies a little bit about the the Sixers moving to Canden and a little bit more we got on tap KJ also can't be here today he is up at sequan Barkley's Alma modder today hanging out stay tuned for that follow him on Tik Tok I'm sure he's gonna be posting a ton of content there today for college football Saturday but man it feels good to have the job done on a Saturday waking up with both of your Philly sports teams winning Chris why don't you go ahead and take this one first I mean the Phillies just exploded last night offensively yeah they seem to be back clicking as a team overall again um you know guys right there Bryson Stott starting to hit he struggled the whole year he's starting to hit Johan roas is starting hit as a unit they are starting to come together Bryce Harper struggled we've known this but these these other guys are starting to pick him up Kyle SCH really really hot right now I think he's got like five home runs in his last four games or something crazy like that he's getting a ton of RB the team is just coming together Zack Wheeler another good pitching performance so this team is starting to roll again they're back to where they were earlier in the season and I know we're going to talk about the playoff odds here in in a second but they are really starting to play well and they're the team that we thought they were earlier so love to see what the Phillies are doing 16 runs last night they are the best team in baseball again um and they are eight games up over the Braves and Mets so what more can you ask for right now yeah and like I kind of um have thought too the Phillies are not always you know Chris has on the Phillies hat I got on the Eagles hat now Chris also watches both games all the time but Chris knows a ton about the Phillies he's definitely like the Phillies expert of the show I have putting all my focus into the Eagles because I'm not going to lie as soon as August first hits I'm like you know a [ __ ] squirrel but you'll be at the damn parade though I will be at the damn parade and I will be watching once they get to October it's a different kind of fandom too for amateurs we start to ramp it up I'm not gonna lie but it's gonna be it's gonna be a fun time because if anybody also took the Philly Philly parlay last night my problem was I had two bucks left over and I took it and like pay me like [ __ ] like seven or something maybe um but they just are both humming the eagles look great the Phillies from what I've seen have really found a way to put it back together they went through that rough patch where they didn't know what they were doing they were kind of in a dark room just [ __ ] fumbling around and knocking everything over and they had all this talent that they weren't really honing in on and utilizing and it feels like everybody's finally doing their job again I know Alec fo is not the best situation right now too but that'll get better we're going to take it day by day he's going to take it day by day and you know you got to understand too it's not always going to go perfect so you got to be great and not grateful for injury I'm saying but grateful for like okay it could be worse so the Phillies I think are actually in a really good spot heading into the postseason uh which actually gets us to our next topic which is the Phillies being the favorite to win the division at minus 2500 which is insane to me because they've been up down I feel like if I'm a Phillies fan I'm not taking this bet this is horrible odds because with our luck if you [ __ ] bet on this this team's gonna [ __ ] the bed so you Philly fans don't touch this I'm not touching it because you're gonna make $3 to jinx us and that's best case scenario worst case is you jinx us but I do feel confident that the Phillies like I said they're in a pretty good place I feel like physically and mentally you know they could have more injuries right now it could be worse um Alec bom is obviously you know your star player but it could be worse it could be worse so I think that they're going to end up closing out the division and then what will happen after that we'll see I don't know if I want them to be the one seed going into the playoffs because the past two years from the NL the one seed has gotten knocked out being the Phils last year and I think was it no it was the Braves or he the Braves were Dodgers last year and the Braves were Dodgers the year before and then the Phillies ended up getting knocked out one year too and they had expectations but long story short I'm trying to say is I don't want this team to have a buy I don't want this team to lose momentum uh I definitely think that that plays true in baseball and especially with this team and it's Mojo like these guys need to stay out there cranking the ball like a well-wheeled machine I don't need 16 runs every game but hey if they can go out every night and consistently put up five or six runs I think that they're going to go deep into the playoffs and then we'll see what happens after that yeah on the other side of that I hope they do get to buy um I just think you got