John neighbors alongside Curtis wilgers and Andrew Ellis and fellas we've officially made it to game day Eve it is a Friday and I don't know like we've talked so much about Arkansas and Oklahoma State it's still going to be something we talk about because there's some news to get to but we're here game day Eve actually having a college football Saturday for the Razer backs for change it'll be nice yeah this time tomorrow Arkansas will be up 14 to nothing and we'll be feeling uh pretty good about how things are trending yep it's a lot of optimism over there coming from someone who's uh apparently ready to to fire Sam Pitman based on our show title today I can't wait to dive into that oh yeah yeah that's what I that's why I titled at that because I'm talking about firing Sam Pitman today you know not tomorrow after the game but today that's when it's all going to go down but uh yeah we'll get to all your chats folks we'll look ahead to the college football weekend and I way in the SC but across the entire landscape uh we'll also talk about basketball too and we'll get to the topic of conversation of course with the uh the title of today's stream but uh we do got to bring up if you want to call it breaking news it can be that but uh it's been reported that Jaden Wilson is no longer with the Razorback football team and you know what first it was Eli Stein and now we got Jaden Wilson wheels are falling off according to everybody but uh little little surprising but also oh I don't know like I don't really know how to react or how to feel about this with Jaden Wilson leaving the team today I'm not really going to react or feel any type of way about it at all um I think this was a a thing a few days ago that he made official today on social media and uh you know he played eight snaps against uapb so I I think the writing was kind of on the wall about where he was at on the uh on the depth chart with this Arkansas Team and honestly um at this stage of his career I didn't realize that Jaden Wilson had graduated I saw that in his his post so um I don't know for certain but it could be a situation where he wants to play and and wants to have the opportunity and only has so much eligibility left so it would make sense if you you know like I think he was third string on the depth chart what for whatever that's worth that they released and didn't play much in the opener and you might just want to kind of preserve that eligibility and and get a fresh start elsewhere if that's the case then certainly wish him uh the best of luck but we've talked so much you know about these receivers and who is really in the mix and who's not and it's just kind of one less mouth to to worry about feeding I guess yeah I think throughout fall camp and really the offseason as a whole I think he and TLA were the two guys who played a lot for Arkansas last year that we kind of thought hey are they gonna replace these guys are they going to magically take steps forward like what's going to happen there TL who is no longer or I guess he started the other day but kind of fell out of that starting rotation but we started hearing towards the end of fall Camp oh he was still kind of around he made it clear like oh he's not going anywhere he caught a couple touchdowns in the scrimmages uh looked pretty good last week and so he kind of was still fighting but Jaden Wilson was the guy that seemed to get completely lost in the shuffle like we didn't hear his name one time during fall Camp uh during any scrimmage any practice any position coach we talked to any player nobody said anything about Jaden Wilson and then you know you see the depth chart and you kind of realize okay he really did just get lost in the shuffle there uh this is also a dude who's had a ton of injuries throughout his career I he's been banged up almost every year he's been at Arkansas and we got in like a car accident last spring that kept him out for a little bit so he's kind of had a full full career at Arkansas of like ups and downs and playing a little bit here and there and you know it's unfortunate for him that it didn't really work out as a storybook ending where he got to finish out on a high note um and so yeah there you have it AR is their second scholarship guy leave the team um you know it's one of those things from a outside perspective you could look at it and be like two scholarship guys quit the team in a matter of weeks like what's going on there but when you look at both cases neither of them are super surprising and don't seem like a massive deal but I'll be interested to hear if Sam Pitman has a comment I'm sure he'll be asked about it either Saturday or maybe Monday at his press conference but I'll be interested to hear what he has to say but it definitely seems like a case of a guy just kind of wanting to go spend his last year of Eligibility doing something else and uh you know Jadon it I was I was interested by how positively he spoke of Arkansas in his statement which I'm sure someone told him to do but uh yeah it didn't s me like there's a ton of like super bad blood it's just kind of like you said riding on the wall well to to your point just real quick about um you know Jaden having some good things to say about Arkansas and everything in his statement um I do remember you know this time last year how many times did we hear Sam Pitman talk about how Jaden Wilson and Jaden Johnson were the two guys who had made the biggest strides in terms of what they're asking him to do and having the right attitude and just almost like kind of turning things around from maybe a trajectory that wasn't where they wanted him to head uh obviously Jaden Johnson kind of emerged as a as a starter and now he's apparently an extension of the coaching staff and everything else but just a real key piece to that defense and you know Jaden Wilson had his moments there and when you hear that where it sounds like you know it was a guy who was who was struggling and maybe it wasn't working out for him and then he gets a lot of Praise from the head coach you know last year and had his moments and then you know to see it not work out for him that's that that's sad because you like to see guys who try to do things the right way so um hopefully that is the case you know it's just a situation of of wanting to find greener pastures and opportunity elsewhere um but you know you you hate to see guys leave but I'm with you Andrew where I think if you look at the specific situations instead of taking the 40,000 foot view of well they got these scholarship guys just quitting left and right then I think you you get a pretty good perspective of what's really going on I don't think it's any sound for alarm well in his uh statement if for those of you may not have missed it when he post on social media said quote I want to thank the University of Arkansas for providing me with an exceptional environment to grow both academic Al and athletically I also want to give thanks to the and state how proud I am to be a graduate of the University of Arkansas I'm looking forward to the next chapter of my life as long as I will continue to dedicate myself to playing at the highest level of college football I love the sport and my passion to play is greater than ever I would like to wish the best to all the coaches and players at the University of Arkansas and I will be cheering for all of you so yeah that was uh that was pretty great to see uh you know the way where're you know this day and age in college football can't really be surprised any by transfers or what's going to be thrown around a little bit but uh you know just taking them as his word and taking him like what he's had to say was true and that's how he feels about the University of Arkansas you know I'm G to look at it as you know this just goes to show you that a lot of cases it's not just oh somebody got screwed or somebody hates somebody or you know somebody doesn't like where they're at so they're bouncing sometimes it's just you know best for both parties to move on and both parties accept it and respect it and do it so uh I'm going to take him at his word and everything but luckily for Arkansas they do have a few wide receivers that can step up and uh you know be able to be part of that depth and since he only didn't play that much anyways again you don't want to see it happen but it happened and that's the way college football is right now nothing but the best of luck to him trying to think of any play that I remember Jaden Wilson making like in his career at Arkansas that stood out last year's opener the first touchdown of the year that's right took that uh took that bubble screen to the house that was uh that was supposed to be his coming out party that's right yeah I did forget about that well there you go so there you go that was the that was the thing I remember him the one thing I remember about him is that inde not Independence Bowl uh Liberty Bowl sorry don't don't don't don't to get my my bowls mixed up there but uh AR remember they didn't have anybody in that game Landers played but like Hazelwood was out I feel like KRON Jackson had already entered the transfer portal so like they had Harper Cole out there starting a receiver but I remember Jaden Wilson catching like three passes in that game and I was like Hey sh sign of the future Jaden Wilson yeah well didn't work out for him uh at least here Arkansas but he'll have some uh little time to have some eligibility left and to move on with it but you know Arkansas and then Sam Pitman and everybody got bigger fish to fry right now is getting prepared for Oklahoma State I guess I assume they probably already