The committee choosing to endorse one sole candidate, the incumbent mayor of San Francisco, London Breed, and the endorsement is a win for breed, who faces other high profile candidates, many of whom are challenging her over the current state of the city and its issue, including sheltering the unhoused, the increasing office vacancies across the city, and the opioid crisis. Breed has announced her plans to address the city's biggest issues, including her own vision to revitalize downtown, which has been plagued with an exodus of commercial business. That area is responsible for 70% of the city's jobs. Now, Mayor Breed sat down recently to discuss this with our own Marcus Washington, as well as other issues in San Francisco.
