Georgia vs Clemson Film Study: Carson Beck MUTILATES Tigers! + Best Kirby defense since 2022?

Georgia Bulldogs vs Clemson Tigers let's go we are in Vegas for LSU USC but guess what Georgia fans I got to show you some love after one of the best performances I understand the first half was crazy but man look at this 1st Quarter protection to start things off you know you got to double Mel Williams the dude's a freaking monster and it's just freaky these five stars that Kirby brings in this is KJ Balden you guys remember him at a Buford man that's Big Time Players making big time plays and I love seeing athleticism when player just pops right back up that's nasty really really really nice design I understand six points in the first half is not that great but this Clemson defense is really good Jet Sweep good block right here by Oscar Delp good job I think what is that is that lucky right there that's another good block down the field and he give the fastest player on the team the football obviously you would have liked this block right here from Robinson to be a little bit better okay it's a really good play by the Clemson DB uh but because Smith had so so much momentum he's able to fall forward and Carson back man he really got it going obviously didn't have etn didn't have some other pieces you know you're adjusting after not having Rahat tamasu is solid but the one thing I I'll say and it kind of confirmed for me and I don't know if anything was open down the field the camera angle is too tight but George's wide receivers it's it's a weakness I I I'm not going to say it's a weakness obviously Georgia has strong everything but that is one area where I feel they're just okay but the main thing is what a run by Carson back and Mike bubble got it going in the second half but goodness gracious I hate this play call I really really really do on Third and eight okay nothing over the middle of the field a lot of longer developing stuff that just covered okay and I hate having receivers in the same spot I think someone didn't R run the right route or whatever but there's just nothing nothing yeah one of the best throws of the day was Carson backck I mean this twist stunt does not get picked up and this is what you don't want okay you do not want this and you know that is leading with the helmet I I understand you know you can't really hit anybody anymore but that is leading with the helmet I felt like that should have been a penalty but good DB let's show Kade kubik who by the way it's just not it he did have this absolutely positively ridiculous throw want you to see though that this protection was okay and this was the best throw of the freaking day I mean look at this location God that's good coverage man I love me some Dylan Bell probably my favorite player on this Clemson offense because he's the only 2nd Quarter receiver that's willingly uh a scholarship guy that doesn't mind wearing a jersey number in the 80s old school style baby hit him in the slant bang really good ball location on the second and 16 it was so good that you allowed Bell to run after the catch and he almost broke this tackle to score good stuff sometimes the other team just makes plays okay so at the snap this guy does back out and uh Beck elects to go to the smash side okay so lower route here corner route here okay this obviously been a concept that Georgia has run for plenty of touchdowns could that have been thrown no there's just nothing open okay so Carson Beck doesn't he has a pocket that's good enough to read backside and this ball could have gotten here but I also understood his logic here middle of the field is wide open okay so he's thinking about trying to run through here and I understood it right but this Clemson defensive line is really freaking good uh rutage gets off the double right here if he would have stayed with it I think Beck could have found a way through it but 11 does a good job fending off the sack and uh fending off the The Tackle and makes a good play we'll see it right here okay is that throwable I guess it might be but man is Clemson defensive line put on a show I mean they really did in this first half okay and let's see could could this have been ripped it's a little cut off I don't know if that could have been ripped though I really don't cuz that that backer is running really hard right there uh so just give Clemson credit for some good Red Zone D all right here we go Nate Frasier freshman matter day high school George and2 Personnel look at this cut I mean this is really good stuff okay he sees that nothing's there cut up field get vertical okay that's a really good run then another jump cut to run into this space that's some really really sexy running I mean Carson Beck what else can you really say about this guy I mean honestly he sees it the split Zone's not there Clemson was just prepared for this Georgia's been killing teams and a lot of teams have been killing teams running that play So back there is just nothing right you don't want to throw this and get your guy killed and then look at the creativity seven keeps his eyes off of bell and look at this ball location by Beck to the uh upfield shoulder so Bell can catch and run with it that is ridiculously good improvisational skills right there and now you just need Bell to gain as many yards as he possibly can and honestly he did really good Sho string tackle right there by nine all right so that play was call back for a penalty and Georgia only six points 3rd Quarter going into the half I love this play design boa is one of the best at getting three people going vertical on the same side okay so you get a motion right here and Bell