[Music] hey I'm Chris I'm Margie and this is Disney up dates Disney updates right so do we have any news besides Disney news Margie is having a baby Margie is she's had she's had two babies one's 30 and the other is 24 no more babies you just popped on okay so who do we have in the chat Margie who do we have let's take a look we have Mike I'm crazy Mike's SP and we have mar mar in Memphis yes yes and I'm sure there'll be more people coming in here pretty soon it does say we got three but there's only two so we got a ninja Watcher or a ghost so that's the immaculate of so but what are we waiting for let's go ahead I booked the bus last night from MCO to Disney I'm back and I charged it to Margie's charge I I'm telling you right now did it come back declined yeah that's that's what I'm telling you because seriously we oh my God we do have news yeah we to get Chris's car fixed and I about peed my pants when he told us how much it was yes it was over ,000 it is fraud Mike yeah yeah we were quoted 400 but there was other things that needed fixed which I wish we would have kind of known that beforehand yeah but then it ended up costing us a th000 plus yes oh I was frustrated but anyway car the car is fixed well not all of it yeah the window yes the window window not the window the window they know we're from Indiana don't worry about it all right so let's get on with some Disney news are you ready for this Margie do the Disney news dance oh it was running it was just a the rear wheel bearing MH and the air conditioning that's what it went in for then he said they had to fix the back brakes or we wouldn't have had any and the front wheel bearing I have to say say this correctly so anyway here's the thing Margie went and told him said hey uh can we get the parts because Chris gets gets a discount and I get a 10% discount he did give us a 5% discount he gave us 5% it's like it was like we could have done better it is what it is the car is fixed he was nice about it though he was he was kind and I just course he's kind he made a the whole $1,000 is what got me cuz I feel like they should have asked us if we wanted those things fixed and gave me a at least an estimate of how much it would have cost but yes here we are yes good cat uh when I booked the bus the express was 260 round trip we booked the holy canoli that's a lot $260 for you to go from the airport to your hotel and then back to the airport that's a bit extreme oh wow I don't I need to do that to Haley's carb I don't know how it it's not that hard really I'll buy the CH you do it I I don't I'd have to look I'd have to find where it is so she needs it done but anyhow but we could also YouTube it I hope it's not fixed with duct tape absolutely not no uh it does it does run good I with none so Haley was in New York yesterday you have to find the correct nozzle for your model car uh they I don't think they went in all the way into New York oh they didn't go all the way into New York no today they went to Jersey Shore ah all right here we go there we go we got four Foods there looks like a uh Jack skeleton and a her name Sally Sally Sally Sally yes yes uh Madame Leota uh Ray leota's mother uh it looks like one of those dumb cakes and a flower a rose so uh let's see so the Jack Skeleton eclair cookies and cream uh moose eclair Sally eclair pistachio Clair Madam neota petite cake lir of chocolate chiffon caramel mousse and crushed pretzel amorettes wilting Rose chocolate biscuit with dark chocolate mousse and raspberry sauce and the Minnie Mouse Dome chocolate chiffon cake dark chocolate mousse with Jerry gel filling that is all four of those there lay down Bud they all look good I think they all look good I would try them would you no I know you wouldn't I'll try the eair so it looks like we got two drinks here we got a pumpkin shake vanilla gelato blended with pumpkin pie mix caramel sauce pumpkin spice and graham cracker crumbles topped with whipped cream and pumpkin spice what is that one a chocolate what or pump cake shake oh okay and then we have a Dockside Margarita mysterious Margarita Patron Silver Tequila Grand Mariner liquid liquor a sweet and sour lime juice black cherry puree and Grand Smith apple garnish with an orange wedge and a cherry all right haly in New York where my water balloons up next we have looks like some more drinks or more stuff uh so this is that Jack Lindsay's Hangar bar they have a spice pear potion C Morgan's original spiced drum pear nectar uh lemon juice and cinnamon simple syrup garnish with the cinnamon stick so that would be the first one here the pumpkin patch oldfashioned Makers Mark uh Kentucky Straight Bourbon simple and vanilla syrup uh pumpkin spice and I don't know how Ang bitters served with an ice sphere so that would be in the middle one uh creepy mudslide uh Pala coffee lur Tito's homemade vodka Bailey's Irish cream leor and vanilla base served in a chocolate syrup drizzled glass garnished with whipped cream gummy candy and crushed cookie pieces gosh Marie you were fine they added all the