the older guys like Bryce who's really hurting right now pretty bad schwarber like these guys they turn it on and they turn it on quick they know how to turn it on that doesn't worry me as much as like the Braves are a different team the Dodgers are different team they seem to do this every year the Phillies get hot in October so you know having that buy I think it'll actually help him because it'll give some guys some rest like both really needs the rest right now I mean he's on the I right now but he's still going to be banged up no matter what the whole team's banged up you get that extra five six days and you don't have to play a team there you're automatically in the divisional round um I I'd rather have that you know then then you win the divisional you're in the championship series then you're in the World Series it's one less uh place you got to go through so I'd much rather have that buy and not have to go through it so um I think the Phillies are just a different team than the Dodgers and Braves were not saying the Phillies are going to win the World Series not saying that but I think they have a better chance at not choking um unlike the Braves and unlike the Dodgers that HomeField Advantage Philly's got completely different completely different than those other scams no I love that take I mean I think I hope either way it goes well because they need to just win the games is the thing like at some point not going to matter if they have a buy it's going to matter what they do on the field um at the end of it so I hope that they can show up and that would be great if we can get you know that by because it takes the stress off of us fans too you know that and look I love watching playoff baseball but I would much rather get that you know p and having my [ __ ] heart rate and [ __ ] go up and down I know Chris is probably even more some because he's more of a fan than me I mean how do you feel about that would you rather have a game to watch or you're taking that I'm taking that buy in the NFL too I mean it's a bu I mean if you look at the last couple years they've they've gone cold like two games before it was time to win at all last year it like they went cold one game before the World Series the year before that they went two all they had to do was win two more games if you take away that three game series that extends it if that's what their their hot period is 12 games or so that's a World Series Championship so having that might actually Propel the Phillies more I mean they it there's so much that can go into it the Dodgers just got Yamamoto back so that's a whole another situation there you have to deal with so um I think the Phillies are close and that buy could be that difference it could not be too who knows yeah that buy I think could actually help them now that I'm thinking about about it second guessing because it's like the younger guys I'm worried about the daycare about them and Cassy I will say in all fairness day Care's had experience though at this point true I guess from their fuckups at this point one would hope one would hope because I love the daycare and I say that statement with love there will be some Philly fans out here that I know that get triggered by that but hey thank you Dennis I appreciate you if you guys aren't doing anything this afternoon come through to the 302 fantasy show where Dennis and Shawn are going to be giving you guys all that fantasy football voice so I just realized this is my girlfriend's pen don't bust my balls for it it's all we got in the house right now but first ever win in Brazil the Eagles fans represented so well as they always do our guy Philly sports guy represented so well as he always does and everybody looked awesome they looked great and it was an awesome game the one thing I'll say too before we get into this was this was a shootout unfortunately Jordan loves injury prayers up to him that's horrendous that was not good at all but when you look at this game this game was one of the most entertaining football games I think I've seen in a long time it had everything it had interceptions it had offense it had rushing touchdowns it had good offensive line play it had bad offensive line play it pretty much had everything that you could want and at the end of the day the Philadelphia Eagles Are Philadelphia Eagles figured out how to get the job done which is insane it's not easy to go anywhere else and play football let alone another country on a different time zone in a soccer stadium with different grass all led by sequan Barkley which we'll get to here in a second but I mean overall the team win I thought Reed blankin ship looked great shout out to Dennis I'm gonna bust his balls today yeah he looked insane I mean h how are you feeling about him Chris dude I've been on the re blanket ship train this whole time you're the one who [ __ ] talking him the offseason well I did I did in all fairness not to interrupt you on the postgame show last night there's video evidence so I have to pin it now maybe on this post I did say I'd like to submit my apology