Sen. Lindsey Graham says Trump will give Ukraine a lot of leverage to end the war

right a lot of the western support potentially depends on the presidential election I just wonder what your thoughts were what you've heard today and how important the US contribution remains well I think before the election we need to allow him to effectively use the weapons we met with him before he's very frustrated he can't hit the uh Russian airfields uh that are putting pressure on the East so we can do that uh they're retired F-16 pis all over Europe all over NATO that can get into these Chets and expedite the use to the f-16s we learned from him that the sanctions are not working there's a lot of parts from all over the world going into the Russian military Congress in September can up sanctions those are the things we can do before the election after the election I want to do a supplemental funding bill to help Israel we have disasters at home have to be funded and also more Aid to Ukraine uh after the election before the next president's sworn in so there's a lot we can do and hopefully next spring would be in a situation to bring about a better a peaceful outcome so you have the year of President Trump you you have spoken to many times about all these key issues as well do you think actually that his stance on Ukraine could be more supportive in his rhetoric now and actually in his action if he were to be elected yeah I think what he'll do is give uh Ukraine a lot of Leverage to end the war we all want to end the war the goal is to make sure there's no third Invasion what can we do to end this war in a way not to entice China to invade Taiwan to make sure that it was a a mistake by Putin and to make sure the territorial Integrity of Ukraine is respected forever so maybe a pathway to Nato here's what I think president Trump wants to do end the fighting but he's smart enough to know how you end the war in Ukraine depends whether or not other Wars will start
