Childish Gambino “New World Tour” Vlog | Last Stop?!

okay good morning I know I have not been recording in a while it's been how many let's not count the days we don't have to count the days couple weeks we don't have to count the days though um yeah it's been a while however I'm back I'm [Music] back I you know when you have those like creative stumps that's that's what I've been having I have like a list of ideas that I want to do but I just need to take action to those ideas and here we are with one of them so today we are going to New Orleans to a challeng gambo concert I have been a huge Gambino fan for a minute the music's there the Artistry is there he's a writer he's an actor he's a singer he's hey everything and I just love artists that don't put themselves in box and he's one of those artists so anyways um little backstory I this was in high school I saw this guy like listening to um because of the internet I don't know which song it was and I was like I like the album cover I was like oh this a cool album cover and so I went home I went home I looked it up and I started listening to it and I kid you not right then and there that's when I became a fan that's that's when I became a s that's when I became a Sporter so it's I honestly don't know I don't have any expectations but I'm just excited to see what songs he decides to put on his set list I'm excited to see like the production cuz and I'm going by myself like this is the probably like the third yeah this is going to be the third concert I've gone to by myself and if you guys are ever go scared to go to concerts by yourself I feel like you should just not be again there's no reason to be scared there really is no reason to be scared like you basically are just going to enjoy and have a time to yourself to listen to an artist and you probably have people around you that share the same love for that artist and so you'll either one you end up meeting friends there or two you'll end up just having a good time by yourself I think it would be nice for that to be emphasis on doing things by yourself and not having to wait for people to do things um you should just enjoy your own company sometimes and that's what I'm doing today Willow is opening up for him and if you're a willow lover like me you know seeing her live is like going to be something completely different and so um I she just came out on an album called empathogen yeah empathogen and I was listening to it I'm like oh my gosh this is such a really good album my favorite song is the fear is not real and i' rather pick like a second favorite FAL self is really good too so if you haven't listened to her album I recommend to go listen to it it's it's really I guess self-healing if that makes any sense I'm getting ready right now lay my edges I'm about to do like a little little bit of a eye look and the color schreen is basically going to go along with my outfit also my outfit so in because of the interet on the album cover he it's literally just a self-portrait however he's wearing a Hawaiian shirt and Bando still in a new world which is the newest album that just came out he's also wearing a Hawaiian shirt and I'm like was that purposeful cuz I feel like it was and so I with the intention I wanted to wear like a blouse with like you know flowers Hawaiian esque shirt that's like the theme of my outfit I'm going to come back and like show y'all like the eye look and everything and then my ha hair once it's like already done and set um but other than that yeah recording and getting ready at the same time is it's it's it's something so okay so I did my makeup I took my hair out I about to take some of like the twist out just to make it more Fuller um it's also raining so like fingers crossed it's not raining when I have to walk to the venue however I'm still just going to plan on getting um umbrella to uh take with me me now the last concert I went to the last concert I went to it was raining and they made us like throw our umbrellas outside and I end up like losing my umbrella that night cuz I didn't care I was just going to get another one anyways so I'm just going to get an umbrella for like the dollar store cuz if they're going to make me throw it away then that's fine but yeah so this is what we're working with we're okay so I tried to do like a like a darker bluish green on like the inner like right here and then I wanted to do like a lighter turquoise blue on the outer which I don't know if you guys can see it as much it kind of Blends in together but it doesn't matter I like it um and then I always do like light bright gold on my inner corners or I'm always doing my inner quarters if I don't new eye makeup I'll always like put something right here eyebrows blush I got the jewelry with my name on it we got this necklace that I got from Ecuador um got this wristlet that I got when I was in Texas um and then I'm going show you the outfit me show let me let's get into the outfit okay so I'm going to do a fit check um so this is like the Hawaiian esque shirt which I just found a shirt with like some symol and flowers on it it has blue and green on it like which hence the eye makeup I have these like widely pants with Vans calm little fit calm little fit fun fact I sewed or hemmed my own pants YouTube University when I tell you YouTube will teach you how to do everything the V they got those follow me I'll make this like I'm going take a picture of myself with this we got the vinyl I will Vlog again when I get to New Orleans okay y'all so I finally made it here I am at the restaurant right now I'm about to go inside and look