gummies and I was no what I looked at your face it was like it just sounded gross sorry all right uh I don't know what we have here we got a couple of things here it looks like some kind of cake pop or something like that and but we'll go down here this is coming from the marketplace snacks Mickey's pumpkin waffle Sunday vanilla soft served to with pumpkin caramel and M&M's milk chocolate candies so that's that one and the other one uh swirls on the water Maleficent cone black vanilla cone filled with pistachios and purple cheesecake soft seres swirl and chocolate horns so there we go I wish the Disney parks had soda refill stations for the cup you buy yes that would be wonderful I don't care for the favor flavor of pumpkin spice me either I don't think I've ever I don't think I've ever had it I don't know what it is about it I just don't like it right all right so here we go it looks like we got uh some chocolates and something a pumpkin shaped like a Mickey all right starting off this is at the the ganach yeah this is at the ganachery yes pecan ganache uh Square toasted caramelize pecan blended with milk chocolate a pumpkin chai ganache Square Pumpkin and chai spice blended with white chocolate and covered in 65% dark chocolate so is that this maybe no yeah no that's this oh I think uh Oogie Boogie chocolate toffee bites uh dark chocolate Ruby chocolate and housemade pumpkin spice toffee with a crispy pearls and that's this yeah okay and then you have the pumpkin Mickey chocolate panata Pata Pata Mickey Chocolate shell with yeah Pata Mickey Chocolate shell with pumpkin spiced marshmallows uh there's a haunted mansion portrait bar which is four chocolate ganache bars with favorite raspberry salted caramel Chipotle and passion fruit I wonder if that's what that is I know it said four flavors of them so maybe yeah uh then you got the hitchhiking ghost chocolate Chiller a chilling blend of three chocolates melted milk and cream mini trick-or treat chocolate pops caramel ganache pop covered in 65% dark chocolate Jack Skeleton cinnamon ganache squares uh Sri Lankan cinnamon with milk chocolate so that must be that I don't there must have been some that we read that wasn't actually up here or maybe it was one there were different ones in these I don't know all right up looks like we got some drinks now this is at the wests side Landing out outdoor food Foods starting with the Eerie Apple the Eerie Apple margarit Margarita and it's Luna zul rosada tequila uh patro Lor deyer pucker sour apple Lor sweet and sour lemon juice and Granny Smith apple syrup garnished with a lime wedge this is that vivoli ill gelato what Jackal Flo vanilla gelato Fanta orange and whipped cream which is non-alcoholic monster shake a mint chocolate chip gelato chocolate sauce whipped cream and chocolate chips that's also nonalcoholic vanilla float vanilla gelato Sprite strawberry sauce and whipped cream also not non-alcoholic so there we go with these here and that looks like that's going to do it that's that's going to do it for the for the menu there're at for the Halloween menu at Disney Springs so moving on moving on Margie would you try any of that did anything look good to you I don't know all right this is coming from Disneyland news today which is basically WD W news today um and it is budget cut strike Disney's Viva nav Nava how do you say na na'vi DOD Street party will only perform on weekends look at I'm looking all festive I love the Disney desserts like cake but my A1C tells me sugarfree and I can't get the look and I get the look from Joanna so it's all sugarfree for me that's why I order so much on Amazon snackwise yeah I've never really looked to see what their sugar-free options are at Disney or if there is one surely there is but so uh Disney Viva na Navid stream party is returning for the holiday season at Disney's California Adventure Park however the part party will only take place on weekends this year after being offered daily and previous years so Disney's Viva Navidad Navidad Navidad Street party I think it's the Viva I I I know it's nav do but I think that's what it is that's funny uh Disney's Viva naava dot Disney's via na'vi do three party will return to Paradise Gardens at Disney's California Venture bark and a limited fashion this year the ultimate Fiesta for na'vi do will begin on November 16 2024 and end on January 5th 2025 per performances will be on the following 16 dates and what was that for for na'vi do Chris is singing police NADA police my car that was funny all right oh moving on all right I love the Disney desserts Marge he does that's what he said all right this is coming from the New York Times so hopefully us will read it uh families are going into debt for Disney Vacation oh not happening here uh might not get to see it then again you might we'll see all right so Alisa leech and her husband have visited Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida every year since 2015 to them the theme park feels like an oasis where they can escape the stress of everyday life so