goes vertical uh 11 super fast Smith stops pivo bits and goes vertical and then lucky is going vertical okay so there's three levels to this wheel is kind of vertical and where you want to put the football is to the second level right because if this guy is covering the flats and the vertical is taking up the Deep quarter or deep third Defender then this is going to be wide open now before I actually show you the throw I want you to see the anticipation here by uh Carson Beck this is really really good chemistry with the guy he's been throwing with look at when he's deciding to actually throw this football while the head is down of number 11 right here and Smith 11 is catching this football almost in stride he had to turn around just a little bit but you love to see that from a quarterback you really really really do and Smith is able to cut this back it's a good tackle right there by 10 yeah I wouldn't be shocked if B ends up being the best receiver on this team okay it seems like Beck and him have the best chemistry and this is just a lot of misdirection okay and what I love about these misdirection plays is your blocks from the offensive line really don't need to be good at all it's the design of the play that's getting it open so fake hand off to the right look at all these Clemson players they actually do a decent job pursuing this and Bell just shows you some pretty good athleticism that he doesn't get a whole lot of credit for once again not as bullish on this Tennessee wide receiver room as others but man that's really good I get to hear this is just a really good job by Beck and the offense seeing that this is a one-on-one matchup I hate throwing fade balls I really do I prefer him be a back shoulder throw and that's exactly what this is good throw good catch man one of the hardest things for a defense to do is when you play action fake to the running back and actually end up throwing back to that running back right because you're biting on the play action fake and then the running back leaks out it's really really hard to guard and I'm shocked that more teams don't do it right Missouri did a really good job of doing different variations of this uh with last year's team and man get the football in three matter Day High School from California some good recruiting right there back I mean what a freaking dude okay now I understand that there's going to be quite a few Clemson fans that want to call out holding right here is that a little bit of a tug yeah I mean especially when you're you're you're black beating this bad on this Turf okay it makes me think even more that you're just fighting for deer life and actually holding them down down uh but the point here is well Beck gets a little lucky on that one that the safety didn't turn Okay obviously this is the vanderbelt transfer his name slits my mind uh catches it nice explosive play all right here we go little RPO re it's a good job by Beck okay he sees immediately that he likes his two on two numbers out here now you just need a good block right here from Kobe young who caught that touchdown that's good stuff that's why you bring in transfers experienced receivers um and then this is just nasty that's just gross gross gross right there um from Dominic love it and nine this is all protection honestly 4th Quarter okay so they decide to bring uh a somewhat exotic pressure and this is just a good job by Beck just going through his progressions once again uh it's just a super clean pocket and you know when they're bringing pressure from this level where you want attack is right where they came from okay that is really good stuff and Beck does have all day to actually make this wide openen throw um and he does catch the vanderville transfer right in stride and good I mean if it wasn't for these guys on the sideline pointing to tell Humphrey where to go he would have had no clue okay he would have been running this way huh h Huh but if you watch my Tennessee film study it's floating in the top right corner of your screen uh from the Chattanooga game you'll see that one of their running backs actually did run in the wrong direction yeah and the best player on this whole Georgia team very well could be Malachi Starks and you'll see why here there's just not many NFL DBS that are making this play and obviously he's in college a typical Kirby DB just freaking making plays and he runs a route better than the receiver and watch him catch this football at his highest point we're in that number 24 he looks like Derek Stingley making that play that is nasty ABS so freaking lutely nasty all right Georgia fans do you believe this is the best Georgia defense since the 2022 Natty team it very well could be you know this unit is nasty now Clemson hadn't been a beacon for elite offense over the past couple of Seasons but man that was a sterling dominant performance I mean the catches and throws at Clemson actually completed I didn't even show a tight end uh freaking uh Randy Moss a ball um the catches and plays that Clemson actually did complete on offense were extremely extremely difficult okay so let me know and do you feel y'all are the best team in the country cuz you showed it in the second half okay um I am obviously in Vegas so you know Georgia fans have shown you a lot of love breaking down Final Stats down a blowout when I could be at the freaking luxur pool partying it up but I'm here with you guys huh huh huh so show me some love okay it is Power Hour SEC boom so some other film studies will be floating in your face let's give you one more play why not and this kid from matter day man he has got some bounce that is a good job pressing and then