made the trip over there right like they're probably there now right I I mean um I don't know we're headed over there at least yeah yeah they're busing or flying you think they they're busing right they're not tra and ask so we'll never know man that's slipping man Trey slipping on the big big hitting stuff nobody has the the game day operations covered like Trey that dude always is like hey what Y what what's the what's the plan like what's the schedule like he's on it and I'm always interested to kind of hear but it's not something that you necessarily write about which is interesting he's also good about asking when they go on the road he like okay so you're going to Oklahoma are you gonna have the staff out ctin or what you know so yeah said those things that's it's not like hard-hitting but it's just interesting to know what's happening it's interesting so well uh now that we know that tomorrow of course is the game and reminder folks we're going to be live from Eskimo Joe's They're in Still Water apparently right outside the door uh hanging out so I'm sure people won't yell obscenities at us or anything while we're on live there but still be a lot of fun we'll be colleting the covers oh dude man that's this is we I feel like and I know you guys feel the same way you know we do this every single day we we do live streams you guys write articles you put everything together it's like man we have talked about this we have previewed this we have busted it down and everything uh to the limb as far as matchups and everything but I guess going to the question of the title of the Stream So that way people can stop just assuming we're I'm calling for someone's head to be fired is this like the type of game in where for Sam Pitman this this season's big but this is the game that feels like if he loses it and if Arkansas loses it it's it's just really going to be it's going to put such in a difficult spot to be able to you have any sort of vast improvement from last year which is going to make people get really down on the dumps and jumping off the wagon uh maybe I'm just being over dramatic about this game but that's how the game feels to me heading into tomorrow well from the outside looking in you know a lot of national media and Talking Heads have kind of circled this is a really big important game for Sam Pitman in Arkansas and we've been calling it a swing game you know since the schedule came out I think the biggest thing about it is it's just um if you lose this game it just it it hurts the momentum it kills the momentum because you got a little bit of a Feelgood against uapb um andless like Arkansas's you know projected to lose this game which is kind of weird that that Line's moving the way it is I guess we'll talk about that shortly but um you know I I don't think a lot of people outside of you know the walls of the fan base are really expecting Arkansas to go over there and win they're certainly capable uh but it's a momentum thing for me like you get this win you feel like the program is trending in the right direction uh if they lose then it's almost like all those questions you thought were uh were maybe eliminated or all those that that bad taste you had in your mouth from last season the questions the concerns that have been outweighed by the optimism of a new football season they kind of start to creep back in a little bit and I just I don't know about you guys or back fans but I don't want to feel that way and I guarantee you Sam Pitman doesn't want to feel that way so um ideally they just get it done and uh and we move on in happiness yeah I mean we touched on this a little bit on Monday uh talking about whether or not it was a must-win and I I don't think it's a must-win and I don't think it's gonna be one of those things we like oh if they lose pitman's pitman's out of there uh but whatever you and your expectations or your goals are for this Arkansas football team whether it's six wins eight wins 10 wins whatever your path to that likely includes this game uh and you know I think this is it's it's hard not to ignore or hard to ignore that this is a swing game just a massive swing game you win this game you can talk me into a lot of things if you lose this one it's a little bit tougher especially knowing that you've got those Auburn A&M LSU Tennessee games kind of on the horizon in the short future so you know if Arkansas loses this game there are certainly paths back to you know making a bowl game or doing whatever they want to accomplish I mean confers play hadn't even started yet uh but I I agree with you Curtis like it would definitely be a little bit of a momentum killer and honestly I mean John you posed the the poll question on Twitter and how however I mean it was like 70% last I checked hog fans expecting them to win this game which obviously doesn't match the natural or the national perspective but it's like if so many of you are so convinced that Arkansas is gonna win this game then I think you have to acknowledge the other side of the coin of if they lose this game it would be a little bit not deflating but it would little it would be a little bit of a buzz kill and it would make you re-evaluate how you feel about this team moving forward uh but I also think we got to talk about the good side it would be such a big opportunity for Arkansas to pick up a marquee win a relieving like program defining not program defining but like kind of announcement to the world like hey this program is back on track everything's fine if you win this game which is why I think losing especially if it ends up being a close one would be a little bit tough to overcome yeah because I mean listen this both teams want this but I feel like just talking to some Oklahoma State people they look at it as just beating an SEC team that that that's going to mean something to them like that's they don't want they already have a feeling about the SEC like most people do outside the conference and then you add in that their biggest rival in in State team Oklahoma jumped to the SEC and then because of that they're like ah we're not going to play you guys anymore there's some there's there's a little pettiness a little saltiness there from that and AR has nothing to do with that but still there's just something about if a team outside the conference beats an SEC team especially in the regular season it's gonna I hate to use the term from n but it just it's going to mean a lot more it's G to mean more to them and so uh you know they even if Oklahoma State loses this game to Arkansas I still think they'll have a good year in the Big 12 but if Arkansas loses this game to Oklahoma State it's hard for me to say that they'll have a good year in the SEC that's what's tough it's it's a weirdly important game for Oklahoma State too I know there are more Pathways to get there but if you look at it like with the 12 team playoff Oklahoma State's kind of I mean it's a real real istic goal for them this season whether we think they're as good as their record or their rankings as they are or not uh you know you get into the the top Echelon of the Big 12 uh you handle your business in the non-conference like it you can sneak into that conversation so uh the last thing those guys want to do is go out there and lose to a you know an SEC team that fairly or not is just not projected to do much of anything this year um that's a that's a bad look for them and so it's uh it's kind of an interesting contrast between we view it and how some of them view it um I think there's a a little bit of a more of a respect Factor because people saw what Arkansas did to uapb and it's like okay maybe these guys are better than the 4 and8 and the 14th and the SEC or whatever but the sense I've gotten from a lot of Oklahoma State fans and I have H I have some family who went to Oklahoma State who are alone there and they just kind of feel like why is this even a conversation we're a top 20 team and just you know unranked SEC team that hasn't won many games coming over here like yeah of course we're going to win it it to a lot of them it's almost like not even in question it's weird I like what our guy brim here has to say where he says going into the Auburn game two- one would feel completely different than three and0 and he's right what this game really does is it determines how much pressure is on that upcoming stretch where you're facing those SEC teams all in a row there you know if you win this game you're going in you could kind of accept a loss to Auburn and then you know you'll get up the A&M game but you lose this game it all of a sudden puts a lot of pressure on those next two games away from home where it's like like you almost have to steal one just to stay afloat and not lose everybody here and I think the fan base would agree with that if Arkansas loses Tomorrow there's going to be a lot of pressure on the that impending road trip and so I I I definitely don't think it's we can overstate this is an important game like there there's no way around that yeah it's important for many reasons besides just the game but for the season and even for legacies and ten years and everything it there's a lot riding on it but Curtis you brought it up a little bit and yeah we're definitely going to talk about it is we were texting our group CH chat this morning about the line and the betting line uh just yesterday at least last time I checked it it was at minus 7 and a half Oklahoma State and now it's at minus 9 a half Oklahoma State now betting's crazy sometimes there's reasons behind certain things I certainly doubt that the announcement of Jaden Wilson leaving has had any