when their son Lincoln was born in 2020 Miss leech wanted his first visit to the park to be special and spared no expense in planning it she booked a two trip twoe trip to visit Florida in December 2022 which included stays at Disney World and Universal Studios the cost quickly accumulated Miss leech and her family traveled from New Haven Connecticut and paid extra for mission to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party an after hours event that cost about $200 per person she also shelled out $100 for the theme parks photo service so she could download photos of the family that photographers took during the visit the vacation cost around $6,000 which included accommodations tickets and a car rental and which Miss leech charged to her Disney branded credit card Miss leech is one of the many parents who take have taken on debt for Disney family vacation in June Lending Tree a financial firm publish the results of a survey of over 2,000 people that found that 45% of parents with children 18 who have gone to Disney went into debt for the trip for family AFF the cost of a onewe trip to Disney can range from 6,463 to 15559 not including flights or souvenirs according to an analysis by nerd wallets a personal finance site many families can't afford the trip at all last week Disney reported softening demands for the its steam Parks because families after years of dealing with High inflation have less money to spend on Amusement but miss Le 38 who works in sales relies on quarterly bonuses to cover vacation cost she and her husband earns about $250,000 annually combined though that figure can fluctuate each year her family doesn't also have the money to pay for a vacation upfront instead she books first then pays off her balance as the bonuses come in for the trip in 20 thou 2022 Miss leech paid the minimum to her credit card for two months acing around $382 in interest before she was able to pay off the balance Disney stories and the characters who populate them are deeply invented in American pop culture and many families consider a trip to Disney's theme park to be a ride of Passage the Magic Kingdom theme park at Disney world is the biggest amusement park in the world by attendance drawing over 17.1 million visitors in 2022 according to a report by Acom an infrastructure consulting firm the second biggest is Disneyland in California which Drew more than 16.8 million visitors in the same year Miss leech said she had no regrets about taking her young son on her his first Disney trip I'll make more money she said but he'll never be that young again today the family lives in Tampa Florida and each member has a Disney World annual pass Disney does carry a level of nostalgia for people said Rachel Cruz who hosts personal finance podcasts and wrote a personal finance book with her father Dave Ramsey geared towards parents it's a lot of people's childhoods when you can go to One Singular place and have so many of those memories and those characters come to life it does bring a level of Joy however Miss Cruz says the pressure to visit Disney themed parks and to go all out for what may be and once in a-lifetime trip can lead families to spend beyond their means often visitors contend with sticker shocks when they arrive at the part for Johnny eseller of Helena Alabama Disney was a central part of his childhood when he became a parent he wanted his daughter to experience the same love for the theme park and its characters Mr s esfeller 41 who works in public relations and marketing Prides himself on fing his budget so when he look took his wife and their daughter then four to Disney World in February 2022 he was shocked to find himself in debt after the trip Disney never Disney's never a cheap vacation he said that's been true since probably when Walt opened the park in the 1950s he had budgeted about 6,000 for the trip but overspent by 201500 Mr esfeller and his wife are both employed full-time and describe themselves as upper middle class together they were able to pay off the debt from the trip in a few months still it lingered in his memory like a cautionary tale he and his wife considered themselves seasoned Disney vacationers but they were caught off guard by numerous pricing Challen changes the biggest one involved the park line skipping system for years Disney offered visitors Fastpass a free service that allowed them to effectively hold a reserves time slot to ride in attraction without having to wait a long time widening lines the park replaced it with a paid version in the fall of 2021 the cost of fast pass can vary depending on the ride theme park and time of year so the service cost Mr seller family $15 per person per day by the end of the trip it was several hundreds of dollars I didn't Bank on he said but shelling out extra for the new paid version of the line skipping service Mr seller said didn't feel like a choice you're there you're not sure you're you're coming back and it's like fine I'll just bite the bullet we'll worry about the cost later he said I just