walk uh first one um just in a four down uh rushing coverage play struck the dude I thought it was run and then realized it was pass transition and ran down led up in the three knew it was pass I just off the ball as fast as I could threw a move thank for your work what was the second one feel like in particular to CU I'm sure you like coach said not necessarily the way you guys thought it was going to happen but the game is that competitive is that yeah um you can never doubt an opponent um you know I'm saying tips off to my hat off to was a great program um shoot it was a close game I don't think we were expecting it but uh sure just kind of felt like he needed that momentum and I think the next play was sack fumble DJ Haron so just kind of domino effect and just ended up being good again being that close kind of open your guys' eyes that you can't take any light considering that you maybe didn't expect this shoot I mean honestly as a defense I don't I don't feel like you took him lightly I mean there's definitely plays that can take back like the trick play CU a play I I gave up a touchdown on quarterback r it in but um shoot I mean I just go you can't take anybody like so we just got to learn from my mistakes got next week this team right now this game CL thought it be going next week first coach he always says we got to go to the doctor so tomorrow we got meetings some other stuff left we we going see the doctor we know like the whole team's going focus on even though we won you know there's a lot of stuff I know you mentioned the trick plays but what are some other things when you say go to the doctor that you know for sure like you don't even have to watch the film you know there one thing that you're going to be focused on this week how you the next week sure I know for me I know I mentioned that when the quarterback ran it in I play with uh that play was designed for me to make that play and I missed it so just doing my my job to my best that's admirable it's you say it's more of the job but same time that's the goal line like three yard line or something that's not like it's favorable play for the offense so I say like yeah you have job to do no doubt but like that's that's a tough spot so how do you evaluate that like yeah you may have that expectation you're supposed to do that but you are in Gold to go I mean I don't want to sound like cliche but you know what I'm saying no matter what the situation is I feel like as a defense we're always our expectation is always to win you know what I'm saying it could be a whole D line hurt we got you know what I'm saying we're on we're on our own one our expectation is to stop it you know what I'm saying so sure how how do you about this fing like we've only ran like 47 plays you had seven tfls at defense four sacks all right you point out the two plays and that's about it so that's why it's like how do you it was a close game close than you expected but I'm not sure this a defensive issue you had more takeaways more tfls like how do you balance like evaluating how you guys really played as a defense well obious seen the whole film yet so there's probably some other stuff know we haven't seen but um I don't know I mean even if we did play good it's it's always just like where can we get better where can we where's the CH in the armor you know what I'm saying where can we improve I'm not out there with the offense if I if I was out there with the offense I would speak on it but um they did what they needed to do I'm pretty sure they have stuff they can improve on so I can I can really only speak for the defense what was the move in the locker room after this one um you know what I'm saying win is a win but definitely like at the same time this coach lik to say we we won we had the result we wanton it but the process wasn't the one we won you know what I'm saying so we wanted we we you want to get the result and the process and when it's not the process um just got to fix it you know I'm saying defense stood up you got how encouraging is that first game of the year after long off to see that what you guys are doing is working the process I mean I think it's really exciting you know what I'm saying starting from in the offseason we got some new faces you know what I'm saying the D Line new faces in we back in just seeing everybody kind of come as a Brotherhood but we still growing you know what I'm saying we still growing everybody come together and trying to build that defensive culture is like the best in the NAIA and I feel like he has some steps forward today in that um sure I feel like we going to keep on stepping you a chance in the off to take a Bo stage running back was one of the better ones in the country at we're 250 yards rushing at six touchdowns today so just let that challenge my play I haven't looked in on Boise State I've heard of the running back um shoot I mean we're playing us every week you know what I'm saying I feel like if we we play the r standard I don't think we can lose the game but he is good you know what I'm saying we'll have to stop what can you say about Brian Johnson and just what he needs to he needs to be St short time yeah yeah no he's he's like a little firecracker out there man he uh play Star you know what I'm saying you have the cover some situations you have to come down in boxing try and play to run you can always have a small and you I think he has the bigger back on the team especially with his pick today just the energy he brings