bearing on the spread and what direction it's going but uh that was uh quite the thing you talking about a two-point jump there suddenly on the Friday before the game uh it makes you kind of Wonder okay so why though why why are the betters and why is everybody favoring Oklahoma state that much in just one single day Vegas is smart man they know what they're doing he's right and also I I I'm G it's going to be interesting to monitor the next 24 hours frankly because these lines are always moving you look at it one minute especially leading up to the game you see it move back and forth so much I know there's a lot of sharks out there who like to do the thing where they'll put a lot of money earlier in the week to get the line at a different number so they can put even more money on that different line so we'll see if it starts to creep back down towards Arkansas you you start to feel pretty good but uh I I think about last week in Oklahoma State uh I went to go betam at minus 10 because I was like you know I just I feel good about that number and then 20 minutes before kickoff it jumps up to minus 14 uh which is just I mean it was literally 30 minutes before kick too was pretty wild uh so I don't know Vegas has something going on with Oklahoma State I don't know if you know maybe maybe this future Scandal future ESPN 30 for30 that we're we're being a part of here but there's something fishy going on down there in still water and it makes me nervous whatever it is I don't like it we've had about a dozen people in the chat say Landon Jackson's not playing yeah I think I think that it might have been one of those things where the one person said it and now everyone's just running with it but uh I haven't I haven't heard anything or seen anything like official on that front but yeah per I mean that would be something that would move the line not not as much as Jaden Wilson no no obviously not as much the whole uh the whole Ali Gordon situation gets infinitely more complicated if Landon Jackson ain't planned yeah that that's brutal that changes everything but uh well pigpen was actually saying he's on Landon Jackson was on the buzz this morning says they were taking the bus so he Le had that part of it didn't mention about whether he's playing not playing or not but he did mention oh by the way I'm not playing yeah are taking the bus yeah see you later in it but no listen we haven't heard anything on Lon Jackson not playing so we're not like going to go with whoever said it in the chat and just be like oh well you know that's good enough for me uh it looks like their evidence is there but uh shout out to fish man hard enough it's their own damn fault thank you thank you for the the Super Chat there but it's their own fault they did this to themselves with the war memorial thing with the Southwest classic the neutral they they do both of those games early like it's their own fault they signed stupid contracts is the answer yes that that would be why yeah because if it wasn't for the game in L Rock and then the game in Arlington you're talking about having three games in fville in the first five games which is pretty normal what's is what normal teams do normal programs so yeah if anybody ever has that thing that they throw out they're like why is it this way with the schedule that's why I'll tell you the concept of playing games on your campus I don't know why it's so hard for people to grasp why we why we would want that to happen but uh yeah it would be cool if they could play play in fville a little bit more yeah cuz what was it last year was it was in five different places in five games but I think Arkansas's first faval game was Kent State but then they didn't have another one for like another four or five games I feel so yeah it like that BYU and they went BYU and then they didn't come back until like FIU or something stupid like that yeah that's what it felt like but uh yeah that's just going to be the way it is and at least the Arlington game will be over and done with so you won't have to worry about that one anymore so there there's that uh but you know this this one against Oklahoma State though is looked it up it's not going to be played again until 2027 in fville so it's not like they have the home at home which is going to be a little bit interesting because for the most part you've had games where it's just been back toback whether it's the BYU game or the Colorado State game or Texas Tech or TCU uh Texas was the only one that was had a long span between it when 08 and 21 but the reason that was is because Arkansas didn't want to play A&M and Texas in the same year uh in a non-conference game so uh that's what's going to be a little bit unique is playing a one game oneoff and then having to wait a few years down the road until you play him again in fville who well who knows even what that'll happen or what maybe in the conference for all we know that could be happening so um see uh wanted to bring this up because heartbroken hog was like Hey have y'all seen the hype video with LC has yet oh we did yeah we did in fact we have it and we'll play it for you so that way if you missed it yeah it's pretty it's pretty something man it's pretty something it's been said There Ain't No Love in Oklahoma and between these 180 Mi you certainly ain't going to find any a bright bright sunshiny day and Oklahoma State awaited the Razer back at Bill Walker it's been 44 years since we met old friend a lot has changed since then new players new coaches and new conferences but what hasn't changed is our Relentless hunger these are the games we spent all offseason working for to go on the road and show the nation what Arkansas is all about play your damn ass [Applause] off we have had plenty of shootouts in the past what will this year's ballot have in store Hogs pokes Saturday so Saddle Up Cowboy cuz these Hogs are about to run wild all right it's better than last week's I'll definitely say that it's definitely better than last week's I thought um I want to talk just a second about the logistics of this thing where when did this when did they shoot this Luke has stuff like did they take him to Oklahoma on a random like on Tuesday and do this this shoot or did they do this preseason or like what's what's the story there uh feel like it would have to be like I mean they could have done it at any point in time but I thought it was during the week so yeah they probably did it a preseason deal I would assume just having him over there walking in his uh in his home and everything but yeah it was better than last week I'll give him that I'm sorry it's just got to be better guy come on come on like it's just are we just going to keep doing the same script where we've got you know a player mon tone reading off of a q card and then you get a random Sam Pitman play your damn ass off and that's like the only emotion that comes out of it like if he was saying it with his chest there like the words were great but if he put a little o behind it then yeah maybe I would get a chill you know on the you like the hair on the back of my neck would actually stand up uh come on man like Luke has is such a good football player know he's probably going to have a you know a role in a movie at some point I know he's a better actor than that I know he is let's hope when he's 37 sorry it has to be when he like uh when he enters his Travis Kelce era where he's yeah you know dating a pop star and he's uh he's in a movie role I actually saw Travis Kelce just he's in some TV show now or whatever let's hope he's had a little bit more time to hone his craft but he didn't like the in between these are he's like doing the whole stretch thing like I mean that that was cool and then the like the Hogs are gonna run wild like that was great but you know it just say with your chest man I like the it's been 44 years old friend yeah yeah that was one of those lines where I'm like dude when they wrote that on paper they're like dude that's G to that's going to be a good one that's going to stick and then when you hear it rad you're like yeah didn't it sounded so forced like but you guys are right it was better than last week's for sure right no but that was that was going to be my joke is like seeing that it's like okay in in context or at least in by itself it's okay it's pretty fine but then you just continue to see some of the other videos that all these other schools put out and you're like oh well know like the one that USC put out last week or whatever with the like yeah that was that was nice use AI a little bit you know yeah it exists for a reason it exists for this exact thing No One's Gonna shame you I I I tweeted that USC one was like man this is electric I had so many Razer back fans in my mentions about it like okay yeah was it no it was terrible Trojans weren't in the Trojan forse like they were just going nuts about it and I'm like all right USC they did clearly not understand the concept of the Trojan Horse thing it seemed no but then again it's like like that's my favorite thing is when you see something awesome and cool like that and it's like oh excuse me um that's not how the Trojan Horse work it's like it's like an action movie it's like you see a car like make this jump over a a bridge and it's really cool and it looks awesome like oh man uh excuse me that's not actually possible the laws of gravity do not allow that like yeah thanks you know what I would have done for this one if I was if I was Arkansas I would have hung a huge Razorback pinata over Boon picking stadium and then I would have had Bobby patrino ride a motorcycle directly into it pinata explodes all