[Music] I'm gonna do somewhat of a unusual review today and look at my pen zis spice order this is a company I've been ordering from for over a decade I have a shameful amount of their products and a giant turntable of spices and they're by far the most high-quality products I've ever found as far as spices go and the owner Bill pennsie is actually a super nice guy and you know does a lot of kind of humanitarian type philosophy there's a lot of that kind of work and it's just a really worthwhile company to spend your money with so I'm gonna kind of review the things I got in this order and talk a little bit about them since I ordered a variety of different items I think all together the items in this box cost me I think it was sixty one dollars and 73 cents and that includes the shipping so let's take a look and see what I got first of all let's talk about the packaging they packaged this stuff up I mean I think I could survive a bomb I mean it is honestly really wrapped nice and tight and protective paper which is great because everything's in black yards for the most part all right our first item is sunny Paris seasoning this is one of my personal favorites as why I ordered such a large jar of it I use this and soups and stews and casseroles and on chicken it's just there's so many different things that you can do with this spice it's really really good turn it around here so you can see what's in it yeah so I mean I use this so much that I have to order it by a giant jar or I just run out of it so quickly it looks like what's inside is shallots chives peppercorns basil French tarragon chervil which is not something I'm familiar with actually and bay leaf and dill weed super awesome I love it in soup okay they have some granulated air-dried shallots this is not a product of theirs I've tried before it was actually a freebie that I got in the box so I love shallots I look forward to using that I'm sure chili pepper I definitely use this a seasoned chicken and just about every Mexican style dish that I make it's actually great as a rub along with their barbecue of the Americas if you want to make a roasted chicken or something like that it's a raid on fajitas tacos and chili really really good stuff and we have some Mitchell Street steak seasoning which again must have been a free because I have absolutely no idea what this is and I've never ordered it before it is salt Tellicherry black pepper paprika sugar garlic onion dill weed lemon peel cardamom citric acid and natural smoked flavor in allspice mmm that sounds really good it almost seems like something I'd want to put on some pulled pork rather than steak so I'll definitely look forward to trying that and another freebie they sent Henze cinnamon I order so much stuff from these guys I think I have like 6 or 7 of these tiny jars of cinnamon so I guess I better start baking again can't say enough about the packaging job I ordered from these people countless times over the last decade and I have never had a jar come practice and we have of course another sunny Paris here's another freebie sometimes they'll send you these little packets Mitchell Street steak seasoning which is the same thing that we had here in the glass jar a lot of their products as a side note something I didn't mention come in various different sizes you can get a 1 ounce size you know there's just a whole bunch of different sizes actually I shouldn't really say it like that because different things weigh different amounts so you can get like a 2 cup jar or 1 cup jar or a half cup jar or 1/4 cup jar some of the seasonings also come in very large bags if you use a lot of abundance of something unfortunately the sunny Paris doesn't come that way or I would have definitely just ordered it in a large bag more shallots that was a freebie Ozark style seasoning this is one of my favorite things to put on these foil packets I put on the grill so what I usually do is I get some kind of bratwurst or sausage from the local market and I take some foil spray some cooking spray you put the sausage on there and then you can just fill it with all kinds of different vegetables whatever you like I usually do onions yellow peppers potatoes shallots you can do broccoli or asparagus or a zucchini or squash or whatever you like to eat put it all in the foil packet put a little few little tabs of butter douse everything with some Ozark style seasoning and it comes out amazing so good takes about 20 minutes on the grill Italian herb mix I really like this one I use this on a lot of like pizza sauce that I make and I sprinkle it on into the breading when I make eggplant parmesan or chicken parmesan this is just a great all-around Italian herb mix and in this we have Turkish oregano basil marjoram thyme and cracked rosemary sorry if I'm not necessarily pronouncing some of these properly but this is a good thing to always keep around the house you'll be surprised how many uses you'll find for it and of course basil God always have basil great for your meat for making anything Italian all right so here's everything that came in the box again I think it cost me I think it was sixty one seventy three for all of this stuff just divide it up here I think these things here we're all three B's so these are the things that I actually ordered was this pile here I think those are the things that I actually ordered and I think these were all freebies the Mitchell Street the two things are the shallots and of course the pennsie cinnamon and they also threw another Mitchell Street in there with it so all in all not too bad and they're well well worth the price paid they're fresh they're high-quality and they really have added a lot of life to a lot of the favorite dishes I like to make so if you're into cooking or know anybody who's into cooking definitely give this company a try their website is really user friendly the descriptions are great they're almost always running some on a promotion where you can get a whole bunch of you know free little sample size that's what I call them as sample size jars of things like these little guys here it's it's awesome a lot of these things that you see in front of you I only discovered because they sent me freebies the sunny Paris I believe was one of them the ancho chile was another of the Italian herb mix was another these are just things that they've given out over the years that I tried in some of my dishes and I love them so much I just started keeping them around the house so it's very smart of them from a marketing standpoint because I have a feeling they make a lot of sales by giving away little free samples like they do with this packet here so that's pennsie spices they
