Of course, birdie and the 49er, they're about to get their season started tonight against the New York Jets. That game is going to air tonight again right here on local five A B C's Zorine Shah has a preview for us. The New York Jets taking on the San Francisco 49 Ers in the Monday night football opener, the Jets pinning their hopes on their 40 year old quarterback. You always have something to it. Just kind of changes who you're proven that I think the old you get back on the field one year after rupturing his achilles in the first series as a Jet on the same Monday night stage four time. MVP Aaron Rodgers knows what he can do for the Super Bowl star franchise. I have a lot of pride in my performance. So when I take the field, I expect greatness because I've done it before. So that's kind of standard to hold myself on the other side. The 49 Ers are trying to get back to the Super Bowl after a heartbreaking overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The team getting a huge lift when rookie wide receiver Ricky Pierce salt returned to the facility two days after being shot in the chest during the attempted robbery last weekend. It's kind of been amazing just watching them for him to be able to walk around and stuff with that happening and talking to people at the, er, you know, saying out of 100 people, two people have survived that and to be able to see him the next day and just that he's able to walk, he's coming to meetings. He's doing all that not yet cleared to play. It will be a gift to have him in the stadium. Two teams with Super Bowl hopes many players grateful to step on the field. There's always a perspective moment during the anthem uh to collect your thoughts and kind of send gratitude out to the universe for the opportunity to be staying on the field in pads.
