We are just two days away from the start of the college football season right here in Amherst. The UB Bulls set to kick off their 2024 season on Thursday night and when the game gets underway, it won't just mark the start of a new season for the Bulls, but the start of a new era Pete Lembo coming over after serving a special teams coordinator at South Carolina in the SEC now comes to you to take over as the team's head coach, his first game underway Thursday night and it'll show what kind of culture he's been able to implement with this team with this program. One that he's tasked with turning around after it went just three and nine last season, a key area of emphasis for Lembo morale and making sure that this team feels good about itself going into this week's season opener at the end of the day. You're gonna have mistakes, you're gonna have adversity throughout the season. And I think the morale of the team is good and that's a huge thing that I've seen with this team and how we've, we've grown to, you know, mesh together, uh you know, with the transfer portal and you guys coming in, um, we, we gel together well, and you're gonna see that on the el for, for 12 weeks over the course of the season. Can we keep that morale up? So, I'm really excited that it's where it's at right now. And I'm glad that I'm not the one saying that I'm glad that that's coming from our team. That's ultimately what matters. But now the, now the next test is staining it veteran faces like linebacker and West Seneca native Sean Dolak set to lead on defense. While on offense, there's a new quarterback taking snaps in CJ Abana, the Bulls set to kick off their season Thursday night right here against Lafayette on your side in Amherst, Jonathan Acosta Channel Two sports.