the Razer back players fall out onto the field and future uh future hype video director Curtis Wilkerson I'm just saying it' be some Spielberg work right there man that if that happeny like that would get people hyped is when people don't it's like cuz I'm with Curtis 100% the the the the comments about like you know this we're a proud damn State it's like it's great but you gotta start doing something different man like you gotta start you got to start getting creative almost going like hey all right let's find the player that would be awesome and have a big personality that would get into it get them and make that happen like don't force people who are uncomfortable in that situation or don't really like doing it or don't like talking get the ones like dude get cudy to do something man that guy would be awesome he would have been good for this one yeah yeah yeah Carmona would be good as well uh Curtis and I issued some challenges on today's pot of that nature which by the way go check that out after the show because it's a banger we were challenging which Razorbacks need to step up I'm issuing another challenge whoever does the hype video next week hopefully y'all haven't pre-recorded it or whatever really commit to the bit like just go over the top like almost be dramatic to where PE where Razer back fans are complaining in the comments like hey this guy's really haming it up a little bit just go over the top I feel like Carmona would be really good at that uh yeah Maris Robinson would be would be a lot of fun especially since he's got history beating Oklahoma State like I mean I think it'd be perfect uh but no I think we really need someone to fully commit to the bit and uh let's have some fun yeah player like there's got to be a former player that would be like dying to do it if you're a former player that like thinks you could do a hype video really well reach out to the UFA and be like let me let me get on the mic yeah like go ahead well I was gonna say Megan says Travis Williams yeah that's what you need that's exactly what you need yeah like that yeah I'm I'm all for that I'm all for that passion and power uh behind it like I don't care who it is if they're good at it like and also when it comes to if you're needing someone to do voice work know me being in radio you know how many people are out there you could just hire be like here's 30 bucks that is really good voices that could get set the mood and the tone you could do like I'll never forget after they beat Old Miss in that uh game in 2020 that had the Thomas the Train thing like wck into the uh thing and Pitman and Barry odm and all them like with yeah it was like dude that's great stuff no one understands it it's random but that was great would have loved that so they're capable by the way we we talked about this I guess it was it was last night during the simulation the uh the orange power it is a thing okay still water that is a thing that they do um because I I saw their football account tweeted out uh it's like orange Friday and it's like the big orange on the graphic and then everybody was quote tweeting it with power so maybe that's a back and forth they do like the Arkansas raise your BS that scoreboard is massive or that video board that they have I don't know I mean I haven't been to Boon picking Stadium we'll find out tomorrow but uh at least on the video game it looks very large yeah well I I was thinking about it to with the power thighing like has there ever been something that sounded awesome that had power in it you know like uh Turtle Power I remember that thing was in Ninja Turtles I'm like ah you know like not exactly that Stadium but they they did a good job of actually having every gate locked but uh you could get in there and kind of see down a little bit it was uh it looked pretty sweet I'm excited did they yell lock the gates isn't that what Pitman kept saying lock the gates or something yeah it's like uh it's immediately what I thought on but also since I went there for baseball and that I'm hoping that the fan base is a little bit different but if they're not that's fine too but those fans were really awful like they were really bad and really mean to a Razorback fans so uh we might be might be in for a treat there and getting some things yelled at I'd be pissed if I couldn't fill up an 8,000 seat stadium for a postseason game as well yeah yeah that was that was tough look tough look by then basketball I should say basketball yeah shout out to John rosin man the king of confirming what has has been long confirmed um I would like to confirm John calip Perry's open public statement that Arkansas is going to play Kansas in an exhibition game uh no that's cool I mean they were still trying to get across the Finish Line I don't think that they've announced an exact date for that yet now that TCU exhibition that they were working on in Dallas um I've heard that might be like November 1st or right around that time so my guess would be if that's the case that the Arkansas Kansas thing would be probably maybe that last week of October or whatever but that that's cool I mean Arkansas is like they're becoming the kings of playing the exhibition Super Bowls Purdue you know Texas in the Moody center it's like every year they got one of these crazy games but it's it's good for the fans because I don't know that there's going to be a good game in Bud Walton Arena or or a really good opponent at least until like you know the calendar flips to 2025 it's just kind of the way it's shaken out uh they've got like one more opening maybe they can sneak somebody in there I don't know but uh that's good it goes to a good cause because it's a charity exhibition and quite honestly the team needs it like you play Baylor in the first week of the season so you need to be tested early um I think like Jonas Adu he needs to see Hunter Dickinson like he he needs that challenge um Boogie flann needs to be locked up by dwan Harris like welcome to college basketball dude you know I think uh I think it's gonna be a good thing both teams are going to get better from it and it lays the foundation I think for actual games in the future it's a good parlay into okay cool we did this um now let's set up a home in home or let's let's do a neutral site with each other so I I'm I'm excited about it man it'll be fun man by the time Arkansas plays Tennessee to open conference play I mean we you know we'll still learn a lot about Arkansas by that point but that by that situation Arkansas is gonna face the damn Gauntlet crazy you got Baylor TCU Kansas Illinois like they're gonna they're gonna have had a nice little run of games there to to prep themselves for the SEC should be good yeah yeah not to mention even Michigan too and in Square Garden I mean yeah just all the all the games mich's not a challenge though that coach sucks yeah that's easy that's that's easy man I just did not know that you are such a Dusty mayter well now I've got to lean into it so it's like up until up until he beats Arkansas in December I'm just gonna drag him through the mud well I mean it's it spreads especially if uh he ends up winning that game against Arkansas people probably have a lot of hatred towards him too but uh still yeah and it's and it's funny because when you were mentioning Curtis about setting up for future I know it's not my decision but I would totally be fine if hey don't do a it to me the Arkansas Kansas basketball thing it's more egregious than like Arkansas Oklahoma State not playing each other in football or whatever because it's not that far what is it maybe four hours to Lawrence like it it's not a bad trip and both of those teams are good um a lot of history between the programs now you've got two you know Hall of Fame coaches just it makes way too much sense uh for this these two teams to play they just need to do it and yeah going to fog that'd be awesome Aaron Torres when he was down here um for the Duke game in Bud Walton Arena the court storm and that UAB weekend where they've got like Co coming in and Malik Thomas now or whatever U but that was never confirmed like they they had him set for a visit but that date was never firm and it's not going to be then it's um last night I heard it was going to be and correct me if you've seen Tipton's thing here but like October uh one weekend in October like the 18th or something like that but that is going down so another five star visiting Arkansas which is just absurd I think that's like four or five of them that he's got set now along with Acuff uh if they want to take three or four freshman it's probably going to be three or four five stars because that's just what he does you think they'll take him to C4 no the one the one guy they took the C4 then you they didn't get him so he he decided on his visit that he was going to Kentucky I say did you hear that they see that quote and I thought that was my first immediate thought I like well I bet so after he went to the went to the club and you know didn't like what he saw you know had a had a killer breakfast over there at C4 I he it's crazy man yeah I forgot all about that story that was phenomenal but I did see also uh this guy he's apparently just a big SEC guy because he's visiting Auburn Kentucky Tennessee LSU and Arkansas so just just the SEC schools for him please it is interesting and LSU the the clubhouse on three that North Carolina quarterback Max Johnson is going to return next season after suffering his broken leg because uh of uh injuries uh like red shirt so another year for Max Johnson good for Max Johnson he will not die nope crazy what is I mean let's see Bowman is a