didn't want my daughter to miss out on anything another example of that what Mr sellers described as the nickel and diming of the experience involved transportation to the par within the park previously Disney offered a shuttle service branded as the mini van and operated by lift the company initially charged $25 flat rate to transport families between any two locations on the resort premises by the time Mr esfeller and his family were vacationing in 2022 it was operating on a surge pricing model instead also gone during their trip was the prepaid Dining Plan that let families budget so yeah so these people just went the wrong time is that what you're getting I mean I get what they said they didn't want their kids to miss out because yeah you know I'm glad when we went our kids were smaller Haley heaven was three and four when we she first went Haley was four on her first trip and I won't ever forget those memories I mean yeah and even when we went and Haley I mean you know heaven was I think working there when Haley met the talking Minnie or Mickey yeah like she I mean she's a teenager yeah and she cried because it was just like I don't know it was he came to life it was I don't know right right so oh no I I wouldn't miss this so uh the point of that every day which means we also try all the delicious foods at the park and Hotel have to offer every day since we visit the parks and hotels so often we have learned a few tips and tricks especially d23 I have a very lot a very lot to look forward at Disney Parks a great deal of new attractions at Disney World are planned for the next several years the recent announcement that works is set to begin soon on the tropical America area of Disney Animal Kingdom has a lot of Walt Disney World fans quite excited dinand USA has been underuse for years and the News the new lands will be receiving attractions dedicated to Encanto and Indiana Jones is a lot to look forward to however there is one beloved attraction that will have to go to make room for what's new and when dinosaurs finally close it will also end a nearly three decade run for Bill and I the Science Guy at Walt Disney World it's sad when moments like this happen and Bill and I is a pretty iconic figure for many who grew up with him it will certainly be sad to see him go I didn't grow up with Bill n Science Guy I grew up with a a what was his name he was in the morning all the time I don't remember he used to do science trip things and everything like that but uh Bill NY Science Guy has an impressive run at Walt Disney World Bill ny's relationship where Disney goes back to the early 1990s when his self-titled TV series was produced by the company perhaps that was why in the late 90s the famed educator could be found in three different places at Walt Disney World however two of those three attractions are already gone and as one fan pointed out on Twitter the third is now on The Chopping Block in 1996 Epcot Universe of energy attraction got a massive update and was transformed into Ellen's Energy Adventure while Ellen degenerous got her name into the show Bill NY was just a big part of the video animatronic Adventure the story saw NY taking degenerous through a history of Discovery and use use of different forms of energy the show ran for more than 20 years lasting longer than the original version of the attraction before being replaced by Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic rewind in 1998 two more attractions would be added that would include NY at Disney Quest at Disney Springs he would be seen as part of the cyberspace Mountain game then at Disney's Animal Kingdom he would be included in the dinosaur attraction giving guest facts about the creatures I don't remember that uh Disney Quest would close in 2014 to make way for the ill- fated NBA experience that La left dinosaur as the one place that bill NY could be found in the park but we know that at some point sooner rather than later Bill Nye will be gone entirely Mike says Mr Wizard Mr Wizard I think so what about ask Mr lizard on dinosaurs left out loud Mar says let's send Bill NY to figment they could do projects together I don't think so I'm not a big fan of Bill m was it Dr Pro what's proton Professor Proton Professor Proton uh if we're sending anybody over to figment it's gonna we need to get the dreamfinder back is who we need to get so uh this is from all.net we bet you've never done this in Epcot before what do you think it is Marge Emma is currently on a mission to do everything in Disney World in 100 days and what she just did we bet 90% of you have never done it or even heard of it Bill n's probably old enough to retire now oh I'm certain so you can do a lot of fun interactive activities in Epcot during the festivals there are different scavenger hunts that you can partake in for the Food and Wine Festival you can buy the map for Remy's hide and squeak scavenger hunt and search for Remy around Epcot you even get a special Festival themed prize kids and kids at heart can go around the world showcase and