a little pecked so hopefully I hopefully I don't have to wait too long cuz it's just me one usually I know they're like if it's only one person you can set at the bar I don't I also don't know if they have a bar I've never been here before but hopefully there's not like a long way but I finally made it about to go get some good food and then I'll yeah I'll record the place and I'll show youall how the food looks and everything um and then we'll go from there so stay tuned this is what I got I'll explain in a later clip exactly what it is because it was really loud in there okay y'all so I'm back in the car it just started raining and I did not get an umbrella before I came here because they didn't have any so now I'm about to go to the store get an umbrella cuz I I just I can't do it I can't do the rain I I can't stand the rain let me give my review by the way oh my gosh how rude of me I definitely would give it I give it a eight out of 10 I got the blacken catfish with stuffed crab meat and angel hair pasta with like this shrimp sauce it's really really good really really good I did not get to eat all my food but because I ended up talking to that person but neither here nor there he was really nice about to get the umbrella coffee shop shop and then we go to the venue so stay tuned us got it just in case it starts raining it's like off and on drizzling but like I said you just can't chance it so I'm going bring it just in case I want to be intentional with my spending and so since I'm in New Orleans I want to spend and give my money back to the actual City and so I was looking for like coffee shops and stuff nearby um to go to before I go to the concert and so I'm at the coffee shop or at this coffee shop name pontilly I'm going record it cuz it's such a [Music] Vibe all right so I got the coffee I don't know why I got such a large size cuz I'm reallya not going to drink all this but I got a Macha latte and I'm going to taste test it on camera to give you the authentic reaction that's good wait I need I always like I don't is said Aaliyah aiyah interlude she said that matcha matcha lattes tastes like grass and I agree it's like very green tastes green but it tastes good um and I got a large for like that was like $7 so pretty good on pricing so I made it to the parking lot and I'm not going to lie I look a little sketch I'm not going to lie this look a little sketch and I told myself I'm not leaving outside this car until I see some other cars and I think two other people parked here but I'mma give it one more car because it first of all it's under and underpass second um there are like people around here somebody done came to my window and I'm like do I want to leave my car here more importantly is it safe for me to leave my valuables now I've only ever gotten my car broken into once and ironically enough it's when I went to go to a concert so we not having a repeat so if I I just want to see at least one or two more cars come in here so I know that my car is not the only one um and then I'll feel like more comfortable with leaving my stuff in here yeah [Music] okay y'all I finally made it to the concert this random lady came to me called me beautiful and then gave me this pen okay y'all I just got to my seat and I honestly think I ate with the sea Choice like I'm very close to the front but let me show you how close I am so there's like two different stages I'm not too sure who's going to be on that stage but the stage is literally right there enjoy like having a a seat at a concert I've been to concerts where you had to like stand the whole time and my f just be hurting by the time they end the concert yes it's fun but like regardless of that like I rather have a seat and then be able to concert but yeah Willow opening I love her song nine I love wait a minute I was a Whip My Hair you know stand when it first came out 21st Century Girl Fireball like [Music] W wait a minute [Music] what for will to be that young writing music like [Music] that now she has empathogen I I don't know it's like kind of mindblowing but it's also nice to see someone I guess Express their emotions and like what they're going through in life through music and that's exactly what a empathogen gave me so I'm excited to see which ones like she performs but that that album is really good album know [Music] shall I shall I just ramble about my love for Charles Gambino Donald Glover uh AKA Troy from Community AKA you're you're getting the [Applause] GTI we have a good time you ready have a good time I got a few rules just a few what's going on what's going on okay let me see I think I said when I was getting ready like how I initially started listening to this music um I am an a lover I am a lover I'm a mus I'm a musical connoisseur and I a lover of the artart it just I love when people Express themselves and it turns into something beautiful and I feel like he's one of those people that I love so dearly so because of the internet came out could not stop listening to [Music] it for [Applause] [Music] [Applause] 1 2 1 2 [Music] 3 after that uh Kawai came out which Kawai was like um it was almost like a EP album but also if you switch it over it's Stone Mountain and that was like the mixtape with um DJ Drama I think DJ drama's on there who always yelling in the um always yelling in the mic yes him so I got onto that loved all the songs from that up SL mixtape then I didn't really hear Too Much music for him in a like from then well from then on [Music] you oh we [Music] then uh I think did Atlanta come out around that time I think the show Atlanta came out around that