Bowman's a seventh year guy well Ma has Max Johnson been in college longer than Alan Bowman I want to say Max's freshman year was 2020 so I don't I think this is just his fifth year college so the next year he would be a sixth year guy he's one of those guys that just feels like he's been here for for 10 years man you and we we'll have a good old time with it um let's see uh and also bline says uh well clicking but he said chriswell should have came to Arkansas right out of high school I think he could have been good in the Big 12 that's so why would he have gone to Arkansas if he could have been good in the Big 12 just to set up his transfer to the Big 12 I guess yeah easier pipeline he he might be he would a few yeah uh Jason also wants to know football wise according to Josh P Oklahoma state is 20 and two why is it according to Josh Pate I mean I feel like they just something that's true uh Oklahoma state is 20 and two at home since 2021 how do we feel about that I feel like one of those two was one of those two was South Alabama so I don't I don't really feel anything about it uh but I mean they also played a lot of a lot of Big 12 teams in there and you know they're good they're good they're not great they're good and see that's and it's okay to say that like I don't know why people would take that issue as like oh now you're just over overlooking them or you're not respecting him it's like no it's just true because I just looked at their schedule too folks uh in that stretch the only team that they beat that was in the top 25 at home was actually Oklahoma in 2023 and much was last season and then that was uh a three-point win which not saying oklah one good is a good win but that's the only top 25 team that they've beaten at home and Arkansas's not a top 25 team so may not matter but just providing some context to it or he's trying to um but yeah different seasons different years different everything don't don't worry about that I am very interested because I I mean I've never been to Boon picking Stadium I'm interested to see like if it's one of those atmospheres where it's like you know really tough to play like are we G to be able to hear each other think and all that like I I want I want to see what the hype is about is it really like that daunting of a place because frankly like when you hear about the top stadiums toughest places to play I don't really hear Still Water too much no I mean I don't either but well Curtis you went to the basketball arena well how was the arena itself because the baseball stadium was nice because it was new but like how was the basketball arena facility older but it's it's a very historic Place Gallagher IBA and it's uh it it's like the steepest Arena that I can remember being in same deal where it's kind of it's like right on top of you and uh it's it's super loud in there it was cool um what I've heard about Oklahoma about Boon pickings is that like yeah it's you know it's like right on top of you and everything like that but acoustically I guess just like the way the stadium is laid out like the sound it has nowhere to go and so it just gets super loud in there like it doesn't reverberate out or whatever so and then they have uh because the fans are like right on top of you um they have like these like these I like paddles or whatever and they smack the wall and so that gets really loud too but since we're talking Acoustics I will say I I didn't buy that until Arkansas started filling in that other end zone Razer back Stadium's gotten substantially louder when fans are there in the last like 10- 15 years once they started filling that sucker out so I I do kind of buy like when you have an open space out there it hurts your atmosphere a little bit and so I think that's that's that's noteworthy right and uh also I think I remember that two curs just from there was the co year when nobody could go to the game because I think when Arkansas played Oklahoma State in that famous mus after press conference game um like they couldn't I pr from WR they couldn't have any fans in that like I remember it was like literally an empty Stadium An Empty Arena besides the team uh and I remember and but the reason I remember bringing it up is because the vid the uh camera angle looked like you were just like looking from space so D oh yeah man and the uh the um press row or whatever like the media section was kind of in like a top corner and it was it was a little bit uh like I'm not afraid Heights or anything but it's a little bit uneasy you feel like if you stand up and lean forward like you could fall directly on the court kind of deal it's is a little weird I love this comment I was crap where'd it go it was like someone he's like what's the big deal about Oklahoma State here we go here we go no no I mean it took 90 seconds after somebody saying hey Oklahoma State's good to uh also what do you mean what's the big deal they're playing Arkansas tomorrow like you think we're just randomly talking Oklahoma State ball like they're they're playing Arkansas tomorrow they're their opponent they're top 20 they've been above average for 20 straight years I don't know it's not like we're like just randomly being like hey let's let's chat about those boys up in still water and they're playing Arkansas tomorrow that's the big deal like literally their worst season in 20 years was seven and six that was their worst year so yeah I I think that that's worth something because also shant I did actually someone asked in the comments the other day and I went back and commented because he was like where would they rank in the SEC if they were in the SEC and I was like ah about Auburn which like you know still good I think that's about right I think they're similar to Auburn this year as well and like you know that's another big game on the horizon so when it's Auburn week you're gonna ask what's special about Auburn well they'll be playing Arkansas that week so that's gonna be talking about him that's the big deal uh that's it I did like the comment from wet blanket here uh says a record in one score game since 2020 Sam Pitman six and 14 and Mike Gundy is 17 and 18 that's significant that's a good stat oh wow that is a good stat good stat well not for Arkansas but it is it is a noteworthy statol yeah which I've always wondered about this and how you guys feel especially you Cur because I know you've coached and everything but like that is a stat that always gets put up and it's interesting I'm not I'm not saying it but like is that indicative how much of an indication of a coach and a coaching prowess and a coaching success Talent whatever does those one- score game records actually mean like it I mean because that to me is always a huge factor in how a coach can handle those times of close games and fourth quarters and taking care of business yeah I mean it it it absolutely matters it it completely factors in um execution know in those situations it's uh it's key and it it starts with the coach and the plan um and and the decisionmaking and the confidence in said decisions you know so I see those records and that that doesn't necessarily um surprise me at all yeah I mean that's that's a pretty solid sample size there too you know so not a small thing I also would be remiss if I didn't mention that last night on our stream when we did the simulation of this game Arkansas kind of crapped their pants down the stretch and uh lost that one score game so I mean we'll see what the correlation is this is our first week doing it we'll find out tomorrow but uh I also did y were y'all ever big Phil Phil steel fans yeah yeah read his mag I used to get his magazine every year and remember remember in his magazine he would always do a thing about uh teams that the year before were like really good in one score games or really bad ones score games it typically flipped year to year like it's not one of like it's a it's a metric that's not a stable one where it's like oh if you're bad in one score games this year you're going to be bad in one score games this year like it's usually something that is basically luck based now I I think that obviously when you're talking about head coaches in multiple years I definitely think it's worth noting but uh so if you're if you're a Phil steel fan you're probably shouting at your screen like actually that means they're going to go not saying that means we should Crown Sam Pitman but I think there's like that can that can certainly be a factor but I think that is a very optimistic way to look at it yeah because listen going back like last year to me was without question the most frustrating one Lo uh one score loss games that you had the under Sam Pitman because you went through a stretch where there was like five of them in a row it felt like he lost to BYU then LSU he did was a& in by 12 but then Old Miss and then Alabama and then Mississippi State we're all one one scores and then Florida is when you won on the road by a field goal but then you know just as it makes sense the the teams like Auburn at home and Missouri at home you get Blitz greed so can't can't make any sense out of that which which is which is the most brutal one one possession loss uh which is the most brutal one possession loss that Sam Pitman suffered at Arkansas does it have to be A&M of 2022 probably maybe that one that one's a tough one because they were they ranked eighth going into that game or something like that I will say the BYU game last year uh someone in the chat I don't know who it was and I don't feel like scrolling but I saw someone say that this game in Oklahoma state is similar to that BYU game in that like