learn about all the different countries by stopping at kid cot fun spots in each country another fun activity in Epcot can be found on the play Disney Parks app so we've done the kids cot with the girls before um and they got their name um wrote in the the languages like the different yeah so Epcot used to be home to the Kim Possible world showcase adventure which later became Agent P's world showcase adventure this interactive Adventure would have you pick up a flip phone of DUIs and it would take you around the world showcase to complete different missions there are still traces of these today when you enter the world showcase near the figment statue you will see a stand that is closed this was one of the homes where you could pick up the device needed to play these games so there are even remnants of the game in the world showcase you can even find a nod to both of these games in Magic Kingdom when you participate in a Pirates Adventure Treasure of the Seven Seas so if you can't tell we are nostalgic about these old games in Epcot but now we are back to the present Agent P's world showcase Adventure was retired and adventur replaced with Disney's ducktail world showcase adventure sing the song Marge [Music] Ducktails this game is similar to its predecessor except for nowadays almost everyone has a smartphone so they were able to add this game to the play Disney Parks App instead of needing a separate device to play it on okay hold on let me read some comments quick Mike says Emma as in talking Mickey Mar says I've never drank around the world since I don't consume alcohol crazy Mike says same here Mar and Mar says a flip phone flip phone question mark question mark question mark I'm sure it wasn't a real flip phone it was probably just a device they gave my aunt uses the flip phone I'm not saying oh okay I'm saying the device they gave you probably look like a flip all right the play Disney park app is different from the Disney Experience app but is still free to download in this game you join Scrooge McDuck his nephew and friends as a travel around epcot's world showcase on a quacky quest to find the price of seven Lost Magic treasures and return them to their rightful owner Treasures can be found in Mexico Norway China Germany Japan France and the United Kingdom along the way you will have to assist huy Dewey and Louie and Webby and follow Clues to help them defeat some villains and uncover the missing artifacts so this game is exciting as some of the elements have been reused from the past games and updated with DuckTales characters we're glad that Disney has still kept this fun interactive game in Epcot around but we wish more advertising were done for it as many people do not know about it Mar say Steve did the Ducktails quest with Kenneth hon and Mike said I might have a drink with dinner like a p CLA but I don't go crazy don't need to see pink Tardis flying around Time and Relative I don't know what that dimensions and space stardus okay you know what I think they should do for people who don't consume alcohol instead of having the club cool they should put the different kinds of coke at each country so people can go around each country and try the different Cokes that way as a bonus fun fact Disney recently gifted the creator of fys and Ferb Dan penm was gifted one of the statues of Dr doofen Schurz that used to be part of Agent P's world showcase adventure there he is Dr doofen Schurz says as always keep following all years.net so uh we've played a lot we've played some I don't know if you you did it h Haley and or he and I when I went down by myself we got the cards the different cards and went and used to play that of course they retired that game uh I remember watching Megan on Mega moves she was playing it right at the end when they were getting ready to get rid of it she was she was playing that game and I think she live streamed herself playing the different places in Magic Kingdom All Right Moving On Moving On sounds like a smart idea have the coke flavor in the country do I think for people who don't consume alcohol because not everybody does what Star Wars villains um go ahead yeah so we went to Walmart um I don't know what day we went to Walmart anyway over the week not even over the weekend was it Tuesday what day did you pick me up Tuesday we went to Walmart and they had Star Wars villainous on clearance at Walmart for so we bought it and then we went to Kentucky Fried Chicken for supper but that is a tree not a flower yes the the Japanese um cherry blossom it is a tree I guess it's considered a flower too H all right moving on this is from wdwmagic.com epcot's communicore Hall debut as Festival Center for 2024 food festival is this where the where is this at the communicore hall I've I know but where at and OT I don't know I haven't been there since it's been there so uh the commun corps Hall at Epcot has opened today as a festival center for the first time hosting food drink and merchandise for the 2024 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival