That whole state saw some serious storms there when we feel for them. But we know we have some of our own storms on the way is not right. Said right? >> The yes, we do. And I'll tell, you know, we see that video like that. We always try to remind folks turn around, don't drown. Of course, it sounds like a simple statement, but we see it every, Don. That's what happens. If you don't turn around those cars usually stall out and creates a more expensive problems for you at the very least. All right. Let's get you outside to some folks enjoying some nice weather, the silver, Utah Lake, but hopefully they're keeping an eye to the sky. And also on the ABC 4 weather app because we've got some pop-up showers and storms that are developing out there and they could cause you to need to make your way from the lake to inside to seek shelter. We've got a couple isolated storm chances across the Beehive state today. So not expecting severe weather with that being said, take a look at this shot. This was sent there from Cameron from South Jordan and around the West Shore near. You can see this is what we call a land spout. So it's got the land spout. The difference between that and a tornado is basically the rotations starts from the ground and makes its way up as opposed to from the sky, making its way down to the ground but still hate as that would like to say it's nothing to sneeze at folks who you see these things here. If you're driving, you see the spinal taking place because it can be scary. And while we don't see major damage, usually with these things, they can be definitely concerning out there. Now, here's another view of some of the storm activity from earlier day. This is sitting in for Scott Taylor and Magnan. You can see heavy rain coming down there with this as well. But notice the blue sky. So that could show you how quickly in this type of the weather pattern at the conditions can change out there. So to get over to follow on radar, smattering of showers across the Beehive state right now, some of the most intense activity. Some thunderstorms developing here just to the West and southwest of the Milford area. This continues to kind of percolate and jumped off towards the north here just to the west of Milford. We've got a few more storms here. A couple of small isolated cells here just south of Salt Lake City and over towards the Draper area. And then a couple of bigger storms here over portions of 2 La County and down towards the southwest. So we're going to be watching these areas because as we go throughout the evening, we're gonna get a little bit more of a push of moisture coming in and that could be enough to spark even more storms, especially across the northern half of the state going into the evening hours. So skipping ahead from today into tomorrow. Notice not only do we have the general threat of seeing some pop-up showers and thunderstorms, but there's that dark green showing up. So that means a couple of the storms could become severe brief lumet, some hail, some gusty winds. And again, some very heavy rainfall. So futurecast shows us between now and early evening. Notice all the activity starts to organize across North Western half of the state as this area of low pressure approaches from the West. And you'll see that even heading into about 10, 11 o'clock. We could be seeing some heavy rainfall. Some rumbles of thunder moving into portions of the cash valley down towards the Wasatch front of this activity just on through. We get a break early tomorrow morning and then notice going into your Tuesday. We get more storms popping up a little more coverage and intensity. And that's why a couple of these could be on the strong to severe side. Is that low pressure moves back to our north. The good news is by Wednesday that front moves through and we start to dry things out with that northwesterly flow coming in across the area and we'll actually see a little taste of fall out there. Speaking of folic or September 1st, is the unofficial start testing neurological start to fall out there. And we typically average high temperature around 87 this time of the year. By the end of the month, we average a high temperature in the mid 70's and Salt Lake City. So that gives you something to look forward to. Sadly, as we look past this storm system that moves through on our Tuesday, bringing us that chance of showers and storms. We get that brief little taste of some fall like weather and then another high pressure summer ridge bills and which means all the cool air goes up and around us and we stay baking with the heat as we head towards the upcoming weekend. Temperatures into the triple digits as we go throughout the rest of this week. In fact, up to near 104, by the time we get towards Saturday. So not really feeling like fall. And then you can see along the Wasatch Front. Yeah, we've got the chance of scattered storms for your Tuesday will keep a close eye on that one or 2 of those could pretty some lightning and some gusty winds. So we'll watch it.
