Well Jack well played a very dominating performance from you today something we're getting used to you uh doing here at the US Open this year it's the third match You've Won in straight sets against a very handy player you must be very pleased with that win yeah um first of all I think um btic played an incredible match against Carlos it's not always easy to go on that big stage and uh play such a player like Carlos and and then come out the next round and and feel really good uh because it's just so tiring put in that situation so um credit to him uh I thought I played a a solid match today it was uh a little bit Scrappy a little bit up and down but um I got through in the end and um thank you guys for the support you know being on this court again was amazing and of course Jack you know what it's like to to beat Carlos arz you beat him in Queens a little bit earlier it's been a great year for you you ranked a career high of 25th in the world of first title for you this year as well things going very well he are you pleased with your progression and and and way your tennis is at at the minute yeah 100% um last year I had a a tough year with injuries and this year I've been able to to stay on court to compete all the time on on the tour against the best players in the world and um you know this is this is what I put all the hard work in to to play in front of you guys on on the biggest stages in the world so um I'm really really happy and uh grateful for all the all the great people around me and uh we uh we keep wanting more yeah and there's something um about the way you seem to play in New York it's the furthest run you've ever made in your grand slam career last year fourth round again you've done it this year what ises it about playing in New York that seems to bring out your best tennis do you think yeah I think the the conditions of the courts um you know I love the courts here they're sort of they fast but they're also slow at the same time um and just the energy I get from the the crowd the people supporting me you know coming to practice all this sort of stuff you know this is this is what uh the the players work so hard for is to to come out here and play in front of you guys so it's really special to be able to get support every time I play well it's great to see you driving in New York and I think before the tournament started you got out and about and explored in Manhattan a little bit as players you try to take some T downtime don't you as a Britain New York have you got any favorite spots is there anywhere you like to go to unwind here in man Manhattan um not particularly no it's just that just just the hotel room honestly playing playing these five set matches is is is so hard honestly so every every little uh moment we get to rest and recover for the next round is is really important um but yeah always trying find new places for dinner and that sort of stuff and um yeah just enjoying my time not having to work so hard on the court good man well listen get some rest you're through to the fourth round again well played Jack appreciate it
