a UNCC student is back on planet Earth tonight with some incredible bragging rights earlier today she became the youngest woman ever to travel into space at just 21 Carson kitchen was part of a six-person blue origin crew traveling to space at 2300 M an hour the mission lasted only 15 minutes including 4 minutes of weightlessness we spoke with her tonight after she touched down in Texas near the launch site she said her life changed the moment she crossed into space and saw Earth in zero graph it's this incredible white fluorescent blue Beating Heart of an earth and it and it has this Aura to it uh this bubble the this wisp of an atmosphere that takes care of you and gives you everything you need H and to see our beautiful planet truly just changes your perspective on how lucky we are wow now kitchen's passion for space exploration runs in the family her father Jim kitchen is a UNC Professor he also went on a mission into space back in 2022 she has a lot to say you remember I say at a party so Carson what you do over the summer H went in space I mean daughter and dad you you just can't outdo that duo at this point that's awesome
