to get the blood rushing through my ve on you to Heart why the heart that way you know you said something before you like I don't really know who I am quite yet so I want to show you that I can be everyone and everything American Idol contestant M shaal seemingly mocking judge Luke Bryan the two having an awkward and heated exchange during the show's Hollywood week episode on Sunday this thing's a wild ride how it went down well it actually started off during auditions things weren't so friendly between the pair after Luke made this comment I think you're still a year or two away of really perfecting who you are as the individual artist since you said I probably didn't really know who I was so I did some more digging and found more of her we give them constructive criticism we just like teach them everything we know in all of our years fast forward to Hollywood week m took the stage to perform Ariana Grande's Tattooed Heart and things didn't exactly go as she'd hoped play those games hold on babe hey can we can we start that over I wasn't feeling that one sorry y'all mday paused mid song for a redo before eventually calling off the accompanying pianist completely okay we're going to do Acappella because that's not flowing the way way we practiced it didn't start off right so it was throwing me CU I'm like wait am I messing up my pianist completely just flipped the script on what we practiced well after take three Luke reacted to it all sharing his feedback with mday so mday are you feeling okay um I'm handling it is your voice 100% not to where I would like it I got you yeah obviously I don't know what went on in rehearsals but a lot of stuff going on up there it was a little sh take you in some spots but thanks for performing for us thank you of course thank you things are things that we want to say to the contestants I think it's it's very critical advice mday wasn't super happy with the implication of not being her best American Idol producer stepping in to give her another chance it's great to have you back and we understand all of the Dynamics of it now we want you in the most comfortable situation possible okay so with that being said can I have a chair perhaps cuz I'm getting a little shaky that's mday seemingly clapping back at Luke's previous comments over her quote shaky voice but things got even more tense after she apparently imitated his accent with the song's final [Music] word when you heart why the heart that way you know you said something before you like I don't really know who I am quite yet so I want to show you that I can can be everyone and everything isn't that what an American Isel is Luke didn't take M's words too kindly firing back maybe we'll do American humble at some point probably not winning the audience for that one I've learned through the years that you know be humble and be apologetic the encounter likely didn't help the judges throw any points M's way she was ultimately sent home by the end of the episode everyone to my left thank you for the journey you're going home so it's the end of the road for Bethany meie and [Music] mday