form to read blank and [ __ ] because I know I have been [ __ ] on him but I I'm off the I'm off the train now and he just has good instincts like there it's funny because there is one a pass or two before he got the interception where was a ball that like skipped up off the turf and he made like a snag against his his midsection here I'm like damn that's a nice little snag it was like it's nothing because it was wasn't even really a catch because it skipped off the turf but I'm like he's got a different type of ball instincts that we don't see from something other guys on this team like ncoe Dean ncoe Dean had a pretty good game yesterday but that intercept that dropped interception was awful that was a walking pick six ball was right in his hands and just dropped it you know and it's just it's not something you can really teach the these guys either have it or they don't and re blanket just seems to have good instincts where you know maybe the athleticism isn't there in some aspects but he just he's a good football player he's never going to be a superstar he's not a pro bowler and that's fine you don't need every single player on your defense to be a pro bowler um but I I think that that Bri blanket Chip's going to be just a solid second or third safety for you throughout the whole year so um I like what I saw from blankin ship there's some thing there's a lot of things that I didn't like from the defense I'm not sure if we want to get into that now or later but um I I liked a lot of what I saw from the defense but there's a lot that I didn't like from the offense too so um well yeah right now is definitely more of a general topic so if you want to go ahead and dive into it feel free bro so yeah um I didn't like the defensive line that much at all um I think that they came up short a lot their two sacks were from from Zack Bond who was a linebacker you know who played pretty well I mean he had a big Miss tackle too but um the the edge Rush was just not there sweat didn't do anything Nolan Smith didn't do anything Bryce Hoff didn't do anything and you know maybe that that could be a lot to do with the way the uh turf was because I didn't really see the edge of the of the Packers doing too much either besides when Jaylen Herz decided to run all the way out to the sideline um and basically run himself into a sack which whole different story we'll talk about that later um but yeah the defensive line The Edge Edge in in in particular wasn't great um Jordan Davis looked pretty good and so did uh Jaylen Carter but then I look at the safety play um Maddox sucks Maddox is garbage get him the [ __ ] out of here I don't want him to ever see the field again and Chanty gner Johnson looked like dog dog [ __ ] too and he's running his mouth post postgame which I am so [ __ ] done with that [ __ ] like you played like [ __ ] stop going out and running your mouth like yeah I know I couldn't make that tackle either but I'm not I'm also not paying eight million a year to make the those tackles so it wasn't just one it was multiple times where he's he's [ __ ] up in coverage just he just didn't look good at all looked frankly horrible so hopefully that's just you know it was a bad game out in the middle of [ __ ] Brazil like it's not hopefully it's not going to happen again but Shanty Gardner Johnson not great um I don't do you want to touch on the defense first and we'll go into offense after that sure yeah I mean I agree with pretty much everything you said uh the one thing I will say I'll be good cop a little bit I know usually Chris will be bad cop I'll be good cop Zack Bon like you highlighted earlier looked great overall and so did Dean um yeah everybody I'll say this everybody had a missed tackle so I will let the grass pass Rhymes the grass pass goes one I know you like pass grass but hey week one you guys get the grass pass you're good week two once you get home this slipping this getting burnt it's not going to be acceptable with with us Eagles fans so you guys need to get that shouldn't tack it that shouldn't shape I know I was listening to the pregame and Tony dunie said that the Eagles defensive backs did change their cleats before right before the game from like lower cleats to higher cleats so I'm sure the field was messed up it was some kind of fancy grass blend of turf that's like it's yeah it's like a soccer field or some sort but but overall I mean the Eagles whole defense everybody pretty much had at least one mistake so I'll give you guys the pass on that but at some point you got to figure out how to adjust to that like that needs to also be an eye opener because you know where you guys also didn't really adjust and it was a closed game at the end the Chiefs scheme you got lucky last night well I wouldn't even say lucky I would say you knew how to capitalize on the other team's mistakes they didn't really know how capitalized on yours and it was a game that I think we all knew whoever had the ball last was going to win and that was the case so Eagles looked great I thought once again uh unfortunate news for Jordan