time I can't remember Atlanta amazing amazing show the storytelling on that the fact that in the last this is a spoiler so if you could skip if you want but the fact that the last season confirmed that it was all in his friend's mind like it was all ass similation but the fact that that was the premise literally the whole show is surrounded by somebody's subconscious and so any everything that happened wasn't really real but it was real to the person that was thinking about it so I if you haven't watched the show I recommend it it's it's one of those really really good shows that you could just sit and relax and then also makes me that don't around with [ __ ] it's just true don't leave your girlfriend here it's just you when I'm depress you someone I run to but I guess s me at pianos cross fading on banano woo that [Music] bit going back in time I remember when this is America first came out um that was a game changer be walking on a thin line and it's like if you really care about a cause sing about it if you really care about want to bring attention to something that no one's really paying attention to anymore rap about it and that's exactly what I feel like he did in that song um a lot of people were making me and making fun of it but like when you actually pay attention to the hidden message or it's not even a hidden message the the message in the song kind of like shining a spotlight on like a certain thing that we like almost are desensitized to and I don't like that but that was a really good song really good video [Music] um damn this is and then the most recent one B still in a new world and apparently it's supposed to be a movie as well which I will definitely be Saed off first listen step speech survive in the night talk my [ __ ] uh Happy survival uh I'm naming a half of the songs on the album but I'm saying off first listen those are my favorites and then I listen to it again so I can get like the cohesiveness of the album and and when I tell you it's a good album if you really open your ears to different types of sounds and different you know genres of music that's literally what that album is it's not just like rap it's really not just rap so yeah and I'm very excited to see like how he incorporates that [Music] live we don't care about the party we just want to dance we don't care about the party we just to [Music] dance cry bab through belly cuz what nobody a very good New Orleans [Music] so if you made it this far in the Vlog thank you so much for watching and coming to the Childish Gambino SL Willow Smith concert with me if I were to rate the concert I probably would give it a 8.9 out of 10 8.9 out of 10 and that's a strong rating um it was very enjoyable but Yow like Barefoot anklets on braided hair it just gave spiritual and free and calming and so I really enjoyed her um opening up for him and then childish Mr Donald Glover my voice is almost gone like I was he kept saying which I know like artists only do this to like rile the crowd up he was like y'all ain't real fans y'all ain't real fans like I'm singing a word for word bar for bar are okay um side note uh there was almost like a fight in front of me I don't even want to call it a fight I would to call a little like like Tiff or something there was a like a full row of I want to say teenage girls or maybe they're in college I don't know they just seemed young and in front of them was this couple and I guess at one point the girl like pulled out her Flash and the girl from the couple turned around and she she was like you're blinding me like it's literally my eyes and then she flicked her off and then the girl kept the flash on and so that escalated into like them like basically taunting the couple with like the flash on them and I'm just sitting there like y'all please do not start nothing cuz like just here to have a good time like don't start no [ __ ] you know and they keep doing it they keep doing it it's like at some point something was going to happen and they did it for at least two songs straight like it just had the flash behind her head and her um I'm assuming her boyfriend was like in he was like waving his hand in front of them so they couldn't see anything and then eventually he turned around and smacked the girl's phone well he smacked the girl's phone it didn't fall like she kept it in her hands and then it nothing happens after that the couple left like later on and me and the person the person that was standing next to me we were just like like what are y'all doing and for what like y'all are being child literally childish but other than that it was a really good concert uh really good crowd I thoroughly enjoyed it I've never seen a light show like that it was very visually pleasing to see the new world tour definitely up there definitely up there so um yeah so I'll just leave it here and see me again when I get home okay so I finally made it back home as you can tell I am so so so exhausted I am about to pass out but once again if you made it this far in the video thank you for watching that was literally one of my favorite concerts that I've been to in a while and so if you still have time to go to um CH cre Ms concert I would highly recommend it all right so literally a day after the New Orleans concert he cancelled the Houston date and I was like okay well I hope he feels better and then a day after he tweeted that he um tweets this and I'm like oh wow you know health comes first and it's very important so once again I hope he does feel better and recovers so when he does reschedule I hope you guys get to experience the same amazing show that