it's such a swing I think Arkansas's season when you talk about what went wrong that BYU game accelerated their downfall pretty quickly so uh that was a devastating one but I think they M 2022 is tough yeah Liberty terrible I don't know Quincy Madu who almost single-handedly won that game for Arkansas yeah he he did he did because that's like yeah I mean those are those are good ones because I'm just going through the schedule here of s Pim I know we're talking about history and this is a new year but it's like you know going back to even his first season like that Auburn loss where they got screwed by the officials was was a rough one um yeah you could say LSU pretty much all their losses since 2019 have been brw because they've all been by a field goal uh the ones that they've lost yeah that one two years ago was when uh KJ didn't play and but they still shut down Daniels they last like 13 to 10 or whatever that was that was stupid you remember they went to Kade foron in the second half and he started Dyson and it was like yeah he had that touchdown pass like yeah and it was like if they had start Kade foron well what was funny is like do you got I don't know if you guys want to know off the top of your head but Arkansas average defensively as far as points given up that year they were averaging like 36 points per game given up and then when they held LSU to 10 13 points everyone's like why yeah like why why is that the case that was brutal that Missouri lost back that same year in 2022 was brutal so again there's been one point losses or one possession losses are usually pretty brutal as it is it doesn't matter matter who it's against but I tell you what if if Oklahoma State wins this game tomorrow we're gonna have to just open up this show on Monday we're just gonna open it up for the chat to apologize to the Big 12 yes no seriously oh man I mean like look we P it's not but right like John and I picked Arkansas to win this game but it's crazy how many people like have not even considered that Arkansas could lose this game like it has not even entered still college football games going on though tomorrow and uh some good ones to get into as well but the biggest one let's just be honest is Texas and Michigan and uh if you want to check out our all that we feel like Texas is Gonna Roll in this game right yep okay I actually am not I actually and I picked M Michigan to cover now listen Texas is the best no I have I don't even know the dude's name it's like orgy or something like that it is and that's not a joke I'm not making a joke like their quarterback's last name is O rji that's that's unfortunate I'm being dead serious um I do think like Michigan's probably gonna take a step back this year and be more of like a nine1 win team rather than the freaking Allstar Squad they had last year but I do think it's dangerous when like so many people are on Texas the line's up to seven now and it's like Michigan's not a place you just go in and and Waltz out of there with a double digit Victory uh now Texas is very much capable of doing it but I'm not 100% convinced yet that they're just gonna dominate him I mean I could I mean I mean it's college football it's chaos who knows but man like here's the thing if Texas doesn't win this game though man I'm out I'm out on Texas sucks yeah yeah exactly the sucks Michigan still has that defense though the defense is still nasty um they just got to figure out they have zero passing game right now and maybe that dude figures it out this week but like they still run the ball effectively and they still have a really really good defense that alone is enough to keep them in the game so which by the way Brady's asking who Michigan got to replace Harbaugh they just promoted the DC right so it's like it's not who's working for free yeah so it's like it's not like there was a whole overhaul where it's like this is a completely new situation or anything like that also speaking of Michigan coaches shout out Conor stallion he's been uh promoted to interim head coach at his high school because uh their other coach had a stroke all right I saw that news too and I'm like man like like the fact that Brett McMurphy's reporting this I'm like man I guess it's that big they lost like 52 to nothing in their first first game too dude yeah well put the coach in the hospital after that gez yeah man I would be too um let's see so other games of note uh that are going to be in the early window like there's some ranked teams but not not anything like major but like you know like that Kansas state two lane game could be interesting I guess you know it could be two lane also in no are they as good as La weren't they really good last year two lane or am I yeah two Lane's been good for the last you know few years uh they're interesting they're pretty old they have a really good running back they their quarterback situation they uh brought in a guy from Oregon Tai Thompson who like people thought Tai Thompson should start over Bo Knicks they bring him in and all of a sudden they have a red shirt freshman beat him out so I'm kind of interested in that kid and interested in two lane I think they're like nine or 10o underdogs at home against Kansas state who's ranked in a good team I think that's a that's a sneaky one yeah I actually forgot about uh T last year played Old Miss and it was uh at home if I'm not mistaken and they actually gave him a game like I mean it it was interesting then they won every other game J yeah they won every other game in the regular season then they lost in the championship game to the Future back coach according to Kur Wilkerson of Brett Lashley and SMU and then uh they ended up losing their bow game to Virginia Tech but yeah still a good team two lane beat some they beat USC or someone in a bowl game a couple years ago yeah which coton yeah it was like a great it was one of it was a phenomenal game like back and forth crazy stuff going on so yeah that that was good like I know it's sidebar but it just always makes me think talk about two lane having a good stretch of years like who who's your favorite or anything that you think of in history of like that non power five team that was really good for a stretch that you're kind of like yeah I kind of like them you know like was it Houston I loved Houston and they Houston's damn like sneaky had like six really good coaches come through there yeah um I mean Dana hogerson they're about to fire him that's where Houston's at as a program they're about to fire I guess they already fired him and now I don't know who they have there now but like they've had you know hogerson sulin Tom Herman major Apple White I mean the names yeah yeah they BRS yeah it was hard not to like Boise State when they were doing their thing the blue Turf and like it was yeah that was fun but I I was uh I was big on Hawaii for that year Colt Bron BN R yeah uh no I I like Hawaii I like Boise the Boise I love because I didn't like Oklahoma and when that was still one of my favorite bowl games of all time is that sugar bowl or Fiesta Bowl like the hook and ladder on fourth down and then the Statue of Liberty play like yeah that was that was cool I like them and uh you know I I was I was thinking about this I actually did like those uh I know they're big now but like those West Virginia teams with Rich Rodriguez like they were kind of non power five I guess they were in the Big East or whatever but man they were they were fun offenses to watch back then Steve Slayton and Pat White Noel dine two more I gotta mention Coastal Carolina in 2020 I bet on Coastal Carolina in every single game except for one won and they covered every single game except that one that was my favorite team they were like my favorite team of the year I bet on them against BYU and they beat Zack Wilson I was so excited but TCU which I know everyone's get like they're in the Big 12 or back in the day they weren't and I used to love TCU back when Gary Patterson like had him going 11 and one every year in the Mountain West and Andy Dalton yeah Andy Dalton they they they lost to belum in the Rose Ball yeah or did they beat Bel in the Rose bow ah I I think they might have beat him in the Rose Bowl probably so like I don't know that's that was ever won a Rose Bowl we always would say he went to Rose BS but I don't think he won them no I well I I can't remember I have to go back because they always play the big uh Pack 12 team right so is always like USC or Oregon pretty much every year I remember them losing to Oregon yeah um let's see some other games of note tomorrow he said the early slots got some good games some of those games uh right there but um yeah you got an interesting one between Kansas and Illinois that's a sneaky good one I feel like you got speaking of Brett belum that game's being played and champagne and Kansas number 19 I threw a little uh I threw a little Bert action in there yeah I actually like Kansas football Believe It or Not uh I just think it's cool that they were so bad for so long and now they're not um yeah I threw a little love on Bert huh pause Kansas has one of the best quarterbacks in the country that guy's electric and I'm glad he's healthy um yeah that Kansas offense is is going to be pretty cool and they look really good last week against a no-name opponent but uh yeah I'm interested they played last year these two teams and I bet on Bert last year and really paid the price for it hopefully he's able to do you a more solid this year they uh I get are they playing this one in Arrowhead uh no this one's in Champagne oh okay okay yeah Kansas playing their home games like some of them are