Sarah Burton Is Givenchy's New Creative Director

after nine months of being without a creative lead xoni has just hired Sarah Burton to become the next creative director for the French luxury fashion house as some of you may know Sarah spent her entire fashion career previously at Alexander McQueen she worked there for 26 years starting her career in 1997 before leaving the company last year while working alongside Alexander McQueen she worked her way up from being an intern to becoming his Protegé as the Director of Wom wear up until his passing in 2010 she then immediately was promoted to continue his legacy as the creative director for the brand it did so until 2023 just last week I made a video discussing why it's been taking so long for xoni to hire a new creative director and one of the reasons was the need to hire a new CEO which they did when they hired alesandro Valente for the position just two months ago in July however even before hiring the new CEO it seems like M may have had the idea that they wanted Sarah burn for this position all along a lot of big fashion house creative director positions have a one-year non-compete clause in their contracts which means they're not allowed to work for a competing brand for a year while Sarah left Alexander McQueen on September 10th 2023 and now xoni is introducing her as the new creative director exactly one year later