okay well look you can see here there's monreal so depending on where you're standing at the monreal usually comes in on the uh over by the land is that the land right there the top of it possibly yeah okay communicore Hall is now home to a new merchandise store and two new food and wine kiosks uh Mac tiers located inside communicore Hall and Festival Favorites situated outside next to communicore Plaza don't look like I got very much mazers is that is today the first day of food and wine I don't know I believe it might be it might be Hall of half of the Interior Community Hall space available as seating for guest eating at the mazers is am I saying that right mazers mazers and uh Festival Favorites while the other half has been set up as a merchandise location selling Epcot Food and Wine Festival I know a macaroni boo really I wonder what it is I don't know oh here we go here's the during the festival commun Court Hall is open from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 P p.m. we went over this is GNA love this but we already went over this we did yeah we went over this last week or Monday when we went through the uh I remember talking Wine Festival yeah but so their Mac mazers menu is yeah traditional macaroni and cheese and Herb panko for 550 steak cheese steak macaroni and cheese with shaved beef pepper onions and bread breaded crumbs for 550 truffle macaroni and cheese for 650 and possible chili cheese macaroni and cheese with sour cream and cheddar for 650 so there you go that's them right there would you try any of them I'm not big I'm not that big on macaroni and cheese oh my goodness a couple of those look like brains unless you have a smooth brain um by the way Mike we didn't do a shocking dog color that was a big no up next also from all.net the worst decision you can make on Tron light cycle run and Mansion Kingdom to be der it joking I I like the ride I'm just not a Tron fan Tron light cycle run is one of the most popular rides in Disney World right now this Magic Kingdom attraction may be short but wow is it thrilling I got to ride it for the first time earlier this year and it was a whirlwind in the best way possible however I couldn't help but notice that this ride can quickly turn disastrous if you do this one thing here's they're putting monstropolis in over at Hollywood Studios then I think I think moving the LA floor would be a great idea to move it over there now that would leave another open place in tomorrow land like what's already across the street uh but I would love love to see them keep Monsters Inc together and to move that so I'm not saying I I want there to be an open space in tomorrow land because it seems like they can't come up with ideas of what to put in there so I think they need to go back to more uh people like ideas like when they did Alien counter I know it was scary but it was something that was done by it wasn't done by Disney it was done by Lucas before Lucas film was owned by by Disney uh but maybe go to people like that maybe like check out like somebody like James Cameron or one of those filmmakers and say hey if we were to give you what kind of uh ride or experience would you create and say we want a Sci-Fi because of course you we we got it in tomorrow tomorrow land and create some kind of experience I think that would be great what's that oh yeah so but other than that I just I I'm starting agree with a lot of people that uh IP is too too much everywhere uh I really wish they would back it off uh because I mean some of the great experiences whether you're at Disneyland or at Magic Kingdom and Disney World are are the ones that had no IP so uh you know they they're just they kind of we're kind of losing all that interesting stuff and it's all being changed to Disney character Disney stuff and I understand that's a big part of it but I think the way it was always intended was the IP for Disney was always supposed to stay in fantasy land and everything outside of that was supposed to be something unique not something you would find in a Disney movie so I mean I understand there might have been a little subtle things added like in Frontier land you had the Davy Crockett stuff was added like in some of the restaurants but it was just little uh subtle stuff but I really wish that Disney could go back to that but it's they're not going to at Magic Kingdom uh Disneyland will get to keep their Tom Sawyer because that's where Fantasmic is done but unfortunately it's kind of hard to watch this stuff change especially when it's kind of nostalgic for us because it was always there but other than that I think it's going to do it right so uh Mike asked the other night if we will be doing this on Labor Day I know Mike will be traveling to Florida uh doe the fact Labor Day is really not a holiday I don't know though I kind of want to like I want to I know we're supposed to go to Kings Island this weekend but I kind of thought either Sunday or Monday I would like to go to a zoo okay all right so maybe we won't do it so uh if I don't put