in the sport KC like the soccer deal and then the other ones are in Arrowhead it's kind of cool yeah they're renovating their Stadium yeah and uh like here here thing funny thing about Kansas Kansas is either just trash or they end up being actually really good like when Mark mangino was there like they were winning 10 11 games and remember that quarterback Sunshine looking dude when they were really really good that year yeah dude what was his name it was when them in Missouri were both like yeah undefeated and they play at the end of the year kind of deal like yeah yeah Missouri played Arkansas and the Cotton Bowl because they lost to Kansas and Kansas went to the Orange Bowl or whatever it was so yeah that was a wild time it was Bobby patrino versus Kansas in the Orange Bowl yep and uh I think Bobby patrino lost that game or did they win that game wasn't totally sure it's it's hard hard to keep up these days you know going way back wi into the depths of everything but this is how weird I am because every single time like a name gets brought up and I know it's going to drive me crazy I have to find out immediately or else I just won't be able to like exist uh but uh yeah that team man they went 12- one that year yeah they won the Orange Bowl because a TB was the like a big time player on that Kansas team wasn't he oh yeah wanted to say yeah keep to Le Todd reesing there it is there reing reesing yes he was good he was uh always got him mixed up because one didn't like Notre Dame have a quarterback here recently that Tommy Reese who ended up being their OC and now he's somewhere yeah so he always threw me off there but uh good matchup there you know the one that's the top 25 game that I think like no one really cares or even talking about and maybe it's just because I'm living under a rock but the Tennessee NC State game is just seems like all right whatever it's like being played there at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte Tennessee I didn't realize until two minutes ago that it's a neutral sight game yeah any uh I know we did our picks and everything but anything you think NC state has a chance in this one they do I I just I'm I think might be a little bit higher on Tennessee than some others that offense is good man and their defensive line is super super underrated I think I think it's a really good unit but um I just I don't know that much about NC State other than they like weirdly struggled I think a little bit in week one there but I like Tennessee to handle business well you know what's funny is like you always assume with the Josh hyp offense whoever is playing quarterback for him is gonna put up numbers he's always gonna throw I think this Nico kid is the best quarterback Josh Hy's ever had um which which may sound like a bold take he was a festar recruit like he was a massive recruit who played a little bit for him last year I think that kid might be uh like next year I think he's gonna be like the unanimous over number one overall pick so I think like I'm just kind of betting on him having a massive year and having like 40 some touchdowns I'm gonna cover when they're playing teams that I know they're better than I'm betting them to cover every time they covered last week by like 30 points yeah and speaking of Coastal Carolina I think that the Grayson McCall kid is NC State's quarterback now I'm pretty sure by the way and I've Grayson McCall was on that 2020 team that I loved he's a grinder he's a warrior he's a he's a good team leader good good man of character he's not that good he's not like power five like he's not good enough to like really Thrive against top competition he was a great quarterback for the the W wind Dixie conference that he was in before but yeah he ain't ready for the big boys um any uh like I guess the other game too that we talking about Boise State but Oregon plays Boise State I know it's not Boise State of old but I'm I'm hopeful that maybe because Oregon did not look great in their opening game maybe there's some dude in their favorite by like 20 in this game yeah yeah it's a lot of points man between that and also Oklahoma's favored by 28 over Houston which Houston man they look bad against uh Barry odm's team last week in UNLV but still I I try to avoid that trap of like teams in week one who struggle some but you still feel like they're going to be pretty good I kind of feel that way with Oregon um but I don't know that's a lot of points especially because I'm like Boise State's probably gonna score you know what they score last week 50 something a ton yeah yeah and their quarterback I mean he beat out tayor green like let's just call it what it is he also beat out Malachi Nelson a five-star recruit from USC who they brought in to beat him he beat him out too uh he had a pretty good week last year their running back uh well last week their running back ran for like 270 yards or something stupid like that like 270 yards and five touchdowns uh so like you know that's an offense right there and uh Oregon only scored 24 points or whatever last week and they're supposed to have you know the best quarterback and best receivers in the country it's that's GNA be an interesting game if Oregon if Oregon wins that game and covers the spread I think people should be pretty impressed frankly yeah yeah well Jared Z Brans ain't walking through that door for Boise State though so you mean the cover athlete yeah the NCAA football cover athlete the greatest one of all time yeah according to Brady I sold that running back short 267 and six touchdowns that's good lord it's not bad it's not bad um six touchdowns like hey can you name random question can you name the Razer back that has six touchdown rushing touchdowns in a game Alex Collins no he definitely had six touchdowns in a game against FIU didn't he no like rushing touchdowns in the game there's only been one even close you guys aren't going to get it it was Madre Hill 95 all right yeah that's I would not have got that now I know that's why I didn't want to time I'll let you guys guess because I knew you weren't gonna get it um okay so SEC wise you got the first actual SEC game going on Kentucky and South Carolina uh this game's in Lexington at Kroger field ky's pretty heavily favorites man like you talk about not wanting to look too much into like week one performances and all that I'm looking into that one South Carolina sucks and I think Kentucky wins this one pretty big so I think South Carolina covers I'm that's I'm very confident in that actually I I picked it in our in our weekly pick them which by the way everybody go check that out inside ara.com when we do our predictions for Arkansas we also go ahead and pick the SEC games against the spread I had South Carolina covering because of what you said earlier Curtis you don't want to overreact to the week one like slip up which South Carolina let's be clear did slip up in J you know they look horrible uh and Kentucky played a little bit of a nothing game that I think even got shortened by the rain um you know I think it's going to be one of those oh these guys suck and they're we're about to roll them and that's a oddly enough that's kind of a weird rivalry those two teams don't like each other at all so it's kind of one of those throw the records out the window type of deals but yeah and it listen if Kentucky blows their doors off then you really gotta start wondering about Shane Beamer I wonder though if D loggin is gonna get that Dan Enos treatment at some point because that offense was yeah their defense is pretty good but offensively man oh man Curtis this is the record book right here throw it out out of here oh I it was that game and there's also a r is a South Carolina Missouri I feel like have a random rivalry now too like yeah the colombias or whatever yeah battle for the colombias everyone's got a rivalry you gotta have something some name to it um by the way what what are y'all's thoughts just overall in general about Mark STS like is he a great coach he's a good coach to very good I would say like is he gonna be at Kentucky forever I guess I mean I don't see why not yeah he's been he's been doing fine he might be the new Gundy like the defensive Gundy where it's like he's found the perfect little situation where he can always do what that fan base wants nothing more nothing less and by the way credit to him it's well said his first two years there I believe they went three and N three and N first two years and he just kept on plugging away and then eventually got up and you know won 10 games that one year like he's uh he built that [ __ ] from the ground up and uh it's been cool to watch Kentucky football was a joke for a long time like growing up I remember when Arkansas lost to them in 2007 I was like good Lord like what are we doing here um now it's like Kentucky football is like a respectable organization well that year that Arkansas lost to M7 was when uh Kentucky actually won 10 games with Andre Woodson Andre Woodson yeah that quarterback the only two games LSU lost that year Champions were to aranson LSU or aranson Kentucky both in triple overtime not that I remember that year and that anybody cares you remember when they beat Chad Morris without a quarterback yeah Lyn Bowden dud Lyn Bowden was nasty he was dude Curtis I'm so glad you brought that up because that if you there's a lot of indications but if there's just in a box that you could sum up of been like this is why Chad Morris sucked that's a great one be like they lost to a team that didn't even have a quarterback did not have a quarterback man and they had a rakem Boyd 80- yard touchdown on