love he definitely I think I guess it got announced this morning he tore his ACL I think I saw somebody say that I'll have to I see AC I haven't seen anything yet they probably won't know until he gets back probably Monday after they do all the MRIs but I hope it's not bad because it's not bad well what would be sad is like it'll wind up being you know we're all gonna get talked about oh we we win it we we won this game in Brazil and we beat a four win Packers team because [ __ ] Malik Willis is gonna have to play the rest of the year I hope that's not gonna happen CJ look look at what our boy alex is saying from winging it he said CJ is going to change his personality to a piece I I get that it's also like why the [ __ ] are you talking [ __ ] after you got your ass exposed I do agree with that yeah it used to piss me off when he used to do it in Detroit from an opposing fan so I'm sure like Detroit fans are like shut the [ __ ] up like because that's how I was and look I love CJ GJ I love him as a player but if you have a bad game you don't got to be you know doing all that you can be supporting all your teammates but you got to know when to open your mouth and when not yeah I made some mistakes we still won the game talk [ __ ] that way but don't be like saying oh well you wouldn't make that tackle no I wouldn't make that tackle but like you don't have to go out and say it like he brings up the example of AJ Brown well it wasn't AJ Brown you were tackling it was [ __ ] Jaden Reed so um I don't Bowl you know talk your [ __ ] after you win the Super Bowl it's just like he did all that [ __ ] talking last year with with the Lions and he played like [ __ ] in that NFC Championship game and you know he I don't want to say he didn't cost his team the game whatsoever but he wasn't good in that game um and it it seems like he he talked he talked a lot of [ __ ] when he was here too so it's just it kind of is who he is but you know maybe he can tone it down a little bit at times and you know if you if you would have went out there yesterday and had three interceptions or a big interception that yeah the whole city will be behind you fine but he didn't like if if you talk the [ __ ] you gotta back it up too like every ifed if Ed blanket ship was out there talking [ __ ] hey he got a pick he won a game yeah out bit of different situation because he's a you know a guy who really wasn't even going to start until Devon white got hurt but um even like so like some of it just pisses me off to to an extent too like I think it was like the first or second play of the game quinan Mitchell makes a hell of a play breaks up breaks it up in the uh in the end zone and but he's he gets up in the receiver's face and it's like you got to chill we don't need a we don't need a penalty here you just made a hell of a play don't [ __ ] it up by getting a penalty and the same thing happened with with Jaylen Carter he got a penalty because he he got frustrated after he made a good play and got up in the defensive offensive lineman's face so you know maybe that stuff just needs to be calm down maybe it's just you know week one excitement playing a playing a good team um but we'll see how that progresses through the rest of the year but I could see that being a really bad thing happening later where it winds up costing them a football game and that's the last thing you need yeah a lot of them looked off but like I'll say too you get the pass week one everybody gets the grass pass and like Alex said here too saying you never want to vonte Maddox to see the field they the guys that had multiple mistakes get less of a pass because they know here like and they've been around like this is I know it's a new defensive coordinator it's a new system but like you're saying it's not like these guys are going against Devonte Adams anymore which I can I can vividly remember think avonte Maddox having a good game against Devonte Adams maybe but that was when he was a corner when they have him as a safety or it's just not he's not the same player he's not big enough to play there he's too small he he he's just he's not it there's a reason they caught him in the offseason before they brought him back because he wasn't good enough like I don't know why we keep trotting him out there play to jeene more like you drafted to jeene in the second round you're playing Aon locker room guys the one thing I will say and it sucks to say that and I know you don't care about that [ __ ] that locker room [ __ ] because they played the Phillies played that locker room [ __ ] with Garrett stubs last year and wind up losing him the playoffs so I'm done with the locker room [ __ ] right you can find players who can play that are locker room guys too I don't give a [ __ ] oh like sayquan Barkley I'm sure is a great locker room guy you know what he can do play football well so I'm yeah you know what and and you know what should be making Dallas got happy the big [ __ ] contract he has that is true well like I look I have a sweet spot for Avon Maddox look I love Avon Maddox as a person but