Let's get you back over to Jim and photojournalist Addie Hill at the fairgrounds. Jim. Have you gotten to check out anything cool yet? Well, we were back with the livestock just a little bit ago, but now we've made our way around to where there's gonna be, uh, a real main event kind of show here this morning. The, the, uh, annual Co Commodities Breakfast gonna be happening just a little bit later a couple hours from now. And of course, I've got the agriculture commissioner, Jonathan Shell with me this morning. First off, we were talking a little bit off camera. This is, you're not new to the Commodities Breakfast, but this is your first one as commissioner? And that's got pretty special for you. Yeah. Very exciting. Um, to be here as commissioner this morning to get to talk to everybody. Um, you know, this is kind of the unofficial start of the state fair. You know, we have a ribbon cutting and all the things a little bit later today, but this is where, uh, Kentucky Agriculture comes together to celebrate the beginning of the Kentucky State Fair and we're really excited, uh, that everybody's gonna be coming out today and we're gonna have a beautiful day. We're gonna have a lot of great food that's gonna be here. Uh, if you've never had fish for breakfast there, there'll be a lot of people getting to have it this morning. So, there we go. Now, this is, you mentioned, this is the kickoff, the real kickoff to the Kentucky State Fair. How excited are you to be able to kick off? What is now Kentucky State Fair? 120? It's so special and for us to have this be 100 and 20 years having 100 and 20 counties and celebrating all of Kentucky's 120 counties is, is truly special. Um Kentucky State Fair is the showcase of Kentucky E CO and that if your viewers are here and I encourage everyone that's watching to try and get here to the state fair, August 15th through the 25th. This is Kentucky's showcase of the agriculture that we have in the state. It's the culmination of all the award winners and the prizes and it's, it's truly remarkable how advanced we are now in agriculture and, and this is the showcase of it and watching the breeds and the genetics and seeing the kids show the livestock. It's truly amazing and we've got all kinds of programs that we could talk about that are coming up over the next 10 days. It's gonna be a 10 day, a whirlwind of a 10 days out here at the Kentucky State Fair. But again, it all kicks off with the commodity breakfast. As the commissioner said, come out, you just look for that fish being served for breakfast a little bit unique there. But of course, it's something that we all look forward to and enjoy Eric and Grace. It's a delicacy somewhere, right? I it's gotta work, Jim. Thank you so very much. And thanks to the commissioner, we've got details on ticket prices, parking and everything in between. In our Kentucky State Fair guide. You can have it too. Just text the word fair to 502582 7290.
