[Music] the regular season hasn't even started yet and the Buffalo Bills have been hit hard by injuries as a matter of fact here's what their roster looks like right now these injuries have also infected the quarterback room but thankfully for the bills Josh Allen remains healthy both backups that were originally rostered by the bills heading into the preseason Shane Belle and Mitch trabis have suffered preseason injuries and they're set to miss some time bushell's injury has him sidelined and he's likely to spend the entire season on the injured reserve meanwhile trabis is set to miss multiple weeks after suffering an injury against Pittsburgh over the weekend according to sha mcdermit in the wake of these injuries the bills have made some signings for the quarterback depth chart last week it was Ben denucci that was added to the squad and most recently the bills are reportedly signing quarterback Anthony Brown no not him that's Antonio Brown I said Anthony Brown welcome back to the bills bunker I'm Jake Varco and today the Buffalo Bills made a signing it was a signing they added Anthony Brown reportedly and Anthony Brown there's some there's some stuff to talk about with Anthony Brown we will break down Anthony Brown and what this means for the Buffalo Bills roster what impact can he make on this team and will he even be on the team come week one let's break it down let's talk about Anthony Brown as we approach the third and final game of the preseason on Saturday the Buffalo Bills roster has been hit hard by injuries and Shan mcdermit says the starters will not play in this game as the team understandably wants to prevent further damage and that obviously includes Josh Allen not being active on Saturday with that the bills needed to roster another quarterback alongside Ben denucci and that's why they've gone ahead and added Anthony Brown into the mix the 26-year-old has just one NFL regular season start and that came back in 2022 with the Baltimore Ravens in a week 18 game that they lost to Cincinnati by a score of 27-6 in that loss Brown completed 19 of 44 passes for 286 yards with two interceptions and and a goose egg in the touchdown column so this game wasn't exactly anything to write home about but the bills are desperate for someone to take preseason snaps right now brown did however have some really solid production at the Collegiate level with the Oregon Ducks as he was named the starting signal caller under Center in 2021 and he helped his team to a 10 and4 record by passing for a Pack 12 leading 2989 yards and he had 28 total touchdowns he's a dual threat quarterback that had some success at the college level but that collegate success simply hasn't translated to the NFL for someone who's an undrafted quarterback it is highly highly unlikely that brown does anything notable for the bills they simply brought him in to take preseason snaps and that's most likely it the injury to Mitch trabis could carry over into the regular season and if that's the case the bills will need to carry one of bonucci or Anthony Brown on the roster behind Josh Allen on the active 53 man roster unless of course they make another addition at the position which seems highly unlikely at this point to add my two cents into this conversation Mitch trabis has shown some really uninspiring efforts in this preseason and he just hasn't looked good at all he's looked lost out there the bills are obviously really lucky to have Josh Allen but heaven forbid something were to happen to Josh Allen it seems like their backup plan is non-existent because Mitch trabis won't cut it even if he is healthy Ryan tanah Hill is still on the free agent market and although he's not going to blow anybody away he' definitely be a better backup option than anything that the Bills currently have rostered so Anthony Brown the addition of the day for the Buffalo Bills in the wake of these injuries to the quarterback room the Buffalo Bills they have been hit hard by injury and the season haven't hasn't even started yet not a good start to the year for the bills I mean it it's looking pretty bleak right now but the Buffalo Bills have Josh Allen and that's what you got to keep telling yourself they have one of the top quarterbacks in the game and those quarterbacks are game changers Anthony Brown I'm not sure he's going to be a game changer for the Buffalo Bills but he is brought in here to get some reps throughout the preseason and he's going to be likely competing with Ben denucci to see who's going to be carried on the quarterback dep chart heading into week one assuming that Mitch trabis remains uh injured but I I don't see the Buffalo Bills moving on for Mitch trabis because he's theone that the bills like in the front office seems to get along with Josh Allen well he's been in the system before back in 2021 as well but Anthony Brown is the newest edition for the Buffalo Bills let me know your thoughts
