Can you make $500 a day as Uber driver in Calgary, Canada?

yeah yeah and it's all kinds of all kinds of people the other day kinds of people yeah the other day a guy picked me up in a in a Lexus and I said how do you how do you make money driving an Uber in a Lexus Lexus you know like a real expensive he takes more gas right no but it's just it was you know inside it was all leather it's like a luxury car right so I think you and Toyota Camry yeah you make you make more money we can't say it depends it will make some money well I talked to a guy recently yeah he moved from Ontario right he was saying when he was in Toronto he was making 500 a day really yeah so now he says he came here he says too many immigrants everybody becomes Uber and he says nobody said it it did take him 12 hours like he worked 12-hour shift in Toronto he could make 500 but that was like last last year or the year before and then he moved here and he says yeah at first it was okay but now he says no he says 200 bucks that's what he said buy gas from number what can you make can you make like a thousand a week it's Sunday did I was nine hours ten hours every day like seven days for seven days it's possible oh yeah but if you work just five days you cannot make thousand bucks okay we we're going to Skyview Ranch right yeah oh you want to take what like Highway two from there right I I spent I was I lived in Cambridge Ontario okay just uh you know hour west of Mississauga there but I was a trucker all right so I was a trucker truck driver yeah I had I had my own I had my own truck my own trailer and the one of the reasons I left is because I didn't have a a house oh these are very expensive day yeah and I started looking for a rental and one bedroom was 2500 that's it twenty five hundred and then I look here I I went on a trip through us like I visited all these Parks you know Yellowstone Park it was a very nice time off like a holiday after I sold my truck so I had some money I got a nice camera and I was doing some photography it was amazing and then I ended up in Kalispell Montana you know Kalispell Montana basically you know where the border is with the U.S yeah if you go south like all the way to U.S border in Coots Montana yeah yeah good I mean yeah yeah and then actually there's another border crossing to west of that and that's you went to Montana and then maybe one hour and you are in Glacier National Park yeah that's the town is called Kalispell okay so that was yeah that was I had a friend one of my YouTube one of my YouTube fans he was uh invited me he says hey I can show you around and so I I was there in my car so I drove 3000 kilometers [ __ ] from Cambridge yeah I crossed the border into us in Buffalo New York yeah which is Buffalo New York yeah Fort Erie Ontario then I drove West all the way from Buffalo New York to Montana and then I ended up there and I'm thinking okay shall I go back to Ontario but there's nothing there for me I don't have a family and I looked at prices in Alberta and I found this you know condo 180 000 one bedroom condo okay like next oh no it's uh I bought it 180 000. yeah yeah they wanted like 181 when I said how about 175 they said you're crazy so we greeted once once 179 so but Canadian right so imagine in Ontario you can never buy apartment it would be like half a million easy and so and that's why I moved here you know I usually it's good for you because you're a trucker you can move to anywhere anytime it doesn't matter it's for you right no no but I sold my truck so you stood your truck yeah yeah that's why that's why you want to buy another truck no not really I just now I came here and they asked me they said you know what do you want to do about your license because I had AZ or class one yeah and I said I don't want to deal with medicals I said give me something where I don't have to do Medicals too often and she says class five I said deal yeah so she yeah she just took she just took my interior license and did some paperwork I think they charged me like 100 bucks yeah yeah and she gave me a temporary Alberta license and then the real one came in the mail like two weeks later you know but it's of course now even if I want to let's say work like you you know Uber I cannot do it because I have class class five yeah yeah but somebody actually I was talking to one guy yeah and then you have to take a test you have to do computer tests driving tests like last one America you know when you're more than 45 years somebody like me right every two two years in America yeah that's why I don't I don't want it but then actually I was talking to another Uber guy and he said uh something about April he says April Uber should would allow class four class five I think so that's what they say I don't know because they're saying there's too many people you know comment they want to work but they don't have uh commercial license yeah is the transport the transport gas says people don't really migrate class five don't get Advanced but five you there so okay well buddy if they it'll be more difficult for you to make money but it makes money a game yeah because yeah there'll be more drivers I have five guys my friends they couldn't get class four they would have been driven over now but now when everybody when they say two more class four everybody drives for everybody drives you does it oh yes oh you have friends they don't do it they want to do it but they want to do it but they couldn't get the class four ah all right now they are waiting they are waiting to fall they are waiting for the for everybody to everybody comes in yeah I'll start driving over but nobody makes money again yeah but what about you know food delivery can you maybe make more money delivering like skip the dishes something like that right yeah I think I read somewhere I think uh door Dash pays a higher Commission than Uber you know like uber Foods is crazy yeah door Dash and skip the dishes I think oh and skip the dishes you don't need class four because you just don't need anything just your driver's license don't drive yeah because you're just moving you're just carrying food right it's carrying food delivery and I think your insurance is cheaper because I don't think you need liability insurance yeah but then you know what you can do if you like driving one more way to make money here is be become a pilot pilot driver you know uh oversized load pilot driver yeah it's like you know when somebody's moving a big machine like an excavator if it's oversized means it's too wide or Too Tall then they need uh sometimes they need a escort yeah it's like a pickup truck and it has a sign oversized load or Flags yeah but you need a 4x4 vehicle you need like a pickup truck or SUV no but I'm telling you I was thinking myself about this when I moved here but then I decided to become a freight broker right so now I just work from home yeah but also my class five they would not allow me you need commercial license but I'm pretty sure you can make more money as uh if you do pilot escort you can make more money because over here Alberta there's a lot of you know oversized loads yeah yeah you know the big machines right whenever they whenever they move uh excavators dozers yeah yeah and then you know you just find a broker they have Brokers they do this and they say Hey you know just tell me where to go to get training and you do a course online I think and that's it yeah it's called escort pilot driver yeah because yeah once they allow class five they're gonna be much more drivers foreign people are not even making money people are complaining they want to bring in every driver in Calgary to drive Uber that's the end of the ground that is the end right all right yeah
