Derek uh impactful touchdown in the beginning uh how do you feel the rest of the game for you um uh couple runs I probably W back want to do different but I'm just try to do the best I could to help this team win and um know we came up short one game doesn't Define the whole season we got plenty more to go play watch the film learn from it get better and you know be self-critical of myself and you know continue to improve as you were watching and then I guess watching the the replay on the big board what did you kind of think of Isaiah's touchdown play and were you surprised that it got turned over I mean I thought it was a touchdown I thought what they call the phield was going to be a touchdown I got overt um you know just what they called and you we'll be we'll get back and get better what kind of momentum did that first touchdown Drive do for you personally um me it was good to get in there um I did a great job blocking um um had a hole just had to hit it get in the end zone and um get on the board uh get on the board and get a touchdown felt good um but you know that was early in the game and um know just came up short today and uh watching T like I said and get better and grow from it and come out and um be better next week I mean this team you guys competed I mean this is a two-time defending superl champions in their place you came down to the very end as a team I mean what do you take from from game like that um yeah I mean we uh you know we were able to uh put ourselves in position to be able to have a chance to to win the game you know even you know the things were happen in the game as far as on outside of the ball but you know um it's a lot of things we can learn from and a lot of things we can um continue to build on and that's uh that's all you want to do as a team learn from the mistakes and put on the positives Mark talks about the the penalties really having this halting effect especially in those middle two quarters especially the illegal formation calls what did that influence do you think that had on the offense well I mean anytime you having self-inflicted wounds you know it's always going to be tough to try to overcome you especially with a team like this who's uh very good and very sound and capitalized on on um posing team this mistakes we just got just got to learn from it the first game um get those MCU out the way and um be better the next time we got there D first time playing obviously with what was your you know he kept you guys into among other things um to the end there what was your take on his performance tonight I mean Lamar tomor just like everybody else scen you know he's going to do him and make plays and you know put us in position to win so yeah Lamar is Lamar ER as you look ahead what are some things that you can take from this game that you'll be able to build on forward um know I think collectively as a group um you know we know that you know long as we were resilient you know no matter what happens you know we can still be in the game you know we got playmakers all around the field you know um it could be back in the game in the drive we saw that with uh but was they likely you know making that big old play getting us back in the game just just that fast know just got to stay locked in um have a belief from one another and um let let the rest take care of itself you mentioned that touchdown catch but likely how much what kind of effect did they have on the energy of the game think oh yeah I mean that was a big momentum swing for us um you know we needed that score we needed to score quick and you know he made a big play you know that's type of players that is he made big plays his name's called your first game your first game playing alongside of Lamar to see what he was kind of putting on his back taking off running the spin moves all that stuff like what what do you take away from your first game playing beside him um I don't expect nothing less enough from him um he's been doing his whole career uh that's the type of player he is and um you know you know we're teammates now but I've been seeing him when I was on other side so that's what type of play Lamar is he's going to lay on the line every single time were they doing something up front to where you guys are going pushing more so to the perimeter seemed like you guys were throwing the swing passes they take that outside maybe that punch not the middle as much um no not not at all just what uh uh monk saw and wanted to call I feel like they gave us the best opportunity to be able to make plays and um get the ball down the field and and that's what that's what we try to do
