let's get to what I like to refer to as a meat and potatoes it's Ken Auburn and like I alluded to I am going to focus in on the in this game that go this game goes at 3:30 p.m. eastern time on Saturday it'll take place at Auburn and the total right now as we speak is 53 and a half and it's pretty much stayed constant uh from the opening number uh the Auburn Tigers are coming off a 73 to3 lamb basting over an FBS FCS team in Alabama A&M and they scored 52 of those points in the first half with their starters in the game and then of course they went to the backups in the second half but uh again um 628 yards of total offense uh PJ Thorne their starting quarterback was extremely sharp uh in that first half of action going 13 out of 21 for 322 yards and four touchdowns he also ran for 49 yards and a touchdown and the Auburn Tigers averaged an unbelievable 13.7 yards per play on offense against Alabama A&M now granted um Alabama A&M is an FCS team and they're probably not a very good FCS team however that's still uh you can't ignore those types of numbers and Kell comes in off a 3113 home win uh over Kell Davis who's also an FCS team so both teams uh played FCS opposition and not a lot sometimes there's not a lot to could be drawn from uh those conclusions or uh you can't draw conclusions from those types of results I should say and but in this particular instance uh I am going to draw some conclusions uh this is the thing with Kell um even though they want put 31 points up they only put up 204 281 yards of total offense and uh their star running back Jade KN was held to 49 yards but did score two touch s and I'm going to go out on a limb I think that's a kale offense that's a lot better than what they showed against kale Davis and kale Davis is a very good FCS program by the way folks and they've given kale problems in the past uh so uh having said that um I look for a dramatic turnaround from an offensive standpoint for from for Kell I should say a dramatic Improvement for Kel's offense going from from week one to week two and also last year Cal uh entertained Auburn and lost that game 14 to 10 going well under the total of 55 and a half and yet the number here despite Kale's lackluster offensive performance in game one and that low-scoring game last year hasn't changed much it's 53 and a half and I think it's for good reason I think it's it's a fair number and I think this is game is going to go over the total of 53 and a half that's Kalen Auburn over 53 and a half is my free pick for Saturday uh August the 7th in college football all
