how's it going been a couple weeks for you just what's it been like going for being a guy signed in just a few weeks ago to getting three sacks last two games uh it's a blessing cuz three weeks ago I didn't know where I was going to be I was at home delivering beers for a beer company and when I got that car I just made the most of my opportunity what company were you delivering for southern beverages what was that southern bever where was that in Mississippi what part of Mississippi R Mississippi what they say we can tell you had to quit to come play for football I did I quit actually I quit two days before and then two days after I end up getting a call so I was like look at God were you working out at all trying to keep I was I was training every day after the practice you know being prepared for the moment when it came and I was ready when it came this was in between the time when you were at the Seahawks rookie Camp as a try out and that between when they call you to bring you back and what early off yes it was um I got hired um beginning of July and made the tours end and that's when I got to call Seattle in August were you surprised I guess to not have any you know you were here and they didn't sign yet and nobody else sign you either or me what you think uh honestly I was surprised because I do I do think that I have the talent to play this league so um but I just stayed ready for the moment I didn't give up I didn't let that discourage me I kept training every day my agent telling me keep at we going to be on the team this fall and I just trusted them and I stay prepar for the moment when you say you didn't give up you you've had a a bit of a crazy path going to Community College and then you had some injuries at South Alabama just how did all that stuff kind of help you be able to move through adversity uh it may me who I am today I walked on to the Community College so that that gave me that fire that drive motivation to get better each and every day and I I just never settle I never I'm never getting complacent I'm always working each and every day to get better and trying to improve myself jam it seems like you're more productive in pro games preseason games than you even were in college is it something about the scheme something about the fit that's working for you're here um I think it's a different scheme this scheme is a lot more fun it it it opens up for me to be able to pass be who I truly am a pass R so I think that this game allows me be who I truly am I saw you were listed like 265 in college but they got they got you 254 yoube lost some weight and stuff like that uh yes I actually I did lose weight I lost weight for pro day to be able to get my 40 time down to run what I wanted to run and I lost weight then and I've been maintaining the same weight now so is that like do you think that's helped obviously it has it has it has inre my speed the penalty what else can you do you make a great play to get to the quarterback you still get called The Penalty uh I tried my best to to hold up on the ground when I when I was falling I tried to brace for it at the end and honestly don't know how I got caught I tried my best to brace did anyone give you static about that or was that uh I mean the head coach came in and you know he did his job you know telling us we got to hit the quarterback properly and you got to learn and grow from it D you with the Seahawks in the mini Camp obviously you didn't sign then what what did they tell you about like your chances to come back uh they told me I was on the short list they told me I had a great Rend Camp they told me that um for a guy cuz I my flight was delayed so I came in a day later they told me for a guy that came in a day later that they was impress how well I pick up the plays and how fast I can go execute them and it was just they told me I was on weight list and I and I when once I heard that I just stayed prepared for the moment just kept working every day did you believe him I did believe him I I I I trusted him and I I held on to it so did you get to the facility like the day of the first practice or did you miss the first day of the mini camp practice um I think I came in um I think the exact day was August 6 so I came in on the first week of preseason that Tuesday oh first preseason game I got you anything else thank you Jamie appreciate it d