yeah sometimes it's a business you got to just understand okay maybe this guy is not meant to play safety and he could very well go to another team as a corner and ball out end up you know being a good player because that's how it goes with the Eagles once they get rid of players uh but unfortunately I mean last night he just looked off I hope I'm wrong about that I'm not going to give up on him week one Alex I'll say but if next week he's having those mistakes I think I'll be pretty upset because there's an expectation with Maddox too like it's not that we just don't like him or this or that I I love him it's there's there's he just needs to be able to hang with these guys like qu Mitchell Isaiah Rogers Darius Slay um and the list goes on and on you know I can keep going because the Eagles have a plethora of corners and safeties now I mean that once people get healthy once Sydney Brown comes back too yeah like Dennis is saying here it's gonna be a plethora in the secondary so he really sh together you know you talked about some of those other guys like RX Ringo like those guys have a potential to get better madx is who he is madx isn't getting any better he's that's just he is who he is he's a small undersized safety who when he's put against bigger guys he's just not good enough so I I'm just I just don't see it with Maddox anymore you know maybe you have him as a backup to the backups but I just is it worth it keeping him over a guy like Ricks keeping him over a guy like Ringo like I'd rather see a guy like Ringo develop into that slot guy that you had for years to come because as we as you just mentioned Mitchell looked tremendous last night like Mitchell is your outside corner even you know Rogers is coming back hopefully this week I wouldn't put him back in the starting lineup I would keep Mitchell there just let Mitchell play and there's gonna be times Mitchell's gonna make mistakes Mitchell's gonna have pass interferences he's not g to be tremendous like but you know you're gonna have to deal with those growing pains and if you do he's going to be an elite elite corner for years to come man Brandon boyin that's a [ __ ] name I haven't heard in a while that is a name I haven't heard in a while um but give it to RX or give it to Ringo I I think letting one of those guys play you you're gonna have Growing Pains there as well but you also have the pains with Maddox playing too so I'd rather you know maybe see an upside out of it instead of um instead of seeing Maddox out there who just you know he's Maddox that's it yeah yeah I I get that because these younger guys have so much potential um and they need to you know make those mistakes to be able to get better so I'd rather those mistakes happen earlier in the season not saying that there's going to be a lot of them I think quinan Mitchell had one play last night the rest of the game he looks like an NFL veteran so it's nice to see that the guys that they invested their capital in I think a lot of people EX for Dean yeah except for well give it time with him I was gonna say because the Eagles invested a lot of capital into the secondary as a whole this whole off season so nice to finally see it pay some dividends another piece that they invested a lot of capital in was getting that running back that rumbling man sayquan barley out of Penn State and man Giants fans hey I just want to say must [ __ ] suck to be a [ __ ] Giants fan right now because oh my God you guys are just watching this guy basically go could have done this there suck it all you out they're both younger QBs and that happened sequan had that first run and he like fell flat on his space and everybody like that was at our watch like oh [ __ ] and I'm like here we go again yeah here we go again yeah 2.0 and everybody's like no don't even say that I'm like I'm kidding and we all knew it was just a matter of time until he got humming this offensive line got humming and as a whole as a team they just went off the one thing I will say too before I let you take it cam Jurgens needs to get his [ __ ] together that communication was not there we'll get that is that that is Nick serion fault for not playing these guys in the [ __ ] preseason I I do like that take which we can get to that next here in a second but I just want to say I did want to you know highlight the realism of Cam Jurgens but I want to say after that mistake I thought cam Jurgens played well as a whole I thought he got a [ __ ] together and you know he's gonna hopefully eventually be that Kelsey 2.0 but what I'm trying to say is when he can be that guy that's boom upfield boom upfield can lay those blocks it's gonna be insane because they did have that one hole for Barkley that he went I think it was in between the center and the Right Guard or maybe it would have been the right tackle in the Right Guard I think it was the center in the Right Guard so I think it was and yeah [ __ ] Jurgens and he they open that hole so this is gonna be a [ __ ] beautiful thing now that he finally got a line yeah yeah it it looked really good last night and um