it's Valentine's Day here at missou Arena and fans are flocking out in their pink and gold in hopes that Missouri can snap a 10-game losing streak against Mississippi State as if winning wasn't hard enough for the Tigers today they'll have to do so without an injured West Clark or a suspended Germaine Isabelle with Clark out with an elbow injury Missouri shooting suffered as they shot poorly from both the three-point range and the free throw line where they went an abysmal 3 for n in the first half Mississippi state would take advantage of the slow start as they jumped out to an early 17 point lead before halftime a 7-0 Missouri run including four from Ryan rosberg however brought the Tigers a little closer before the break and sent Missouri to the lockers down by only 11 the Tigers came out roaring in the second half as these two major dunks from D'Angelo Allen and Ryan rosberg brought the Tigers back into the game Jonathan Williams took over after that as he scored 23 of his career high 27 points in the second half to bring the Tigers within just one point in the closing moments a last second foul on Missouri however gave the ball back to Mississippi State and sealed the 77 to 74 victory for the Bulldogs so there you have it it's heartbreak for Missouri on Valentine's Day the men's basketball Falls 7774 to Mississippi State Jonathan Williams led the team in scoring but it wasn't enough as the Bulldogs took the win Missouri will be back in action on February 18th when they take on Arkansas for 23 Sports I'm Matt Vine