the first play of the game and I want to say Tay and Burks almost house to punt that game too like they had like a bunch of like weird luck that had went their way and still lost uh that was the day I gave up on Chad Morris yeah well day I gave up was when they beat Portland State 20- 13 at home that's I'm like yeah this ain't it I was still spin zoning at that point I was like you know what we'll see get Sparkle in there it'll it'll work yeah I mean Portland State you know this was their Super Bowl you know there coming in hot you know you got to give them credit for that um Jaren shout out aen Watson EV Baker for bringing him up yeah yeah rest in peace the Hefty Lefty man I me Jared lawren was the best uh also this this other game which I'm gonna bring up and I know we brought up but I can't wait because we're going to be home hopefully in time for this one because it's at 9:30 central time Mississippi State and Arizona State yeah this that's a fun late game dude I I guess we can't can't say Pack 12 after dark anymore so uh we can't oh it doesn't exist Yeah well yeah they're not in it like fair enough yeah it's a big SEC Big 12 matchup the other SEC Big 12 matchup that everyone's been looking forward to but um I'm excited about this one too because if there was ever a game that has the potential to get weird that's the one right there uh because I like I know Herm Edwards isn't the coach there anymore but I'm just always for some reason going to think of Herm Edwards at Arizona State and then you got Jeff lebby of course in Mississippi State offensive minded guy but yeah I feel like that one could get pretty pretty crazy pretty fun I know they like they were obviously not challenged at all but I watched about a quarters worth of Mississippi State last week and I thought you know what they're not to be the team that's picked you know last or just ahead of Vanderbilt or whatever in SEC like they're not they're not bad yeah so we'll see what they're all about I thought Arizona State looked good last week too they did yeah they did Mississippi State carry the banners for us Arkansas's going to do it in the morning yeah come on man might do it carry the banners like hold like this is a proud conference this a proud damn conference don't go lose to a lowly scrub Big 12 school what are we doing NC as we know the Big 12 worst Conference of all time terrible defense is leby should carve it up down there come on yeah did we get a Jordan crook injury update was he hurt I know he I think he was hurt I think he got hurt last week oh no I we have not jumped into that part of the show yet where we've given injury updates on the former Razer backs that transferred out of the program um but green will not play this weekend yes you will not we we we've gotten our our fair share of AJ Green updates I did laugh because I did see someone in the chat earlier say something about like I'm glad AJ Green's not playing this game because he'd go for like 200 yards against us because that's what happens I'm like yeah it's kind of kind of true in a way yeah former Razer backs and guys that transfer out end up that would be the deal where like uh you know oi Gordon lowers the boom and gets tossed for targeting or something in the first quarter and then AJ Green comes in and rushes for 235 that's that's what I'm hopeful for where no one gets hurt but I'm hoping that uh Arkansas gets a pick and then Ole Gordon gets Jed for targeting because he tried to make a tackle that would be that that'd be helpful for Arkansas if they did that would not be the first time that uh Oly Gordon was disciplined in the last few months no no it would not yeah he didn't rules it seems he didn't get those 50 carries though didn't have the punishment I mean he's it wasn't far away from getting the 50 carries last week he'll get it this week do do y'all remember just speaking of that do y'all remember the Alabama player that got arrested and it was I think it was in Louisiana and like the judge was like these boys don't have air conditionings and practices and whatnot like it's a tough that's tough G thing that they have to deal with so I'm dropping all the charges it's like air conditioning like that was that was he had a gun on him I believe I was like I've heard enough first quarter suspension yep self-imposed don't worry NCA we got this first quarter he's not playing yeah that's why it's always smart folks if you can avoid it to have a cupcake in your first game so that way if someone gets in trouble in the off season you only get to miss the game that doesn't matter uh that's like a I mean there's probably other reasons for it but that's a helpful thing it's a little buffer you know to get you some time to where because you can't be like well we're not spin for this game but the next game that's when he's going to be serving you don't want to have your players walking on eggshells around the bar in the summer you know you want them to kind of know they can live Young Wild and Free like like dmac did in 2006 yeah his toe almost fell off a big toe almost which you know it's one of those crazy things of like what if dude kicking a curb with flip-flops on doesn't feel like that feel pretty good but came back and end up being pretty good on that uh Mr bloodline saying is is Andrew Armstrong playing or not we need to know should I take my blood pressure pill now or not take it anyway now I mean yeah you should take it yeah I mean you think your blood pressure is going to be stable just CU still water that would suck but no this is gonna be awesome I think I saw kickoff it's gonna be like 70 say 71 degrees a kickoff let's go and by time the game ends assuming that it you know ends as a regular scheduled game the high is going to be 80 and sunny so yeah yeah can't can't ask for more than that big time early September so uh still bring sunscreen though folks because it is not in a dome and you know in case you didn't know how the Sun works at noonish it's at the top so you know you don't have the shade trying to help y'all out take advice from the man with the tan that's right that's right all natural baby all natural right here perfect um Andrew what are you saying that gives you those facial expressions what do you want to bring I was just laughing at some of the comments but I wanted to touch on this one that said y'all talking to dvo or AJ tomorrow not that it matters just remembered us bringing it up we would love to I mean I'm not gonna make any promises dvo if case um unbias brim says I'll be getting a couple hours of sleep after getting off at 600 and waking up around 11:4 Eastern Standard time for the game schedule already figured out so there you go that's good stuff yeah uh all right so we talked about games and everything I know we just got a few minutes left uh I want to bring up hey what y'all think of last night's NFL game mean great game yeah hell of a way to start the season yeah it was a good game and uh I agree with Patrick Mahomes assessment that if uh Isaiah likely wore white cleats he probably would have they probably wouldn't have been able to overturn that yeah well I laughed because and I don't care one way or the other but you know Jackson saying you know that's a touchdown catch in my mind okay well it wasn't but it wasn't how about the play before you hit the dude that is so freaking wide open like nobody's bringing that up I feel like like that that's what you should have done is hit the guy that's could could have danced into the End Zone by himself C and I were talking about this earlier I was like this was like the quintessential Lamar performance where it's like it's hard to nitpick him too much cuz I mean he had 400 yards of offense of their like 420 or whatever like he he pretty much carried him all game even on that drive made a couple crazy throws but then you get down there and it's like just make that one just make that one dude um and so you know he's gonna have to eventually get over that hump and start beating some of the like I mean I think he's I think I saw Nick Wright was saying he's four and 12 against like momes the Steelers and in playoff games like if you add those three things all together like in the biggest games of his career he is he's just not risen to the occasion necessarily but uh I love Lamar and I hope he gets his Super Bowl this year if the Texans don't get their Super Bowl this year um I I I I came away from that game still like you know I think both of those teams they're probably going to play again down the stretch and so it's it just adds another layer to it all chiefs are getting all the calls man they had a Spagnola or whatever getting the timeout they said that you know only had coaches can call timeouts like boy and there were a lot of calls there were like I think there were four penalties on the first like seven plays or something like that uh lot of lot of yellow flag out there uh well Mrs wilkerson's over here already putting stuff out says that was tough for the Ravens actually that's a very hog type of call well we had just finished seeing something very similar in our simulation she's right about that yeah if y'all haven't watched that you guys need to go back and watch our live stream from last night with the EA Sports college football 25 I mean that was just textbook it it was almost like in the game they knew they knew We're Not Gonna spoil it I guess we kind of already have but yeah go go watch it it's we were talking on uh we were talking on pot of that nature this morning I just said said for any you know Oklahoma State fans who might be watching because we've had a lot of them and we appreciate that uh
