US Senate Republican candidate Dave mccormick made a campaign stop today in Cumberland County as he looks to close the gap with Senator Bob Casey in the polls Fox 43 James Corrigan was at the event which was aimed at getting Republican women to go to the polls us. Senate Republican nominee Dave mccormick took the stage in East Pennsboro township and took aim at his opponent in November. Senator Bob Casey, the lack of clarity, moral clarity, the lack of standing up and saying this is right and this is wrong. And Barbara was talking about some of that. That is what we're lacking today in our public officials. It's what we're lacking in Bob Casey. The Cumberland County Council of Republican Women held the event and centered its message to turning out women voters in Pennsylvania mccormick says he strongly supports in vitro fertilization and would not vote for a national abortion ban while saying that Pennsylvanians concerns on the major issues, bridge the gender gap. Inflation has just been enormous pressure on working families, the cost of groceries, the cost of fuel. So they're getting squeezed. So that's the number one issue mccormick has found himself under fire this summer over his prior residency in Connecticut, as well as the investments his management firm, Bridgewater Associates made in a Chinese producer of fentaNYL while he was ceo he responded to claims that he is out of touch with Pennsylvania voters brought on further this week after his ex account confused Philadelphia Pennsylvania with Philadelphia Mississippi. I grew up in uh in rural Pennsylvania Bloomsburg. My folks had a farm. I worked on the farm. I've stayed connected to Pennsylvania. I have my, my farm. I live in Pittsburg, so I'm very much in touch with the issues. And my same friends that I had from high school days are the friends I have now and I think that they all see the need for leadership. Now it's mccormick's ability to convince the wider electorate in Pennsylvania that will decide this race. He's currently trailing Senator Casey in the polls with a little over two months to go and a series of debates to come as well as we know anything can happen in politics in East Penns Borough township.
