Getting that still gonna be hot out there. But yeah, not as hot as it has been, I think for the latter half of the week, we will cool down and you can see not a major cool down. But yeah, we'll take whatever we can get. As we look at the temperature change compared to 24 hours ago, it's about 3 to 5 degrees less hot. We'll call it uh as we head over to a Fort Worth in Dallas here this morning and you can see that's about what we're gonna be in that uh five degree range. So yeah, it's a little bit better out there for you when you step out the door. But still looking at 80 degrees out at DFW airport right now where we got up 104 yesterday won't be that hot today. The temperatures will drop another couple of degrees probably before we start to heat up again later today. And it's feeling like it's 84 out there for you. So as we look around the metroplex a few more upper seventies than what we saw yesterday morning 78 heading out to Plano 77 in Frisco we see Rock wall and mesquite as well in the upper seventies and then those low eighties coming back out to Arlington along with Fort Worth at 81. Now, as we go through the day today, there's that front that has been easing through the area in the past couple of days. Still looking at triple digit heat seriously hot as we get out toward Eastland Breckenridge, maybe up around 107 to 108. But then we'll have the upper nineties here across the metroplex and maybe even some low nineties over our far northeastern counties later on today. So, a break from the triple digit temperatures, it stays dry, unfortunately. And that will be the case over the next several days. So high pressure stays in control across the North Texas for today and there's the serious heat out toward Abilene, San Angelo, Austin, San Antonio, very hot in those areas. 106 to 107. And that's where we do have the excessive heat warnings heading down to Austin over toward Houston later today. But, uh, not looking at no, the, uh, heat alerts across North Texas for today. So we are catching a break, but again, it is still going to be hot for us over the next few days. Now, here's what's gonna be happening as we head toward the end of the week, high pressure stays in control, but by next week it shifts a little bit for us. As we head toward the latter, the middle part of next week, the end of next week as well. And that may open up the door for at least a chance for a few showers and thunderstorms for us by the middle of next week. So we'll keep our fingers crossed for that. Speaking of, here's that 14 day forecast for you gonna keep it in the upper nineties through the end of the week, but still around 98 to 99 maybe hitting 100 as we get into the weekend. Once again, early next week, we'll start to talk about that chance for some showers and storms. Right now. We'll go with about a 20% coverage as we head into next Wednesday, keeping those highs in the upper nineties as we head on into the holiday weekend as well.
