Cardinals lose to Mariners 10-4 .

well what's going on Cor Nation man a rough game today rough game losing this one and losing two of three to the Seattle Mariners 10 to four in this one uh game we needed honestly in order to stay alive in the wild card picture and didn't happen and our playoff hopes are getting Slimmer and Slimmer now we are six games back of the Braves and Mets for the final wild card spot uh the Brewers who lost today they've lost two of three this weekend to the Colorado Rockies of all teams so pretty surprising there but yeah so the Mariners would take a early lead uh as uh in the top of the first a lead off double by Julio Rodriguez and then RBI single by Cal Raley their catcher hello he's actually the DH in this one St making it early one to nothing Seattle lead and then two-run double by Luke rayy to make it three to nothing so just like that three to nothing Seattle still no one out and then Justin Turner with the base hit to put Runners on the corners he would get palano and Crawford strike out but then a two-run single by Mitch Garver to make it five to nothing Seattle so through one inning five runs and six hits so I mean still a lot of game left but that was not the start we wanted uh then in the top of the second a two-run home run by the ex Cardinal Randy AR Roar Rena uh the ex-cardinal and formerly with the T Bay Ray where he was a star there uh Mariners acquired him at the deadline for Rosara his 19th of the year and so be a seven to nothing Seattle lead after just an inning and a half and then we would come back get two runs in the bottom of the second Jose fine starting at second base a two-run single to to make it a 7 to2 game and Miles Michaels to be taken out after just two innings uh not due to injury but just due to a poor performance two innings allowed six runs actually seven runs six of them earned struck out three on nine hits through just two innings and then Steven matz coming in who of course started last week against the Brewers now is in Ser into the bullpen and a solid job in Relief by Steven matz he would give up a two-run home run in the fifth to Jorge palano uh his 14th but nothing else so a nice job by Stephen mats in relief and four strikeouts in relief as well so uh we made a nine to Four game in the bottom of the eighth a two-run double by Jordan Walker uh Harvey n 10 to make it 9 to4 and then right-handed Riley O'Brien with an A and third scoreless then in the top of the ninth uh pitcher Chris roft on the mound rookie pitcher who is just caught up from Triple A sent Kyle leeh down to the miners in that move of roft his first appearance with the Cardinals in in about a month and we'll get two strikeouts but then a won and an RV double by JP Crawford to make it 10 to four and although Ro CRA would strike out four batters in relief but yeah this smers team mentioned has the lowest team batting average in baseball that's amazingly it's worse than the than the white socks slightly worse and yeah and their rats are on fire 13 hits uh and there starter a long time since n he red Luis Castillo would only go three innings in this game as he would leave the game after just three Innings due to uh I believe a hamstring uh injury so hopefully it's nothing too serious for for Seattle uh yeah uh yeah exited after three GES with they left ham hamstring strain and was walking awkwardly off the mound after that final pitch so um but yeah so rough game and now it is three weeks left in the season uh the Cincinnati Reds come to town after an off day tomorrow so uh Reds won't be going to the playoffs or at least probably not so but we'll see see what happens so playoff hopes are in Jeopardy now going to be pretty hard to catch both the Mets and the Braves if we want to somehow sneak in so uh till Tuesday comic sing Gokarts