there was a few losses he had there but for the most part you know you give him the ball he's going to get you four or five yards in and just like that last Drive where he almost scored on that last one which I still think he may have gotten in um but he just he wears teams down the catching ability he has it's just un it's it's it's uncanny to what they've had before and now you give a guy in Kell Moore you know he had ackler who was good good in the past game not great in the Run game before he had Ezekiel Elliott who is pretty good in the Run game pretty good in the p game but Squan is great at both you have a talented dual threat running back wide receiver combo that you can go to at any moment and it's just he's he's fast he's quick he's strong it's just he is like the prototypical if you were to ask for something you know the speed from one guy strength from another like the speed from let's see who who's a really fast running back leag see just like you take a good thing from every fast as DeAndre Swift who's a pretty fast running back in the league fast as DeAndre he's maybe not quite as strong as Derrick Henry but he's strong as [ __ ] he's right there with him yeah he's got the receiving ability of a CMC or you know an Eckler so he's got that that every part of it except for the injury history which which we worry about which you know that two-minute drive there before half he wasn't in there because we think he might have been hurt so um I I do I would like to see them mix in a couple Shipley runs more there a couple more gamew runs you know I think 24 might be a little too many carries for sequan if we want to let him you know last throughout the whole season but the three touchdowns just you can't can't argue with that you can't argue with the results um he just he's a good running back it's just so he is and the one thing I like that you just alluded to Chris was they gave sequan his takes they gave him the ball they gave him the ball in the end zone in the goal line as they should there was a lot of questioning in the offseason of will they utilize saquan there they will that's what last night the Eagles showed their cards that it's going to be a saquan Barkley season but the one thing I'll say too is I don't think saquan could ever you know have a thing like an injury I don't even want to say that but you're right about getting gainwell and these other guys like Shipley the ball because if God forbid something like that ever happens you want these guys to be conditioned with NFL snaps and also don't put don't put saquan out there with more you know uh potential to get hurt you know you don't need to use him 24 times a game like Chris said you can put him out there I think 17 15 times and be fine and then once you get to the playoffs then he can have these games like this where you can lean on him I think saon Barkley is also in his prime right now of his career the Eagles got him like for the perfect I think it's a three-year stretch with the contract technically is they got him like that money worth that they got that's it's a bargain for both sides saquon's able to stay in Jersey Eagles are able to get him at his prime I mean it's a win-win yeah um one one last thing I want to talk about with the with the Eagles before we move on a little bit um the the offensive line and the tush push it's just it's it's different and I'm not sure if they can run it like anymore um Jurgens just doesn't seem to get low as as low as Kelsey did now maybe I I want to hopefully chalk this up to you know being the first time that they've really ran this um in a real game but that worries me that Jurgens isn't the uh guy we need at Center but um are we GNA talk about Herz a little bit too after this uh yeah we are so getting into that I mean how did you feel about his decision making overall uh not great honestly uh I I looked there was stat last night his last 18 games he's got 23 turnovers way way too many you know in the Super Bowl run he had what seven interceptions total he had 15 last year two last night already like he's got to be better with the football and I think the prime example of it was that third and 13 along the goal line last night they kick a field goal they go up by five he decides to go roll out to the right throw across his body into the end zone and get picked off can't do that you just can't do that and I'm tired of hearing oh he's developing quarterback developing quarterback he's in his fifth year now I don't know how much more development you're really going to get so he's got to chill on the interceptions um chill kill on the the running out to the right every single time and not only does he run out to the right he runs all the way back too so when he's throwing he's throwing another 10 yards back and across his body like if if he's gonna roll out at least roll out and go towards the line of scrimmage and if it's not there either take off or throw it away I feel like it takes too long for him to make that decision he needs to be quicker with that decision um either either throw it or you don't