[Applause] let he from him now well fnae what a win collapsing on the floor right at the end there show just how much it meant to you the crowd behind you every step of the way folks he was amazing just describe to us how special that one was for you today incredible incredible you guys were unbelievable I mean he's 11 in the world and I felt all the support so was incredible thank you so much for coming out 4 hours in this extreme heat against let's be honest one of the best tennis players in the world on your Instagram you describe yourself as a part-timer but I would say you're not a part-timer today having to work hard against a very very good player yeah I mean hell of a player I had a five set battle with him a couple years ago in Australian Open and I was expecting a war it was it was physical out there I have a tendency to sometimes drag these matches on and have some really long battles but just Tred to stay focused stay the course I mean your guys support was incredible um just tried to play every point and I've had a couple a lot of tight losses when I've been in winning position so that one's just all relief and yeah it meant a lot so super excited yeah you've spoken before about having to be mentally strong on the court you've had your fair share of five Setters thankfully today for for your sake it wasn't a five Setter and of course you played with Stephanos in doubles already this year you know a lot about his game and it all seemed to come together and work pretty well today yeah I mean Steph's a great guy um we share that Greek background as well play doubles within Miami uh hell of a player you know been at the top of the game for so long now so yeah I'm just trying to uh I missed a lot of my career through the middle period so I'm just trying to make up for whatever I have left and just uh just keep hustling and see how we going [Music] listen listen you're only 28 years of age we see players going well into their 30s this year you've beaten Felix or shim you've beat him on Feast you've now beaten Stephan o it feels like when things going your way you can beat anyone in the world I have the ultimate belief in my game uh I felt like my body was holding me back for a long period of time um but everyone's so good here you know stack top to bottom honestly number one player to the world to 200 everyone everyone's a really good player and if you're not bringing your best you can lose on any given day so not taking it for granted just trying to just trying to go as well as I can and and put as much effort into this sport as I have i' maybe taken it for granted a little bit in the past when I was a bit younger so just giving it a go and uh yeah it's it's this is why you play to play in front of you guys on big stadiums in massive cities so yeah incredible feeling it seems like you're feeling a bit emotional after this one I think we can see the replay of your match point up on the big screen in a moment when you collapse to the ground just talk to us again finally about that feeling and about how big a moment this is for you here at the US Open yeah I mean a bit embarrassing doing it after a first round but I'll take it um you know every match means a lot sometimes so yeah I mean that's early in the set so I don't know really what to do yeah bit of an Overkill first set but I'm just trying to enjoy it as much as I can and play on my terms play aggressively cuz if I just leave it to him uh he's going to put me away so yeah thanks again for the support hopefully I can keep going and uh yeah see you on uh Thursday you've been out for 4 hours we let it go on let's hit it one more time for theie konakis amazing win