like but the taking the sacks the running all the way across his body it's just it's annoying to me and I hope hopefully it's just first game Jitters and he's gonna get over it new offense but these decisions that he's making are just not good it's not good and they're lucky that they won that game and he did make some good plays in that game I'm not gonna the talent is there I think that's what's so frustrating is he can be that quarterback and we've seen him be that quarterback but it feels like there's some regression here ever since that Super Bowl last year or not like the year before well you hit the nail on the head too Chris he can't be [ __ ] running across the field having those throws across his body playing hero ball like Carson Wentz did that was when Carson Wentz started to have his downall that's what reminding did too much yeah exactly so I think that once her settled in yeah he got his rhythm he's like okay I'm getting too excited I need to calm down he looked good that first half especially though he he needed to settle in and you can't can't have that in the NFL even in the first game you can't you got to be a professional like look at somebody like momes you know and I'm not saying everybody's perfect I'm just saying you got to be smarter about some of those decision makings because there were a couple of throws man that were in triple double coverage in the beginning of the game some of the catches Devonte Smith just made because he's small which iy I get it man I'm smaller too I remember backyard football sometimes being small you can go right in that tight window get the ball go right down don't touch you know what I mean like it's actually an advantage in some ways being smaller in in tight windows so Devonte Smith was getting some of those catches in traffic but it's still like dude what are you doing putting the ball like right there like you have this like drag route opener you have your running back open and he did have that beautiful throw I'll say to sequan Barkley on the wheel route that they utiliz for the touchdown Which was phenomenal that's the decision making I want to see but yeah can't be chucking it up like that one throw to Devonte Smith when he was in double coverage and it was almost picked in the beginning of the game it's like what are you looking at what are you throwing at and he's he's getting excited because he's getting rushed but you you can't just Chuck it there and I know you trust your receivers but not in double coverage like that not D decisions like that let me ask you another thing does he look slower to you because he doesn't he's got the same speed that he had I think he he's I'll say this I don't think he looks slower because when he took off he takes off I think he's waiting longer to take off which isn't a bad thing I think that they said to him this year like hey I want your primary like pass the [ __ ] ball like don't [ __ ] around that like like don't be running the ball you know because they're GNA figure that out eventually they're gonna put down a spy in the playoffs and that's only so good so long look at what happened to the Ravens the year that Lamar won the MVP yeah point being I will say if Jaylen Herz did he gain any weight this year I don't think he did maybe like 10 pounds he doesn't look he's what 240 yeah as if he doesn't look as athletic as he was now I don't I think he's just looking more to run the ball but go ahead take it why do you think that I just it doesn't maybe it's just an indecisiveness or he's just holding the ball longer which I'm not sure is good with Jaylen Herz I think Jaylen Herz is better when he gets rid of the ball quickly and doesn't have too much time to think um I don't know it's not that he doesn't know how to read a defense I think he just like overthinks it too much instead of you know making that quick throw or making decision it's like I feel like that's more what they need to do is just have him go and make this decision quicker it almost feels like you know with when same thing with Carson Wentz when they give Carson Wentz too much time to do things that's when he [ __ ] up it's like just let him go like stop trying to force the extra 15 yard pass or whatever you can take that five yard pass you can take that dump off and and some of those dump offs to saquon Barkley might wind up being a 1520 yard gain instead of that little three or four yard gain so like there there was a time too where they were driving down it was to I think it was right right before the this the half ended um he took a sack where he ran backwards and it wind up being second and six where if he would thrown away it would have been second and 10 10 the clock would have been stopped um and they may have scored a touchdown there they might have scored a touchdown anyway but still like um it's just not the same got to be better it's got to be better and it's early so yeah there were definitely some sloppy mistakes and even though it's early like you said there's no excuse for it that's one thing that neither of us will be good C about one of the better football teams in they still beat one of the better football teams in the NFC definitely I think I think one of the better teams in the NFL I would say Packers are a top eight team in my opinion yeah now we'll see what Jordan love like if Jordan loves hurt that team is a bottom team in the league but yeah it's shot he he led that team he was really and a lot of people say that he's not that guy like Jack said Jack laid into love last night he's like he's not that guy he wasn't that good last night though and he doesn't deserve this contract and look I'll say he didn't really deserve that contract after a half season but they did it anyway and here's the thing I'll also say as much as we may not want to admit it the Packers always figure it out with QBs they've only had like [ __ ] three of them since 1960 so I'm kidding like they've had like six but seriously it's insane of how they develop QBs them with QBs and the Steelers with wide outs I don't know what the [ __ ] it is but both of those teams just have something in their drafting with them yeah yeah I agree but overall I mean I will say Jaylen Herz did have a couple great throws and I think a lot of that's thanks to Kell Moore I just wanted to say that really quick too on our way out of here I think Kell Moore called a great game overall motions were great the Motions exactly like when I saw that throw to AJ Brown it reminded me of that touchdown catch that AJ Brown had against the Saints on New Year's two years back when he just took off and the reason I remember it is AJ Brown was running so fast that the pixels on my screen there were like two AJ Browns he was running that fast it was insane and I remember at the Saints game it was the same route of him coming across the field like a Crossing play action and he just took the ball and housed it and it's like holy it's like you feel like you're watching Julio Jones and yeah that Julio Jones ways more like yeah Julio was slim AJ Brown is [ __ ] built he's he's insane it's like [ __ ] Wolverine out there in an eag uniform because this dude was just he was Trucking Trucking and he was that fast like you like Jer Alexander was a pretty damn fast corner and he ran away from him like that was just that touchdown allog together that that throw the catch everything was just that was a really damn good play at a half and that that's where they kind of took over the game um I'm like okay they might actually win this one um but you know that was a really good play there and the other one with the motion was the the saquon Barkley touchdown you had you had um doson and and uh it was either Smitty or AJ clear out to the other side and left that wheel route open for for Barkley That's a scheme thing they schemed Smith open multiple times last night these these things are things that they didn't do last year that can really benefit them this year and with you you start scheming your stars open you're going to you're going to win a lot of football games this year you could tell that Kell Moore came with a plan he had plays ready for those four like and that was really nice to see because last year it was like Brian Johnson looking at like Nick serani and Jay Leonard's like oh yeah what are we doing like and it's like no you're the offensive coordinator take the bull by the horns use your players strengths like you can ask for their opinion I'm not saying that's a bad thing but you should be the leader you should be the executive you should be the one at the end of the day calling the Final Shots pushing the buttons and he was last night like I said I mean 34 points on that Packers team is not an easy feat ran Gary great defensive rusher he was coming for herz's head last night and the fact that they still were able to put up that the thing I will say on our way out of here too I'm a little bit salty about my bets dude I had a parlay it was like 10 bucks it would have paid 300 I had saquan first TD Jaylen Herz over 278.50 passing yards he had 278 so if he would have had one more yard and then an eagles to cover by two points so I was this close so Jaylen please get your decision making ready for next week just for for your old friend's standpoint I know you don't give a [ __ ] about my bet because you're an NFL player but I mean it's very frustrating from that point but I will say he also had a great game I mean 278 yards against the Packers that's no easy feat so shout out to Jaylen Herz because even though there were bad things there were good things so I know he's probably already watching all the film on the flight home I I placed a bet well at least I thought I placed a bet a 10 legger that would have hit and then I go back in my app when the game started I'm like [ __ ] it never went through like H oh that's the worst I'm pretty short hit too that that's what sucks even worse I think it was like 10 bucks to win 150 but I'm like oh I didn't go through but this team is gonna get a lot of bets this year between saquin and Jaylen I think anytime TDS between the two of them and stacking them you're pretty safe as an Eagles
